  • When every woman in your family is mixed like you, for generations, there's a certain amount of wisdom that is passed down. Here's what I noticed in my family.

8:45 your mom is a smart woman ! Fun fact- my mom actually told me as well that a lot of girls would use jealousy/mean girl tactics against me . I feel like pretty women know the tea !

I've always been told to go out looking good, putting an effort in my appearance as an MGM. Unfortunately my mother tends to criricize whatever I wear (sometimes the argument ending up in screaming matches), so I did the opposite and did not put effort in what I wear.

@@ValMorgwain I’m sorry that’s happening to you. I’m not sure how old you are but you deserve to try out different styles and looks and find what suits you. You are something to behold🫶🏼 Dont give up on expressing yourself in the ways you want to❤️‍🩹❤️

I never trusted anyone but my mother with my hair growing up she was always gentle with me because I was a tender head, she knew how to make my curls flourish with love, the very few times we went to the salon, my sister's hair was badly burned, she had to cut that part off, it was literally unsavable and yes the women in my family always said always look good in public, my mother used to go shopping in heels! She made sure My sister and I always looked like little princesses and it has definitely followed me into my adult life....love the content!❤❤❤

yes i feel like it’s a completely different experience being mixed but having mixed parents. my mom told me about her experiences being mixed and the jealousy and hatred that people had towards her. she always taught me that those kinds of people were just envious and to not let it affect my self-esteem. i’m glad for this because i see a lot of other mixed people feeling shame for their race just because of something a racist or jealous person said.
