I want to say..."far out, man!" LOL This is awesome! 😲 Who knew!? The possibilities are endless! Perfect to learn during long, cold Winter. Thank you for sharing. 💐
I ordered and received this shaker mold the other day. Thank you, Sidney, for the personal note with picture. I loved that. Also, you are goooorgeous! God bless!
Can you tell me the isomalt measurement, melting temperature, and temperature when pouring into the mold? It's so beautiful. I want to make it with my child.
Hi! With the pre-cooked isomalt I do not go by temperature, only by texture of when it is melted, but it will be around 300 degrees f. Make sure to wear your gloves because it is very hot! You can find all the info about tempering your isomalt from scratch and my preferred temperatures for my brand on my website, simicakes.com. Thanks for watching!
Isomalt is sugar free so it isn't going to be as sweet as sugar, but it does take on any oil based flavor you mix into it really easily which can make it more delicious than the plain unflavored isomalt! Thanks for watching!
Hi there! Sorry about that, it should be fixed now. Here is the link again: simi-cakes-and-confections.square.site/product/my301-lollipop-shaker-maker/983?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=7
You can! Sugar is much more temperamental and will melt in any bit of humidity, so the shelf life is much shorter for pre-made decorations. That's why I use isomalt, because it will hold up a lot better and longer! But the sugar will work with the mold no problem!

I'm so glad you've started playing with isomalt, AvieMare!! Please feel free to send me an email at info@simicakes.com with any questions you may have about working with the mold, and I would be happy to help. It takes a little practice just like any new technique, but the best part about isomalt is it can be re-melted again and again!
Yes! Isomalt is a sugar free hard candy made from beets, it's 100% edible! Check out my "Simi Isomalt Basics" playlist, the first video explains all about what isomalt is! Thanks for watching!

How would you recommend sweetening it?
Isomalt is sugar free so it isn't going to be as sweet as sugar, but it does take on any oil based flavor you mix into it really easily which can make it more delicious than the plain unflavored isomalt! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tutorial! How many lollipops can be made with 6oz of isomalt?
It depends on how thick you pour them, but generally 4-6 lollipops from a 6oz bag! Thanks for watching!
Love it❤
Can any edible glaze be apply to prevent stickiness?
I prefer the PME Clear Edible Glaze Spray, but any glaze in spray form will work! Thank you for watching!
Hi Sidney, when I click at the link to purchase the shaker mold it says the link is broken, can you please give me the correct one, thanks.

Can you use the sugar (sugar, corn syrup, and water) based mixtures instead of isolmat?
You can! Sugar is much more temperamental and will melt in any bit of humidity, so the shelf life is much shorter for pre-made decorations. That's why I use isomalt, because it will hold up a lot better and longer! But the sugar will work with the mold no problem!
Do you have monthly kits with tutorials that can be purchased in advance to follow along w/your tutorials?
