- In this video, I recommend the what I think is the BEST immersion content for Korean Learners. Not only is the content on their channel relatively easy, it's fully subtitled, extremely natural, and what's more, there's a TON of it! Join me for a dive into the world of 피식대학 - Psick University and learn more about how to learn more Korean.
I'm making this content so that Korean learners from all over the internet, members of communities like Refold, using services like Migaku, or studying with materials made by Talk To Me In Korean or Go! Billy Korean, can supplement their motivation and think more deeply about the work they're doing. Korean Patch is dedicated to helping people who are learning Korean become more authentic speakers of the language. We're glad you're here!

Meenoi's Yorizori is really funny and has Korean CCs. That's what I'm watching these days. I recommend it too.
I'll check it out!
Language immersion!! This is the content I've been waiting for! Im not much of a kdrama lover so this show sounds great for me. And i agree with you about mainstream korean comedians, not my taste either
I'm glad you've found something worth trying! Let me know how it works out for you 😊
My introduction to these guys was the hilarious Ahjussi cover of Justin Bieber's 'Peaches'... little did I know there was a mountain of material to be found there! Thanks as always for the great insight.
Oh yeah, that was another big one hahaha
Your recommendations are always gamechanger!! I'm so thankful for this, as someone who learns korean at university amd desperately lacks listening to just simple natural everyday korean.
I'm glad to hear that! Come back and let me know how it's working out for you! 😊
Great tip! I personally wouldn't enjoy this type of content in my native language or any language i'm fluent in but I watch 유민지호신마마(with subs). It's basically people sharing their spooky/horror/ghost type of stories. I don't believe in that but because it's someone telling a story, the sentences are pretty good for learner's immersion.
Great recommendation.
Thank you for still doing these man. I appreciate it alot.
Thank you for still stopping by, man. I appreciate YOU a lot!
Can't thank you enough for recommending this kind of content. I've been studying the language for years and I kind of dislike most of korean pop culture, so this comes in handy for me!
Thanks for the recommend! I’ll defo check it out! 🎉
Good stuff. Thanks for the recommendation!
thank you! You're channel is awesome❤ I'm going to check out their content
감사합니다!! Come back and share your findings! ^^
wow amazing video!! :0 What an insane recommendation I can't believe I haven't seen them before!!!!(except for that peaches video that went viral once haha) Totally agree that mainstream comedy is....ugh and this channel sounds exactly up my alley. Ive never been sold on something so much lol So excited to binge for hours :)))
Let me know how it goes! I'm glad you've found something that interests you~
@@KoreanPatch I've already binged 10 videos of 한사랑산악회 in a row xD. it's incredible
This is so helpful, thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by. Let me know how it works out for you!
Thanks for the lead, will definitely check this out!
Godspeed, soldier. Lemme know how it works out for you!
Damn bro when you said subscribe to this channel the subscribe button started to glow in rainbow colors
I'm in your computer keeping things colorful homie 🌈
Thanks for this!! I desperately need immersive content, but my vocab is too poor for most things. Happily humor is mostly u iversal, so this should help a lot. 😃
You'll definitely pick up lots of vocab with their content!
What are the names of the three shows? Are they separated out into separate playlist? Thanks!
너덜트 is pretty funny
Yeah, totally. There are other awesome channels like 숏박스 and 빵송국 that are doing similar work too!
I thought I was the only one who thought that Korean comedy (especially the type seen on TV) was cringy and childish! I think it might be because in the west, our comedy tends to be more...dark? I feel like western comedy tends to be more sarcastic and satirical compared to Korean comedy, which seems to be more slapstick oriented.
I think that's the real difference - this is pretty good satire, which makes it feel more palatable to people who are used to that type of comedy.
I'd have to disagree. I loved Gag Concert! Now... I haven't watched it in a while, so the "new class" may not be as funny as the older/original members and some of the skits worked and others didn't, but overall I found it hilarious!
Fair enough! It's just definitely not my thing. SNL has gotten a bit better since moving to 쿠팡 but I think they're still figuring out how to do satire via major media company.
Do you have any recommendations for female comedians?
There are multiple women that are mainstays of the 피식대학 channel and multiverse, but they're a bit bigger celebrities in terms of doing mainstream stuff. 김은지, for example, is on TV quite often and her RUclips channel is more blogg-y stuff and less comedy. That being said, one of the women who plays a new character in 05학번 이즈히어 has created an in-character Instagram (at)seojunmam22 and a RUclips channel called 안녕하세미 @user-ic6qm8xj4c (RUclips has handles now, in case you didn't know.) Additionally, one of the 3 founders of 숏박스 is a woman, and is in almost all of the skits.
@@KoreanPatch thanks!
I agree with the main stream comedians in Korea being cringy, boring, or honestly shitty. As my language skills increased, I realized that more and more of the jokes were making fun of someone specifically (for the reasons you listed), which made those programs impossible to watch. It's not funny if you're punching down or sideways, that's like comedy 101.
Yeah, it's a great setup!
