There is only very few inserted stock images. Almost everything is shot in Berlin with casting the right people. As mollyfitch8036 mentioned there is a good "Making Of" out there which explains a lot of these effects ...

Dont listen to them, they are lying. All of the middle/northern european countries can translate each others stuff a little bit at least by default. Especially if youre able to speak english as well. Since most germanic languages today are in huge parts just a mish mash of german, english and a little bit of others like french.
