The Finns remember when Coca-Cola arrived in Finland - it was for the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki for the American athletes.
All Anglophone countries are to some extent under the soft power of the USA and most of Europe and Japan too.
Its culture and products are ubiquitous.
Fun fact: Coca Cola sponsored the olympic games in 1928/Amsterdam. In 1933 Coca Cola became the nazis' favorite drink. In 1936 Coca Cola also became a sponsor of the olympic games in berlin.

Great reaction. The song was written shortly after the horrific events of 9/11. The band was touring the US during that time. They experienced the mood of belligerence among the population to take revenge and found it very strange that it did not seem to matter who would be revenged on. The USA was a place of opportunity for many Europeans. That changed ever since.
Imo it's ok to bring your culture to other countries, as long as it is not forced on.

@@spring_in_paris you can see asians eating hamburgers in the music video wich already paints a message,one of the lyrics is literly Und vor Paris steht Micky Maus. wich means infront of paris stands mickey mouse clearly this is a criticism how an age old city known for its culture is now known for having this giant american park in it sort of pushing away its culture in trade for american slopp,at one point he literly says,this is not a love song further implying they dont like america

"not so much food products" dude, there is nearly no country without mcdonalds'. cost of a big mac menu and average salary in anywhere around the world is actually a way to measure purchasing power per person in a country that real economists refer to. but you might be right about some local cuisine in different regions around u.s. probably most of them are not known really well and deserve more credit than burgers or nuggets.
In Russia a Big Mac, chips and drink is 3 dollars whereas America is 10-15$? I think
