Wow dude! Matt, That was a seriously killer short film right there. So much to say……I’ll start by once again saying that your videography, editing & soundtrack selections were so on point. I felt like I was actually on the trip with you! The still shots in Monument Valley were epic, as well as all the drone footage you added. Simply spectacular! I’ve lived in Montana and Colorado out west and climbed mountains and seen what I thought was beauty, but I think you “Johnny One Bettered” me as my tour guide into Southern Utah and Arizona. You just can’t unsee that natural beauty of the area. I just kept getting images of the old west running through my head and the Pan Am was my Trusted Steed! Lol….The sunsets and everything was just breathtaking, man. Btw, wish we had an Eagle Rider here in the Midwest!!! Can’t find anywhere to rent a bike around here. Did you see any Rattlesnakes?? I’m petrified of snakes and undoubtedly, that would have been constantly a thought of mine. 😂 Great job to all the guys as well for just being genuine fellas and enjoying themselves. You really know how to make someone feel like their life suddenly isn’t what it should be. I mean that in a good way of course. 😂 great job! Can’t wait for the next one wherever that may be, but I know one thing, “it’ll almost always be better done on two wheels”! Peace bro, and can’t wait for my Tshirt to get here either! 🤜🤛
Seriously appreciate this comment Steven. I’m going to pin it. Your comment is exactly the message and vibe that I try to illustrate in my videos. No rattle snakes thank goodness. Haha. Enjoy the ride my friend. Thanks for ordering a short as well. I appreciate it. I think you’ll like the quality. Take care.
Dude your videos are seriously as good as it gets. I've seen every one. This one was in my home. I grew up in Escalante and live in Henrieville. Wish I could put together a group like you guys. I've been here 38 years and this one really made me appreciate it. Top notch to say the least man. We're going to try and do your Route 66 and Sedona this yr. Only have 1,500 miles on the new 23 Street Glide Special. Keep em coming. Can't wait for the next one!
Haha he'll love this comment. I think you're right though. I always do everything I can to get him out. This time he decided he had more important things to do I guess. Kinda a loser if you ask me.
Yeah Arizona and Utah are an absolute stunning gem! A deep dive series would be nice. Something like Bryce Canyon to Sedona and Prescott area! There is a very beautiful dirt road in the near of Prescott leading to an old gold mining mountain area which I've seen in a 4x4 video which you should check out when you are there I am pretty sure it was Crown King or Bradshaw City. There were actually quite some bikers in that town when I watched that video so it's actually a legit biking destination - so it's not just that you can only go there in a 4x4.
Hands down you have one of the best ride channels on YT. The production value and footage is documentary quality. You must have spent a pretty penny on camera, sound and other equipment. Fitting that you're in CA; your stuff is Hollywood worthy bro. Good on ya. My son took the grandkids to Universal Studios this week so I told them to stop by Laidlaws and pick me up a t-shirt. Doubt they did it tho...the ingrates! LOL. Peace.
Haha! Tell them to come see me. We will send you a pic as well. Thank you for the positive feedback. I got some good equipment but it's all normal enthusiast stuff. Nothing really professional. Just a lot of time doing it and a lot of practice editing
@@MattLaidlaw well they ended up staying in Laguna Beach so maybe too far to get up your way. But one of these days, I'm going to swing by and say hey. Wife has family in LA area so I'll get there sooner or later. ✌

Always a tough time of year putting the bikes away. I wouldn't know about that though. Haha. Seriously though, thanks for watching. I glad I can keep the love of motorcycling alive for you during the cold months.
Having ridden a bunch of these trip, the scenery NEVER gets old. It's just so beautiful out there. I'm in awe every time I hit the road. Thanks for the memories and a great video!
Another great travel episode!!! What happened to my life time "ride with the Laidlaws crew-" certificate. Maybe is does not include adventure bikes (which by the way is the fastest growing...). No seriously, what a great trip, thanks for sharing.
Hi Matt, I'm inspired. I am going to take Mickey's advice and rent a Pan American. I enjoy all of your videos and would like to hang out with you guys. Keep up the good work!
I wish I could have gone on the Sturgis trip and the Santa Barbara trip as well, but I have to remind myself I'm fortunate to go on any of these at all so i can't complain!
Wow, the grandeur and beaty of this great country, spectacular! Enjoying good times and great friends all while on two wheels, can't wait to ride out west myself. What a trip, great video!
@@MattLaidlawMatt, I’d be intrigued to know what you thought of the BMW. I fully understand you’re a Harley Dealer man and have not only brand loyalties, but USA loyalties too. Nevertheless a little opening up about it would keep us Europeans abreast of your views.

