I love the photos. You do such a good job with your postings. Poor Corelli: still suffering with such passion! The lyrics here are a little strange, but, I do enjoy the cultural differences. So odd, to me, to invoke your mum in this way. Enjoying these performances so much. Dear Franco Corelli RIP. Thank you!

Maybe the confusion comes from my translation?:S Most of the song he's actually addressing the woman he loves secretly, only like two lines are said to the Mamma who just wants to find out what's wrong with his son. To be honest I think the original Neapolitan text uses third person when talking about the mom (and most of the other translations I saw used that as well): "What does my mother want to know?" etc. But I thought that sounds a bit awkward and less poetic, so I changed it to direct speech. (Now I realize maybe it wasn't such a good idea :D)

@@giovannismansion no! Your translation is fine! It’s not the second or third person usage, but rather the concept of speaking in such an impassioned way to mum that surprises me. I guess we English are a bit cold sometimes...I love the poetry of all these songs and the explosion of joy from the audience. This song sequence, together with the photos is a treasure. Thank you so much. They have cheered me through a challenging couple of weeks.

@@maggiedeveney oh, okay, I was worried I made the text sound stranger than it was intended to be :)
To help keeping your spirits up is one more good reason for me then to keep making these videos, but I myself too need Franco's voice every day to boost my mood in these trying times. Keep strong and stay safe, dear Maggie!
