If a Bloodlusted Vidarr can win against a Full Powered Thor in a Mid - High Diff Fight, then it would be interesting to see Kratos fighting him, since Vidarr is Stronger than Thor, who is also the most powerful Aesir. This is hypothetical though since we never actually got to see Vidarr in the Game, I don’t know why they never added him in though, it’s so stupid that they didn’t do so. He would have had so much potential as a character.

Obviously, the whole "God of Vengeance" thing is a bit farfetched given the fact that Kratos is supposed to have changed, but we can't ignore how he turned Heimdall's face to jam and then squeezed his oesophagus like a toothpaste. I get a sneaking suspicion that Kratos hasn't completely rid himself of his violence. Also, we see Kratos being revered and worshipped in future prophecies at the end of the game after Ragnarok. Could be linked to how Vidarr himself, as one of the strongest of the surviving Gods, became ruler after Ragnarok.

That theory would've actually held up but if you recollect, on the Giants' mural in Jotunheim at the end of GOW 2018 they referred to Kratos as Farbauti. So while Kratos definitely is all about vengeance, it would kinda break canon imo to now imply that he's been Vidar all along😅 Would be sick if Vidar popped up as a final boss in the next game though fr🗿💪🏻🔥give Kratos and adult Atreus both a run for their money only for them to come back from the brink and form a truce of some kind...

Only if Santa Monica Studios makes another Norse mythology game it would be nice to make Kratos fight Viðarr as Ragnarök is over and he hunts Atreus to kill him because Kratos died and he is the remaining ruler of the norse world. I know it sounds bad, but Atreus will embark on a journey to wake him from the dead for help. He would also get the help of Athena ( from the Greek mythology, goddess of intelligence) and Thrud ( Thor's daughter ) to fight Viðarr and free the world from him. By the end of the game Viðarr dies and Kratos wants to learn how Atreus brought him back to life just so he can bring Faye to and continue to discover hidden treasures through the realms.
Checked out as soon as you said he became the ruler of the new world. Such a concept not only does not exist, but actively clashes with the philosophies within the Norse Myths.
If u guys don’t understand the “became ruler of the new world part”, let me explain. Post Ragnarök, not many gods or people survived the reckoning previously. Some of the gods that survived are, Magni, Modi, Hoenir, and you guessed it, Vidàr. All remaining Æsir all meet in Ithavillir, and then discuss, party and decide who is the new king or queen of Asgard. As fate falls upon Vidàr , he gets crowned king of the Æsir for all eternity.
It would be weird for these games to not be a trilogy... and this god of vengeance, who survives ragnarok would have a good reason to go after kratos or atreaus. Him, with forcetti, and a pissed off Sindri would be a real problem

His strength varies on his challenge. Screw soloing the Gods of Olympus, that would be light work for Vidar. Even his own pantheon, Thor was genuinely scared of him and he fears nobody. Vidar could stop Ragnarok by himself, killing all threats immediately but his father (Odin) doesn’t want that to happen.

His strength varies on his challenge. Screw soloing the Gods of Olympus, that would be light work for Vidar. Even his own pantheon, Thor was genuinely scared of him and he fears nobody.
Vidar could stop Ragnarok by himself, killing all threats immediately but his father (Odin) doesn’t want that to happen.

First of all there aren't many stronger enemies in Ragnarork Fenrir and the World Serpent aren't that much of a big deal they made out of it just Odin and Thor aren't strong enough to handle them and had too much arrogance to acknowledge their weaknesses and they get worse as they grow older because they aren't immortals like Olympus God's where they get stronger and stronger as they get old plus they had blood of both giant's and Primordial God's in them that made them immortals and stronger as they grow older
Maybe Vidar could have defeated half of Olympus God's or even Zeus at some point after getting huge wounds but saying he could solo Olympus nah it's impossible unless Primordial God's won't interfere or Kratos won't use his power of time and no his rage doesn't work like that it's just get stronger and stronger as he gets more angry
in Norse Pantheon he was just holding his strength way too much if not he would have ripped apart Baldur, Thor and his sons, Odin and all of the gods in two pieces bare handed.
You didn't forgot his power of time insanely broken power he got from his grandfather Cronos? only that power was able to help him beat Zeus otherwise it would have take 5-6 more deaths until Kratos could have defeated Zeus.

HOLD UP HOLD UP. In mythology this guy is the son of Odin. After Ragnarök he intends to avenge his father's death by killing Fenrir (Loki's son). Yo imagine there will be another part of God of War (or DLC) in which he is the final boss. Maybe during his journey to find more giants Loki will meet his potential enemies?? That would be so badass. They say that he will become ruler of the new world, but as we know, Kratos and Atreus can change fate. There are many gods apart from Odin who could be our potential enemies. I don't know if it would be as spectacular as God of War Ragnarök, but it definitely has some potential.
God of VENGEANCE is one hell of a title as well.
