Not sure if someone posted it before: The link to the BOUNDARY SUPPLY PRIMA SYSTEM leads to another Peak Design backpack. Could you please change the link? Thanks for your work!
Nice review, but most of the backpacks are well over $200. The "Cheap" backpack for college students is 179! In what world are these normal price points for an EDC backpack?
Thanks for the comment Ian! As the title suggests, these are the 'Best' EDC backpacks in the world, which means premium design and materials - all of which comes at a cost. We are def looking into reviewing some more budget-friendly backpacks in the future :)
Great reviews.. on a side note I find it hard to find reviews for packs that are very durable, good for sport/gym/hike/city/bike/train/grocery shopping etc.. a lot of packs seem tailored mostly to the office worker. It's difficult to find a durable bag that ticks all these boxes. The wanrdrd seems v good however little bit too small for my needs.
Aaron I know you're incredibly busy right now with the backpack, but I wondered if I could get a recommendation from you. I'm going on a long haul flight in November - Australia to the UK. I'm looking for a backpack that will fit under the seat, has lots of pockets and organisation inside, has zippers (not magnets) so I can lock it, and looks stylish, and is reasonably budget friendly. I know that's quite specific, but if anything comes to mind I'd really appreciate your knowledgeable opinion.
would you entrust the peak design every day backpack with the mag lash into an airplane luggage compartment? I have the impression the maglash is not closing the bag fully, things can drop out of the bag.
@@Nomads.Nation after watching so many videos, I finally went with the Wandrd Prvke 21. Quite expensive I have to say. But with all the storage compartments the Wandrd is exactly what I needed as a photo backpack for city trips.

Great video, true review, none of that compilation of promotional videos from the manufacturer. Good insight on highlighting the key pros and cons as those features are what make them unique. BTW, were you in Vietnam? Saw some footage of VN. Did you do any video of your being there?
Thanks for the kind words! And yes, we filmed the first 20 or so videos in Ho Chi Minh. Unfortunately I don’t have any videos from living there, but it’s one of my favourite countries in the world :)
Welcome aboard and thanks so much for the awesome comment! Able Carry is a brand I've only recently started testing and I freaking LOVE them. Their Daypack is tremendous - we've done a review on all Able Carry Pack, be sure to check them out!
@@Nomads.Nation That's true tho, been surprised and satisfied with the bag so far, sadly it get dusty pretty easily (since i haven't use it for awhile now) haha
Amazing vid as always! I'm kind of torn between the Dayfarer and the Wandrd Duo. Which one would you say is larger volume wise? The Duo sounds larger on paper with the Dayfarer only being usable in 18-20l mode, but all of that internal padding looks as if it could fit potentially less stuff in comparison to the large bucket that is the Dayfarer. My Daily carry can be rather large on some days and I prefer a bag in the 20-24 liter range and those two pretty much fit the bill feature wise... so I guess it just comes down to capacity. 😊
Can you put more light on the packs it is impossible to see any details. All you see is a black hole. You need to account for the compression RUclips put on the videos, it just blends all the different shades of black into one. Your white background makes it difficult to expose for the very dark black bags with out completely blowing out the highlights.
Hey that's a really good hint. I'm working on getting better lights, but shipping is being slow. You're right about the compression, it looked completely perfect in the editing suite, now that I look at it. I'll check with my Landlord to see if I can paint the walls, fingers crossed.
@@Nomads.Nation try removing the lights you have in the background so the white wall is not lite up. Use those lights to give more exposure on the bag. If you are using auto exposure I would switch to manual and check your histogram for exposure and not the light meter. Good luck with the channel, I just found it. I'm obsessed with bags also.
If you’re a college student you can always repurpose photography kit for lunch kit. That way you have the best of both worlds as the organisation for tech is always better on photography bags, and the back support is nice. College kids carry around loads of kit and if you’re like me, you also want lunch space.
@@Nomads.Nation There is no major problem with this product, but in terms of customer support, both response speed and service quality are poor. And I don’t think it’s just because the company is small. Unhappy experience, let it go.
Great video! just discovered you and I'm binge watching your videos now xD a little thing to note is that Nomatic is not allowed to sell in Europe due to copyright problems. So for us Europeans it can get a little expensive and hard to get this brand here.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, Nomatic's trademark issues are super annoying for anyone living in Europe. They are going to launch a new European-brand soon, so hopefully that will fix everything!
Hi guys! I watched almost all of your videos, and still don't know which one is good for me...help!!! I thought of Boundary Supply Errant as I am so tech/featured oriented(your description of the comfortable level made me hesitated about this bag) . I also like the design of Able Carry 13 but they don't have the color I like at the moment, needless to say it might be too small for me. I even thought of getting the Tote/backpack from Bellroy cause I think the blueish color and the slim design, not sure about how much the back really support heavy stuff though. I have no clue now. You mentioned Nomatic(too business look to me, too serious, too manly and too boring), AER looks good although it can be a bit slimmer but I don't want a black bag...Peak design, hem, I don't like the both side open design, although I am a photographer- I think I will worry about my gears come out too easily and the two side opening makes no sense to me. Boundary design Prima...could be an option, but it looks quite heavy evening when it's empty(and you mentioned it's the boundary common problem of not very comfortable for the straps). And it doesn't have blue, like the errant bag. Bellroy classic is too simple, not much of a tech bag- I have tons like this at home. Just FYI, I am a photographer, I already have Wandrd Prvke 21 and a Shimoda 30 action at home- I am happy with them. I am looking for a day bag, good design like able carry, cool material like Boundary supply, nice color like the Bellroy blasic...water resistant and not too heavy... Any idea? Your tips and advice is much appreciated !
Thanks for the support Cloudia! Here’s a few others you might want to check out. Boundary Supply Rennan. Bellroy Transit Pack. Day Owl Backpack. We’ve done review on all of them. Let us know how it goes!
@@Nomads.Nation Hey, thanks for your advices! I prefer the materials of boundary supply/able carry, so definitely not the Day Owl. Love your reviews of backpacks with your energy and insight. Also, super cool you film some of your videos with HK background. Brings up all sorts of good feelings for me as I was born there. I was wondering if you had to choose one backpack to take with you to Disney World where you'd have to walk around all day carrying which one would be the most comfortable in your opinion? It could be one of the ones you listed here or maybe not even on this list.
Just tired of every bag being focused or made for photographers. I mean can people just make a great bag for urban travelers sheesh. Way too much focus on photography.
I'm the opposite, I carry around my Olympus m10 mkii n 2 lens, but I don't want a huge camera bag that'll have wasted "camera save" but a nice gadget, urban backpack I can put these in plus my Nintendo switch, Samsung tab s6 lite etc
Thanks for the comment! Our roundups videos only include the packs we've reviewed, and unfortunately I haven't reviewed any ebags yet (although they are very high on my wish list). Make sure to sub so you know when we do an ebag review!
i am finding a backpack for everyday working, luckily find out your video and see your some footages in Ho Chi Minh city. So can you guid me where can i find these backpakc you mentioned? Thank you.
Why do so many manufactures overlook waterproof zippers, housing for the zipper, seams to sit over the zipper, and not putting in 2 zippers which leave a gaping hole in an otherwise waterproof design
Just recently found your channel and must admit I have binge-watched your backpack reviews. I currently live in the UK and budget airlines have very strict personal item allowance (40x20x25cm on Ryanair for example). I usually go on short trips , usually upto 5 days (2 weeks the longest) and can fit everything in a 25L backpack. However, my tnf backpack had been with me for almost a decade, and I feel like I need an upgrade haha. most of the backpacks on your channel are not readily available in the UK which limits my options :( I bought the Gomatic (which is the eu equivalent of nomatic) travel pack after watching your reviews, and hopefully will suit my need, despite the ugly ass stowaway strap solution they have. aside from week's worth of clothes, I dont really travel with a lot of tech gears - normally just bring my kindle, and my instant camera and very rarely bring laptop and accessories if it's a long haul flight :P I chose it because of the organisation features, as well as its dimensions which could easily fit under the seats of most budget airlines. I was also keen on the Errant but it is out of stock and I'm also out of patience. hahaha
Out of stock and out of patience - love that haha. Thanks for the epic comment mate and be sure to let us know what you think of the Nomatic once you get it!!
@@Nomads.Nation I had been using the nomatic travel pack everyday since i got it! It's perfect for me - love the organisation features! It says 1-3days on their website but I've used it for a 7-day trip and managed to fit everything in it. One feature that works really well is that you can expand the bag to 30L whilst packing all your stuff in, and then "compress" it afterwards (zip it back up to 20l) - - kinda works like a compression packing cube 😂 i was really impressed. Having said that, I didnt need to use any packing cubes on my week-long trip as the internal organisation helped to keep every bits and bobs well organised! The back panel is comfy, however, it could get hot after some time (although that might just be because it was 30C when i was walking for an hour all over the city lol)
I dont understand how youtubers never mention umbrella space, like where am i supposed to put my umbrella, isn't it something people always bring along with when it rains? Of course i want my backpack to have a designated space for that
I think the fact that most RUclipsrs don’t show this is because it’s not something most people carry with them. I certainly did when I lived in Hong Kong, but I’ve been in Vietnam the last 5 months and have no need for one. Same when I go to the US for the next 3 months. Just depends on your lifestyle.

