I got one this year. Absolutely love it. It's a cute little car with great gas mileage. It is great to have as a car to just drive around town or commute in.
Looking at a 2021 Activ manual transmission Spark, looks sharp, trying to convince the wife we don’t need a big ass suv anymore, we don’t take family drives /trips anymore. It’ll fit the 3 of us and some groceries or shopping.
Im looking at buying one to drive to work (60 miles one way) gas mileage is what I need and a nice easy ride to go along with it would be great. I think you sold me on the Spark
@@dizanm7851 I live in Louisiana and I’ve owned 4 sparks.. my newest being the 2021 and I gave my son my old 2018 one that lives in Vermont. In Louisiana of course does great in the winter as we have mild weather. My son on the other hand had to buy winter tires but that’s the only thing he’s had to modify. The cabin is easily heated and holds heat because it’s a smaller cabin but you wouldn’t know because it’s a hatchback it gives a larger cabin appearance. I highly recommend this car! My first one got t boned and flipped 2 times before landing into a ditch. They used the jaws machine to pull me out and my car was totaled but I came out without a scratch.

I felt like I was struggling to get up and go when I merged onto the interstate during a test drive. A car flew up on me, and they seemed annoyed, but it took a minute or two for the car to go. When I'd release the gas pedal, it would do this noticeable down shift thing. Kind of like a sputter/slight jerking. My dad said his Cherokee does that, and you get used to it, but I didn't like that. It was really noticeable to me when I drove through a subdivision with a lot of stop signs. I'd release while driving up to a stop sign, preparing to brake, and the car would noticeably downshift a couple of times, and it felt like it was like, forcing me to slow down, as opposed to what I'm used to in a car, that kind of gliding type feel until you press the brakes. I think this would be a really great starter car, or something to slap some commuting mileage on, but for me, it's just too basic of a vehicle. I really like the smooth ride that comes with Kia Optimas nowadays, and their capability to get up and go. I'm struggling to find anything because I'm just locked in on Optimas. Once you drive one, it's difficult to then ride around in a Spark, lol.
The Chevy spark is not bad for a dirt box for a compact it's ok I guess a spark tryed to race me . He was there for about a mile or so it was fun but he thought he had me but no his car ran out of breath.i drive a civic he lost but he gave me a good run we had fun for 20 minutes yahoo

I have driven all over the country in mine. You have to know how to drive. I mean, it’s a 4 cylinder car for goodness sake, don’t pull out in front of traffic on the hwy or interstate lol. It does not have a lot of bottom end power but will easily go 80 on cruise control no problem

0-60 in 10.6 seconds 30-50 in 7.6 seconds you better plan your moves ahead of time. It would be a car for young drivers, college kids, and seniors citizens.
ive owned several cars that did 0-60 of around 9-10 secs. its not that terrible. drive about any car or truck made in the 80s and a 10 sec 0-60 was normal if not quick. we live in a great age of horsepower in cars. and i think we've gotten too used to 6 second 0-60 family sedans that we forget that just 30 years ago those speeds were reserved for sports cars. i might buy one of these soon, or a kia rio. neither are faster than my full sized suv, but speed doesn't matter to me when most my trips are 20 miles or less daily.
