To make some quick recommendations from what I've seen since making this, using your first 2 sparks on some combination of the Elemental Lariat JC Neck (recipe not out yet), Weapons, and Rings probably makes the most sense for most Mythic Progression Raiders. Wowhead guides are being updated for each spec too I've heard, so you can wait and check that or find your spec's theorycrafters for more info! If you're not going to get access to tier pieces and/or Concentrated Primal Infusions for a while (+16 or higher keys, mythic bosses), instead you'll probably be best served by just crafting into whichever slots you can get crafted at high quality or whichever slots are your lowest item level.
I can confirm that you do not have to do the storyline on your alts to get the spark, when you become level 69. the quest of tyr appears and you do that short questline and its yours on all your alts.
For those with alts, especially if you started them in DF _before_ finishing the campaign on your main it can be a bit confusing to finish the Valdrakkken campaign. The Valdrakken quest line its about 90 minutes, maybe less, but unless you are paying attention you might not see it because it doesn't show up as a Campaign Quest. To do it, do the following: - After flying to the Capital, you meet with Alexastraza on the roof, she introduces you to the Head of Security, you do two or three quests for him - He'll offer a "side" quest to go to the South Gate (or South Wall) go there, do like 5 quests - The last South Wall quest will send you back to Alexastraza - Norsdomu next to Alexstraza will give you a quest to find Chromie but it's also a side quest and doesn't show up on your mini-map, but it's pretty much directly east, just fly there and look for the Sands of Time stuff. - You do talk to Chromie briefly but you still need to a few more side quests there helping out a Dragon who's visage is a Tauren and a Drakthyr - _Finally_ they send you to meet her again where she's impriisoned Eternus in a bubble and she'll start giving more quests to run through time - At this point, I don't believe _any_ of these quests are shown as Campaign quests with an alt, but finish until you meet Alexstraza again - From there, you will get prompted by an NPC to learn about the Spark and you do three quests to open that up. Due to the display issue where none of these show as Campaign quests, it can be a bit confusing as to what is mandatory and what is not.

Good video. Right now, I feel like the personal and public craft order sytem needs to be merged. I still have to spam the trade chat to find a proficient crafter, making the whole system completely obsolete imho. from beta testing: When you want your mythic weapon, with embelishment and favorite stats it is not possible to guarante a max level outcome. Even with a full tree or being extremly specialized.
It's important to note that people can safely do a public order to start with and look for a higher level recraft later on, it's generally not very expensive imo.
can confirm, the recraft, unlike the normal craft, of these epic items, is very safe. Epic Plate Pauldrons for example cost 5 artisan mettle and some molten alloy to recraft. thats all. So, its advisable to craft the epic gear as early as possible and not wait until one maxes everything out.
@@gillon123 Yeah im assuming the way this system works at max, is deterministic hard crafted gear that can be embellished + 418 ilvl will be really strong. Hey Dratnos, only thing I am confused on is that if u make a crafted piece now and it rolls low quality are u able to recraft to higher quality along with the embellishments and infusions you mentioned? Also very helpful vids love your content!!
Yep, you can recraft an item just to up the quality if you want. It won't cost you any more primal chaos or sparks of ingenuity, but it will cost a small amount of artisan's mettle.
One thing of note though is that if you choose to craft a piece now, you won't be able to backfill your pieces with crafted gear. Maybe not super important though if you don't care much
Made an embellished today with the mastery buff. It’s broken. When they fall below 90% and they get above again the mastery from the item becomes 0 until it’s removed and re equipped. Kinda sucks
I strongly dislike not being able to set a minimum quality on public orders. Changing that one thing would make the system so much better imo. Right now public orders just seem like a bad choice all around. Instead of a public market, everyone just finds someone outside the system to send a personal order to. I’d love to be able to go to the crafting orders and provide a service via the public orders, but I don’t see them being used often without being able to set a minimum quality.

You dont have to do the whole quest line you need to the quest with seeking out the invaders in valdrakken if you done that the quest for the spark pops up
Yes, you can wear multiple 418 crafted pieces but 1) Sparks are timegated and 2) Lots of the gear either has or can get the Unique-Equipped: Embellished (2) tag which means you can only put on two such pieces. Still, can have 2 of those and then some other crafted gear that isn't Embellished (and is still 418)
Im not sure if you have this kind of knowledge regardning blacksmithing. But if you do, please make a video about it... Find it very hard to get to lvl 100 and maybe some advice in what to prioritise my knowledge point at? Peace

