  • The Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Adventure bike, what can I say. Well it's not a push rod, air cooled, oil leaking cruiser. That alone gets a golfers clap. Bit for real it's no joke, a for real adventure motorcycle. It's got all the specs and features you'd expect from something like a BMW R 1250 GS or a Triumph Tiger 1200. If you could ride it with your eyes closed (I wouldn't try that) you'd never know it was a Harley. Anyways I got chance to ride the Pan America on a real off ride. They even let us turn off all the riders aids and let it rip! Let's see how it went,

    Sweet test ride Jake. I sure wish my Pam America would have made it more than 5000 miles before blowing the engine. It was an excellent bike for a short time. Then after they replaced the motor, the suspension kept having electrical problems. Short of all the issues, the bike is fantastic. Thanks for bringing us along love your videos.

    • @TheGardenSnake
      @TheGardenSnake  Год назад +2

      Hope they get those issues figured out. That’s a lotta new tech.

      Omg that’s horrible .. even my race bike made it to 10.000miles , and still going strong. I don’t think Harley should’ve even tried to make an adventure bike if they know the main competitor (BMW GS1250) is invincible. I met someone who rode his from London to Hong Kong, he had over 100.000 miles without rebuild, insane. I hope Harley can sort it out for you, because that’s unacceptable in my eyes.

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide Год назад +2

      @@mooiboyace It was rough. Luckily I was in a position to replace the bike with a BMW GSA and sold the* motorcycle back to the dealer.

      @@TheGardenSnake Oh Yeah, I don't know about new tech, but if you look closer at the bike, you will see the wiring nightmare the cycle really is. The Pan America definitely isn't wired like a Japanese bike or any of the high-quality manufacturers, that's for sure. I really don't know if they ever got the bike dialed in. But my buddy was having similar electrical issues at the same time I did. However, his engine didn't fail. I feel like the Harley Dealer did everything they could for me. They even offered to replace it with a cruiser. The bike is beautiful and really fun to ride in the upper RPM range. But definitely not something to travel on. The funniest issue with Pan America was that the clock would never keep time. Every time you started the bike, it was a different time. Not that it's a deal breaker or anything, haha, haha. But at the end of the day, I kept the channel name and bought a 2022 BMW GSA. I don't know if I could ever return from the BMW after putting 15,000 miles on one this summer. It would be pretty cool if you got the opportunity to test-ride several different ADV bikes. Thanks for all the great content over the years and for hearing me vent about my experience with the Pan America Special, aka the "Adventure Glide." LOL
