  • We meet again for a new Korean story for beginners(+) (targeted towards advanced beginners) ! Today, we change things up a bit. I received a couple of requests linked to Akapinn's videos and I try to listen to you guys as much as I can.
So we will try a new structure for the learning today :
First, you'll listen to the story with just a few hints (through the images you see on the screen). No Korean subtitles, so just try your best to listen and understand what you can with the pictures!
Second, you'll get the Korean subtitles and some vocabulary words. With these, you should be able to understand most of the story (probably everything if you already know the grammar well!)
And in the third part, we will finally see the Korean story, with English subtitles. So finally you can review the story one last time and review your understanding.
Sooo, let's talk a bit about the topic, shall we?
Today, Lina goes to school and will meet a new friend ! They will talk about their country, why they came to Korea, and such. Just a simple conversation, with one or two more complex sentences.
As always, don't hesitate to take your time and pause as many times as you need.
    Happy studying!

    Hello !
Writing this comment for all the people learning Korean through our little stories.
I am aware that sometimes, the grammar used in our stories is complex for baby beginners. Please don't feel frightened by it : it's okay if you don't master the grammar points from the get go. It's also okay not to understand all the sentences right away. It's part of the learning process.
What we are trying to teach you through these videos is to expose you to simple ways to say things while keeping a natural tone in Korean. It’s real Korean, not textbook Korean. So, sometimes, the sentences can seem difficult. But by getting exposed to it, you will get used to the patterns and improve.
And while the grammar used in these stories can be difficult, the vocabulary used, as well as the topics, will remain very simple.
As always, don't hesitate to give feedback and share your experience. ♥

I loved the first part of the video, It would be nice to have a full length video in this format, no subtitles, no grammar explanations, just input ❤

Hey~ thank you for your comment! I get that but a lot of people need help with vocabulary/grammar and to check their understanding ☺️ hence why the other parts focus on that. But the videos will be following their story so maybe at some point I can put them all together to make a longer video 🤍

Hi!~ learning a language is really hard! Finding a proper way to study it is the first step. It needs to suit your learning style, and also be entertaining enough for you to stay motivated. What’s your learning style ?
And even though you can’t understand everything in the videos, it’s perfectly okay! If you keep listening, repeat the videos and try to understand more each time, you will definitely improve. It’s a matter of patience and a LOT of practice. Korean is made of a lot of nuances so it’s perfectly normal to find it difficult at times. Focus on vocabulary, and get used to sentences pattern.
So far, which way have you been studying Korean ?
