I am confused about what you are gluing the new fabric to. I have a headliner in my RV that's coming down and was looking for some tips on how to remove it without getting all the dry black foam all over the place and then cleaning the existing wood (or whatever that is up there) so I can put new fabric on. I can't put new stuff on till I know how to get the old stuff off and cleaned up.

Nice work. You could have also used a heat gun to soften the PVC trim to shape it to the curve.

Excellent idea! I wonder if it will work, I will try it out. Thanks!!!

@@SailriteDIY I agree with the suggestion. I have used a heat gun on PVC pipe up to 4" to form and bend it. Electricians actually have an "electric blanket" that they wrap PVC conduit in to make bends up to ninety degrees.

Where it is so critical to get a smooth cut an Exacto knife would be a better choice. On a calibrated sharpness gauge a single blade actual razor rates at 50 while a utility knife blade only gets 150 with sharp kitchen chef's knife is between 150 to 200. I was a bit surprised when I saw this after a long lifetime of using both however in more recent years I have noticed a very much diminished sharpness in utility blades and that they dull very quickly. Something to keep in mind.

Approximately how long does the spray adhesive last? I would hate to run out mid project

Thank you for the video, just wondering, can you put foam back vinyl directly over monkey hair vinyl with the spray adhesive or would you need to remove the monkey hair vinyl first?

How on earth many cans of adhesive do you need to purchase? With them running $30+/can... it seems like a crazy high expense.

Coverage is approximately 30 square feet (covering both surfaces vertically and horizontally) per can. I hope that helps answer your question about DIY. You could always go to a professional shop and ask how much they would charge, it might be a little more.
