Matt Laidlaw is THE BEST. No Harley channel to my knowledge does this better! The vlog style intertwined with filmography and cinematic scenes and some historical background and calm background music is just an astounding level of detail!
I really enjoy your way of narrating your videos and the music always seems to perfectly fit the content. Well done, Matt! So very kind of Andrew to help that stranded lady, and Stephan is hilarious, loved him being part of this video!
I couldn’t agree more with all you said. I definitely enjoy the history and how Matt narrates his videos. Stephan is definitely hilarious and with that mustache he looks like he could be Matt’s uncle.
Haha yea, Stefan was a welcome addition to the crew. I'm not sure why we rejected his application so many times. Hah! Thanks for the props! and thank you for watching
This should win an award of some kind? I truly enjoyed watching this and felt the energy behind every exploration they accomplished! really a fabulous piece of motorcycling documentary for Matt & crew!
Props to Andrew for helping that lady out, firstly with his time then by making sure she would be ok waiting for more help. Also, the music choice on this is amazing. 🔥🔥
Was hoping for a Sturgis series when I saw you and Mr Bogan slip past the camera on another creators vid. Whoever is doing the production work and selecting the music for this episode is doing an amazing job, and deserves a raise :)
WoW! That 120 degree weather ain't no joke. The scenery coming West to Sturgis is far better than coming from the East. Great footage and editing as always.
Reminded me once leaving Durango, CO at 5am, 38 degrees, with a buddy on his Heritage, me on my Softail Standard. Kept reaching down alongside the heads to get heat to my hands. Rode all day, over 500 miles to land in the desert where temps were at 115 degrees when we finished. 38 to 115 in the same day was quite a shock to the system. Lol @@MattLaidlaw
I love a man who isn't afraid to say I love you to another man. You do love your guys Matt, and they feel the same way about you. If I was looking for a job, Laidlaw's HD would be the place I'd go!
Best stuff on TV any night of the week, watching the Laidlaw Riders crush miles across the land! Everyone of these you just take up another notch. Stefan was stealing the show, love that guys delivery! 🤣😂 Great selfless gesture for your boy to throw some money to that stranded girl, to help. Man I love those give-back opportunities. Sends a great message to all. Matt, exceptional content. Can’t wait to dive into the next episode tomorrow!
Thanks man. Thank you for watching. Yea, Stefan I think is stealing the show. Haha. We all are pretty blessed so it’s always good to try to help others around us. I think we all could do even better sometimes. Andrew is a stand up guy.
Matt, it always amazes me how you always find the perfect soundtrack to go along with your videos. Not only is your footage fantastic, but you accompany the perfect score to every single scene that warrants music, you belong in Hollywood 👍🏻
This Channel is a MUST for every single motorcycle rider in the world!!! How inspiring and full of great vibes! It’s like another world! Thanks so much Matt!
Matt, you do these videos so dang well! I've ridden most of these roads (paved!) and really enjoy riding them again watching you and the boys. WELL DONE! Be safe.
Your videos are top notch Matt! Loved having Stefan in this one what a great dude. Also wow Andrew not only looking good man but what a good dude trying to help the girl out. Beautiful ride reminds me of the last ride with my old man…wished it would never end.
Thanks for the comment 👍🏼 Yea Stefan is just a good people person. Funny, smart, always positive, helpful. Etc. I don’t want to say too much because I want to keep him humble too. He might read these comments. Yea, Andrew is seriously disciplined right now. 💪🏼💪🏼
The best videographer and story teller on RUclips, the narration, scenic shots, music, everything is quality, keep up the good work. PS. Andrew looks lean and mean, lost weight, working out, he should be the Harley Davidson fitness guru :):) Great work, what a great crew! All the Best
I-70 from Grand Junction to Golden CO is some of the most epic interstate in the USA !! The Laidlaw's crew needs to make a journey to East Tennessee, NC area!! It will BLOW your mind!!! Truly a riders paradise. Great job so far @mattlaidlaw, loving the journey!
Great first Episode, I rode to Sturgis in 1996 from St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, I will be 70 this year, but hope to do it again. But for now I will live it with your Chronicles. Thanks so much for sharing, Fantastic editing ..
Needs to be a show. You could do different parts of the country to historical events and rallies. Screw sturgis I just want to do that ride! I need the soundtrack to this video by the way lol.