Contemplating getting back on a bike after a few years away. Came across Matt and his buddies when the Sturgis trip videos came out. I have spent the last couple of weeks going back and watching most of the older stuff. 2024 will be my year to get back on a bike, these videos cemented the fact. Thanks Matt (and friends), hope to see you on the road next year.
Would be rather interested in the MPG on the KTM, the BMW 1250 and the Pan America, on trips like this. Highway 12 on that ridge would be a REALLY cool spot to pull out the DJI drone and get some good footage, next time. Your timing of the year with the Azure blue skys out there makes a huge difference in how that whole red rocked area videos. Low sun = great shots. Matt, your video's are proof that, chosen wisely, once you get out of CA and NV and into UT, AZ, CO, WY MT SD.... on vacation.... it's never about the DESTINATION, it's about the JOURNEY getting to and from there. I would DEFINITELY want tubeless rims for a trip like this on my bike, with a plug kit and a battery powered air pump. A punctured tire out there would be a huge bummer.
Well said. The KTM was getting the best MPG at like 55. Depending on riding. We were really moving out on the highway. Pan Americas usually get me around 40 MPG. That's riding like a douche bag though.

Absolutely amazing. We have been on most of the roads in the video but in a car/suv. My dream is riding the paved roads on the Road Glide. Great crew! Second those that were happy Mickey was back! Looking forward to your next video!
When you guys return to this route, try taking UT 14 out of Cedar city, and taking the cut off 148 and 143 to see Cedar breaks. It’s every bit as scenic if not more so than UT 20 over to US 89.
Pretty neat narrating the route while video riding in background. What a breath of fresh air this video. That type of riding through roads like that, not gnarly stuff, looks like how I’d like to ADV ride. Stunning scenery.
What a great weekend...spectacular. Definitely made for an ADV bike with long legs. Harley should bring out the Pan America in the Fast Johnnie colour.
Matt, your videos are put together so well, the combination of first person, drone, and stills really make it feel like we are there with you. It really makes me dream of all the places I want go see first hand. We traveled NM/AZ last October, and the ride into Utah and into Moab was memorable for sure, definitely need to come back and see more.

The production value on these videos is so high. Great footage. Great, fitting music. Great editing. I wind up watching these videos all the way through. Nicely done!
Someone who has a decent amount of Motorcycle riding experience and the right bike can handle it. It isn't a beginner ride by any stretch of the imagination but you don't have to be an expert off-road rider either.
Another awesome video Matt. Thanks for sharing it with us. Matt Swedlund's and your channel are my two favorites. 👍👍 🏍 🏍 Can't forget about M$B. His channel is awesome too.
Amazing video as always! On a side note, if anyone is complaining about this channel being all about and only Harley Davidson then maybe they're watching the wrong channel. Anyway huge fan brother love all your content and in a few years I will fly out and by next bike from your dealership. Anyway safe travels and always love the content.
Thanks Bryan, these types of comments are my favorite. 4th Harley? Nice man. Yes, stop in Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday. I'm usually here. Come say hi. I appreciate you following and supporting the channel. Enjoy the ride man.
Great video. Great editing. Breathtaking scenery.
Thank you! Thanks for checking it out!
we drove the Moki dugway with an Ultra Limited. Downhill ,wasn't that so funny 😅 but,the work was worth it.
By the way, thanks for this awesome Video
Very awesome road trip 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦
Just epic! LOVE that area... So majestic.
Freaking Awesome I love Utah riding .. just outstanding and most of the west so many hidden gems
Tons of hidden gems. I could ride the western United States for the rest of my life and be good.

Matt that was un Awesome video .
You guys ain't no joke you put it down for real.
Good seeing Steve out there.
Where's Andrew and Brandon.?
Keep um coming.
As always a great video, editing, and background soundtrack, but Matt you run the dealership, take off a bit earlier instead of closing time so you don’t get to your first stop at 3:00 in the morning, lol. Keep them coming!
The production value on these videos is so high. Great footage. Great, fitting music. Great editing. I wind up watching these videos all the way through. Nicely done!
Haha, sorry I made you go down the RUclips time suck. Glad you enjoyed it though. Thanks for watching
Great ride, thanks for sharing. Looks like one just about anyone could do with the right bike
Can't forget about M$B. His channel is awesome too.
Amazing video as always! On a side note, if anyone is complaining about this channel being all about and only Harley Davidson then maybe they're watching the wrong channel. You are a Laidlaw, that works at Laidlaw Harley Davidson so by its nature kinda is a Harley Davidson channel. Keep the videos rolling! Cheers.
Haha. Well said. People kinda who what to expect when they come here. Thanks for the comment my friend.
Once again Matt, you and your team nailed it! You make the best motovlogs out there. Thanks for the tour through the sights in Utah. Definitely makes me want to buy a Pan America!
Looks like a pretty epic trip. I was out that way mid-October doing Monument Valley, Moki Dugway, Valley of the Gods before hitting four corners and half of the COBDR.
20/20 hindsight, but Valley of the Gods has quite a bit of dispersed camping and is simply an amazing place to overnight.