Not sure if someone posted it before: The link to the BOUNDARY SUPPLY PRIMA SYSTEM leads to another Peak Design backpack. Could you please change the link? Thanks for your work!
Fixed! Thanks so much for pointing that out!!
How does Nordace Sierra and mark ryden pro (3) compares to these backpacks?
Never tested either, but I've added them to our wish list - keep an eye out for the reviews :)
@@Nomads.Nation can’t wait to watch it!
The wanrdrd seems v good however little bit too small for my needs.
a lot of these bags we review are more targeted for laptop/office/urban travel. Check out bags from Osprey, they should be more up your alley

Glad to help, what sort of budget are you talking about?
I really, really appreciate it. I'm probably looking at around $100US or if there is a better option I could probably stretch to $150@@Nomads.Nation

Thanks Pavon! I prefer the aer but Nomatic's ability to double as an EDC is tough to beat....
May be a dumb question but Why wouldn’t the aer travel pack 2 small be considered an EDC?

Amazing vid as always! I'm kind of torn between the Dayfarer and the Wandrd Duo. Which one would you say is larger volume wise? The Duo sounds larger on paper with the Dayfarer only being usable in 18-20l mode, but all of that internal padding looks as if it could fit potentially less stuff in comparison to the large bucket that is the Dayfarer. My Daily carry can be rather large on some days and I prefer a bag in the 20-24 liter range and those two pretty much fit the bill feature wise... so I guess it just comes down to capacity. 😊
Thank you! I'd say the modern dayfarer might be the better pick for you :)
Could you look forward to review the aevor daypack soon ?
Great suggestion! I've added it to our wish list :)
Really great reviews, informative and fun!
thank you so much for the kind words and comment!!!
@@s2kologist much appreciated man!
If you’re a college student you can always repurpose photography kit for lunch kit. That way you have the best of both worlds as the organisation for tech is always better on photography bags, and the back support is nice.
