I bought a 23 PAS and it never gave me any problems, when they brought out the CVO model I worked out with all the extras you’d have to buy on a Special you’d actually be saving money so I bought one. Absolutely love it , definitely be keeping it long term!
Ive heard that with the price saving 👍.. mine had a lot of extras on when bought apart from aux lights which I now know I need 😄.. enjoy the new bike 👍 .. Im waiting for the unlucky owners comments next 🫣😅
Fellow '21 Pan Am owner here in the UK. My bike has had most of the niggles and the HD dealership customer service has been poor, BUT I love this bike! I've covered 8K miles through 10 countries, gnarly trails, with all day comfort and fast as flip.
Hi mate. To be fair, i bet some of my niggles were sorted prior to me owning bike. But glad yours is doing its job 👍. Seems all the early flak is dying down now so hopefully all should be trouble free soon 😅👌👌
Been running my 21 Pan Am for 8 months now and loving every mile. Got it to compliment my 22 FXLRS to save her getting wrecked in some of the shittier UK conditions. Pan Am is definitely built for our crap roads and weather!
Similar to me not wrecking the 48 👍.. can abuse the pan a bit more, plus loads up the camping stuff better 😁. Nice to see another happy 21 owner 👍. Cheers
Cheers 👍. Was a great local ride that day.. That particular Carplay unit wad the Linkifun Mt2. Great unit and probably my favourite I have tested so far. I will be testing another soon. But there is a dedicated vlog on this one on my channel with a discount link in the comments.. I may even put this one back on my bike. Currently using a Navicam. But this is better 👍
From San Jose California. First time I viewed your video on the pan am. I really thought it good and Fair. Saving money up to get one for myself. I'm also a new subscriber. I really like the scene shots of the country. Would love to visit... Cheers!!
Cheers 👍. Hope you manage to get one soon. Juat a great bike for every task.. just make sure you know its hiatory if you buy used. Big diifference in our little country roads in U.K. But then.. flipside I bet theres some great roads over there.. Cheers for the Sub 👍
Cheers 👌. Dont get caught up with the forum negatives on the pan am.. if you do decide. Check its history and go with your instinct 👌. Its not bad in u.k for riding. I enjoy watching orhers overseas for the comparison 😁👍
In Washington State, good review. Im on my 3rd PA, only the first one had problems. Great bikes, like a Swiss Army Knife, does a lot of things well. What windshield do you have?
Cheers 👍.. Ironically, I think a lot of the 21 problems were Stateside, plus we dont get the fuel pump issues here.. Anyhow. Definately great bikes. Bits I would improve but mine has been great all over U.K so no complaints.. The windshield is a Puig touring. Best thing I did, takes that wind off on motorway/ freeway speeds 👍
Rented one for a week in the Smokey Mountains, Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Hwy 28, The Snake. This is an absolutely amazing motorcycle! Worked fantastic on the tight windy roads, the interstate, gravel roads. Looking into buying one as of the present.
Great vid mate that Sandy Lane rings a bell. You need to come up my way again and do them little trails I do. Glad to see you feeling a bit better 👍🏻👍🏻
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE thanks mate 👍. Bit of a network of lanes i never knew 👍. Few more over mellor side. Forgot to cut a 30sec stale clip out end of the vid. 😅.. im slacking. Catch up soon... i will get back over your side of hill when i can 👍
Thanks for the review mate. Glad to hear you’ve had no issues with the bike. I think it’s a great looking bike and would definitely consider buying one having heard the good things. Cheers
Thanks for the watch 👍.. Like I said, no matter what make or model there are always problems. So as long as you know they can be fixed.. the rest is up to you 😁. Cheers 👊
100% Agree. I have a '22 and love it. A couple issues but when parts are built by the lowest bidder that will happen. Also happened on my Honda. Ride safe my friend.
Yep, parts from all over the globe 😁. As a plant engineer I repair things everyday that should not break so for me, its part of owning anything. Good to know your 22 is stable 👍. Cheers 👊
My 22 model front cylinder had a massive problem. After 2 months they decided to put a new 24 spec engine in for me. 3 months now. Still waiting. Would i change bike? Hell no. Its a proper decent all rounder. Love it!
Did I read about this one on the fbook group 🤔.. fair play for seeing the potential through the mishap 👍.. when things are right, its a perfect all rounder. Hope you get back on yours soon 👍
@ALCHEMOTO yeah that was me, kicked up a fuss and it seemed to work. They said engine would take 3-4 weeks and that 4 weeks is up on Wednesday. Fingers crossed 🤞
I’ve got about 3000 miles on my Pan Am but recently I went on a road trip in Alaska and rented a GS and rode it for about 700 miles. Honestly, the bikes are pretty interchangeable. I came away from the ride thinking that I wouldn’t trade my Harley for that GS.
Interesting 🤔👍... Ive not ridden a G.S so cant compare, although know a few who own them.. who doesnt 😃... I think with the Pan. You learn to love it. Was prepping mine for upcoming roadtrip, and thinking.. I cant think of a better bike..Cheers. hope you and your Pan continue to enjoy trouble free miles 👌
@@ALCHEMOTO I wanted to ride a GS strictly so that I could compare the two bikes. Personally, i think the GS is a little more comfortable - especially on my butt - that could be an easy fix with a new seat on the Harley. Where the Harley shined though was in power - the GS just didnt have the same "punch" that the Harley does. My Pan Am is a '23 so I've had no issues with it.
@hunterfitch5951 G.S does look comfy . I dont have issues with standard pan seat but could be a better design. Like you say, there is others on the market anyway. Only think I will do is pop some risers on when get chance. Only thing a g.s beats pan down with is lighting. Unless you have aux lights fitted.. Would be a good side by side vlog for a comparison. 🤔👍😁
Isn’t it funny that all the news on these bikes is negative, when they have so much going for them. Guess it’s just the world we live in now, and our expectations. Hope you have years of riding with no problems mate 😎🤙🏻 Ride On
You cant please everyone mate 😉..but as a whole, theres bikes out there with a lot of mileage now with only wear parts replaced. What folk also dont get is these bikes are ridden hard, so somethings gonna break 😄.. good to hear from you anyhow mate 👊
Glad to hear yours has been pretty flawless mate & I'm definitely going to try out 1 this year! 👍😎 Now next time you just go for it along those lanes, you could easily have missed those tiny little signs!!! 😉🤣👍
It's honestly pretty sad, especially considering the price of bikes like this, that this kind of mileage isn't a bare minimum expectation of problem free riding.
I agree.. problem is most only ride a few miles at weekend so real world faults only show up when a bike is used to full potential.. and they should last well beyond that. Pan am 1st release had too many faults but same as ktm. bmw etc .. overall they get the job done but nobody should be worried about being stranded on tour 🤷♂️👍👍👍
Great video as always.... here is my review... ohhh gravel road....BRB 😛I've not been without issues but did have nearly 11,000km 99.9% trouble free. Have had more issues after that but as you say, so does every other brand. Do I regret it, feck no..... I love the Pan America and getting good dealer support and a factory warranty, thats key to 100% peace of mind in ownership.
Will do matt.. I was going to do that this week but not decided what chain/sprockets Im fitting yet. So just oil change and service for now, but not doing vid on that.. plenty out there 👍. But prob do it before hebrides trip 👍. Cheers
