The leftover pulp can be used as coconut flour! I dry mine at a the lowest setting in the oven, but I guess a dehydrator would be better

@@nicoleroth1232 we put hot water to the shredded coconut meat then squeeze it with our hand then strain it. it makes coconut cream (the thicker one)then repeat procedure for the same coconut meat to make a less thick liquid called coconut milk. that's it. coconuts here are freshly picked from the trees so it's easy to make coconut cream and milk from scratch but in other countries it's not that accessible so it's mostly from package when you buy it.

Hi autumn I would recommend to use room temperature water. Coconut when boiled converts into cholesterol. It's a proven study. So we should never try to boil coconut milk. Also the residual coconut can be used to make ladoos. Mix it with jaggery, dates, dry fruits, cardamom and make round balls. It can be used as energy bar.

The fat in Coconut creams, milk and oils is in itself, high in saturated fat in its original state which is bad for those with high blood pressure/high cholesterol levels. Other options that are low in saturated fat are lite coconut milk and possibly coconut yogurt, depending on what type and what it’s made with ……….

Making Almond milk is so easy. You make it sound like the end of the world. Most steps are the same. Yes, you have to have almonds in your pantry (same goes for Coconut). Almonds have to be soaked for 24 hours (No boiling water needed) and keep it in the fridge. Blending and straining is the same for both. the only additional step with almond milk is the rinsing after soaking. Not sure Coconut milk is worth 100 times more calories and fat. It might work just fine for some people. I will try some in my Chia pudding though. Thanks!

I just want to give a few thoughts to everyone. We care about living clean physically, I wanna preach to everyone reading, living clean spiritually is just as important if not more so. God made available to us this magnificent universe so we can live peacefully and be able to worship him. Worship doesn't mean constantly praying and being a monk. it means making the intention of living life to the fullest with God in our hearts. knowing that one day we will meet him, and he will ask us how we spent the life and blessings he gave us. He sent us the last revelation the Quran, I suggest everyone read it.

      4.5g p
      15g c
      40g f

Should coconut butter formed on top of cooled milk, be left in and shaken to re-incorporate back in milk?
Or is it ok to always remove and use as coconut butter? Point being, is quality of milk jeopardized if I alway remove coconut butter?😊

I have a question on this, I have followed the recipe with success. What do you do with all the Coconut Cream (the solid that forms on top). What can you do with it? So you are just using the Coconut Milk (water) to add to your smoothies?

I mix it in with an immersion blender.

@@kimjohnson7469 I was gonna say the same. Use a wide mouth jar large enough for your immersion blender and you can blend it back in

What is fat % please? I want to foam this up... will it work? Thanks for sharing, I will make this milk as soon as I get my hands on coconut shreds. Also: can I use fresh coconut to make this?

I followed this exactly, but after a few hours in the fridge the upper half turn into coconut butter and the lower half was very watery coconut milk. An ideas what went wrong? Should I mix it up while it's cooling?
