    I have a 351W with BPE heads, Comp XE266HR cam and a DNA "GT45" turbo in a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. Are you still planning on making one of these videos for turbo tuning? I am very interested.

    306 with Edelbrock Performer heads with 202 valves they are porter and polished from the guy I bought them from 1.7 Svo roller rockers, F303 Cam, Trickflow street intake,BBK 75mm Throttle body and soon to be Turbo once it comes.
    Haven’t got anything for my fuel system but will definitely be getting the Terminator X once I get the funds to buy it. I’m watching your videos to try to learn some things. This will be my 1st turbo car.
    I was told to get the delk 80lb injectors and a 340 pump.

    • @LeechMotorsports

      The 340 pump and stock lines/rails will run out well before the 80s will. However, you will probably be ok on that combo as long as you aren’t planning to run high boost numbers and stay on pump gas.

      Just keep the base fuel pressure down at factory ford setting of 39 psi, and use the data available on the ford LU80 data sheet per the injector video I posted.

    so while I am waiting on parts I've been trying to read up and watch everything I can that i think relates to my combo but what things are there I can be changing in the generic base tune that Holley gives for supercharged sbf? I have a hci , novi 1000, 306 that is probably wayyyy off for that starting point I'm assuming that after I set up everything through the wizard handheld that I can take the SD card and add tuning changes from my desktop? thanks for any input.. love watching all your videos because you take the time to explain things

    Is 100kpa just the basic like “this is zero psi”? Or should I look up my altitude in my area?? I have my 0psi set at 80kpa due to being in indiana which is 719’ above sea level.

    • @LeechMotorsports
      @LeechMotorsports  2 года назад +1

      Yes 100 kpa is only an approximation before factoring in elevation and air conditions. As long as you have the correct map sensor selected, start by just looking at the reading during a key on. Then you can recalibrate the sensor to offset as needed if your goal is to see almost exactly 100 kpa at full throttle. At 719’ your 0 psi kpa should be very close to 100 with no additional offsets being applied.

    How different doing a map for running a kenne bell at 10lbs.

    • @LeechMotorsports
      @LeechMotorsports  3 года назад

      The thing about the kenne bell is that it builds boost very very quickly when compared to a centrifugal. So you have to be more careful in the lower rpm/high kpa areas where it will very quickly build cylinder pressure.

  • @callofgeorge
    @callofgeorge 3 года назад

    I'm assuming this would be roughly the same for turbo applications?

    • @LeechMotorsports
      @LeechMotorsports  3 года назад +1

      I still need to put together a turbo specific video. In terms of total timing at peak boost it will be more or less the same. But in early tuning stages , you have to be a little more careful with a turbo. Centrifugal supercharger shave a very linear boost curve. In those applications, you can mash the pedal at 3k rpms and quickly achieve full boost. But with a turbo you can. And in many cases, the total
      Boost the turbo will achieve is a bit of an unknown. Additionally, the transition form 0 to full boost happens extremely fast with a turbo unless adequate boost control is in place. So in the rpm areas leading up to peak torque, you need to be careful. I’ll be sure to do this turbo video soon.

      @@LeechMotorsports awesome.. im trying to fine tune mine now.. had someone that had a tt 302 send me their config file after having a dyno shop tune their car.. they tuned to with what i'd call a verrry aggressive timing and and fuel map that looked like a mt range. needless to say, i took some ideas, but didn't use much else from the maps.

    • @LeechMotorsports
      @LeechMotorsports  3 года назад

      So I’m definitely going to spend some time talking about fueling tables. But the target AFR is the important part of the fuel setup. The biggest advantage of the Holley is its very rapid and accurate closed loop fueling control under boost. Even if you base fuel map is all jacked up, the Holley should still be able to adjust to your target very quickly. Then you can. Modify your tune accordingly.