I used to be in the Army as an infantryman, who dressed in a Russian uniform and carried an AK-47, at a base via two-lane road 42 miles away from Barstow called Fort Irwin. My bike was my main form of Transport back then and I loved riding in that desert heat. Sorry that it's not such a great ride for y'all, takes a little getting used to. This was such a great video because now I live in tree-covered Georgia, and I miss riding in that Desert Sun. So from a weird angle thank you for this video! And when I do get that ride out in that beautiful Southwest, I'm damn sure riding my sweaty ass into Laidlaw HD❤
Oh Wow Salsa - jerky... Nv splitting lanes is a hefty fines. 128° Phoenix- avoid heat stroke. Been there 7 times and each time I when a different way in getting there... Glad you all had a nice enjoyable time there
Well that is #1 for the history 📚 books 📖 and lots of notes on what to do again and not do like riding in 100° + weather aka heat stroke .. it happened to me and how I made it to Palm Springs HD is beyond me... Those folks saved my life when I rolled in, in 120°+ weather..
Rode the 50th Anniversary. Custom Low Rider. went by myself. ran into some riding buddies in Deadwood. Met some Fantastic people on the way. 5300+ miles in 18 days through the West. Arizona base. 10+ days in rain, snow and tornados. interesting trip. Well done video showing the ride. that is what counts.
My first Sturgis, the 38th. in 1978, there were only 25 thousand in attendance. Same in 80-83. The next time I went in 1997there were almost a half a million people there. I haven’t been there since 1998. Booked the Chip in 22, but a medical issue came up, couldn’t go, and lost all of my unrefundable full price reservation for 4 days. Glad I didn’t go this year because of the slop. Thanks for the show.
Glad to see you guys had a good time other than being hotter than hades. Unfortunately the rally was not this sway. Someone said it was the coldest and wettest rally in like 20 years. I’d believe it The Virgin River Gorge might be the most underrated strath of the entire interstate system.
Matt I was really surprised at your filmmaking and story telling abilities. You were able to capture and describe a lot of feelings that are hard to touch on as a motorcycle enthusiast and someone who rides. Your able to bring something to video that most can’t with your story telling.
Matt BIG thanks to you and your team for getting me into the shop to get my forks repaired while out in L.A. It was great meeting you and Nick and I wish I would have had my GoPro but it had overheated. Anyway I got back to Oklahoma safely thanks to you guys.

Great clip by the way, hats of to you, your friends and your team for providing us such beautiful and rich content everytime! Keep up the great work sir and greetings from Romania!
70 runs all the way to my neck of the woods in Maryland. I used to ride back and forth between Baltimore and Pittsburgh a bunch on 70 and it was super scenic even over here. The majority of that stretch went through the rolling hills in Appalachia. Fantastic in the summer, and absolutely gorgeous in the fall when the leaves changed.
This was a brilliant documentary thank you. I have traveled back and forth from Vegas to Connecticut several times and it’s a life changing experience I love it. Now my wife and I will do it. The northern route is best you get Colorado and that makes the whole trip. I think Iowa during a storm is amazing to all that big sky country.
Good looking crew there Matt, good on you fellas for riding in that heat, wow. I know that once you are in it you keep on trucking till you're done, lots of water in and on. Helmets in the ice box, F'in genius! Great episode! Thank you.
Another incredible video guys. On the oil blowing out of the air cleaner. Go with an external breather/catch can set up. Cleaner air for your intake and NO MORE MESS. Thanks again for the great footage. Ride safe everyone!!!
For the first time ever, I took part on a road trip from Canada to Sturgis. I started watching some of your videos in part to get me hyped up for such a journey. We visited other states afterwards, but wow I got to experience the I-70 west. From Denver to Grand Junction. It was amazing, easily the highlight of my trip. It was absolutely gorgeous. On a '23 FatBob /FXFBS no less, 4800 mile round trip on its first go.

Most excellent footage, Matt and crew. I pretty much did the same trip in the middle of July, but headed north out of Rifle, Meeker then past Steamboat Springs, ending up in Laramie, WY, for the night. Lots, and lots, and lots of good two lane road stuff. You definitely got to see some of the best stuff in Colorado. Your editing, choice of music and footage, brings back so many memories for me.
What a great series just watched all 6 episodes!! Have to say I was really hooked in this type of video! Overall an amazing documentary on your trip!! Great work!!