So basically a nice system but it's fucking badly timegated again like everything else. But yeah everything else about it is totally great.
So how I understand it I guess is that we make a piece of gear using the highest quality mats we can and find a crafter with a high skill chance to make said item at higher ilvl. In theroy then this piece of gear would last us all season right? That is if we aren't mythic raiding and 418 ilvl being about the highest gear we can get. Also if theres any leatherworkers on Area-52 who want to make friends with a druid, I got some armor I need made and I can trade services for my alchemy lol.
I want to see the raid loot so i know what to craft. If i don't get a helm until the last 3 bosses then i want to know that. If my helm drops off the first boss i want to know that too
As a seasoned player (since BC) this expac is obviously designed to get people spending money on professions but holy crap it has the most confusing systems implemented. The premise of the work orders is great but they needed to simplify the process and understanding of how it all works.
They went way to far with the crafting system imo. So much so that most players will end up ignoring it because its too complicated. The levels of gear, ore, herbs, etc never should have existed. An ore should be an ore.
Yes, there is only one Anvil in the game that works. Fly to Azure Span, that first outpost where you meet Khadgar and that person named the "all knowing". For the life of me I can't remember the name, but there is a busted tower with a Forge and two anvils, the anvil on the right lets you do Work Orders. I have my alt Blacksmith parked there.
@@GoldenMechaTiger you’ll be the only one then, it’s a known issue that blacksmiths cannot complete WOs in the city. The only Anvil that works is in the Azure Span, at least as of last night in the US
The problem with the system is that most decent recipes are locked behind renown and specializations that are also time gated. So by the time you actually have the skill required to get a high enough quality for an item, that item is gonna be obsolete by the fact that Raid M+ and PvP is released soon.
Blizzard things. They really did too much too complecated and they have multiple things you cannot change after you did it which is really important and impactful. I like that they changed it and how they changed it - KIND OF - but it´s too much and too ultimate. Do one mistake and you can relearn your profession or just delete the character.
Yeah both the knowledge and the sparks feel too permanent. I can understand why knowledge not being permanent would be abused but for sparks I don't think they can excuse not having a quest where you turn in a piece of bop gear that took a spark to craft and get it back.
idk i don't wanna be a dickhead but but the order system seems like a big money milking machine. so non crafter are forced to pay a price for the craft that is mandatory to play the game at a high lvl. if only the token gets removed. nobody would complain.

The soul reagents require engineers sucking souls from mobs, dunno how gated they are but there's no souls on my server ah
Souls are bop, you have to get them (or the crafter)
How do you get the infusion
Will the crafting ilvl increase each season?
so what are the variables to make a crafted item 408 or 418 with using an optional reagent?
man I've been putting workorders for 1g comission, and people are still doing the work xD saves me gold from only buying mats.
I want to see the raid loot so i know what to craft. If i don't get a helm until the last 3 bosses then i want to know that. If my helm drops off the first boss i want to know that too
THANK 'NOS
ez. Just make engineering goggles or bracers so you can have a tinker socket. :)
not being able to choose quality in public orders is so lame, i thought they where trying to get rid of forcing us to sit in town spamming.
As a seasoned player (since BC) this expac is obviously designed to get people spending money on professions but holy crap it has the most confusing systems implemented. The premise of the work orders is great but they needed to simplify the process and understanding of how it all works.
Where did you get the spark? What quest is that from?
There is a quest in val place. Owe you the npc name though.
@@EldritchBladesgaming Yeah I just completed it, very short and trivial questline.
Clear as mud, not your fault.
All this fancy shit is moot. Just get gear from m+ and raid
They went way to far with the crafting system imo. So much so that most players will end up ignoring it because its too complicated. The levels of gear, ore, herbs, etc never should have existed. An ore should be an ore.
Go sit down.
is blacksmithing work order bugged? because its always greyd out
Yes, there is only one Anvil in the game that works. Fly to Azure Span, that first outpost where you meet Khadgar and that person named the "all knowing". For the life of me I can't remember the name, but there is a busted tower with a Forge and two anvils, the anvil on the right lets you do Work Orders. I have my alt Blacksmith parked there.
@@andrewshandle I see it! thank you very much
@@andrewshandle huh. I've been able to do work orders just fine in the main city
@@GoldenMechaTiger you’ll be the only one then, it’s a known issue that blacksmiths cannot complete WOs in the city. The only Anvil that works is in the Azure Span, at least as of last night in the US
@@andrewshandle Doubt that. Maybe it's a US thing or your server or something
Crafting is too complex for a common player who does not craft or want to learn this.
Dude I love you
Professions give off such a mobile game mode - I get it more to do in professions but they have over done it imo.
Ty
Gearing is and always will be Blizzards downfall. They have a mindset that barriers between players need to exist. Sad.
they just fixed it btw
The order system is just outright awful. The only real knock I have against the expansion so far.
Sparks take a really good crafting system to hot garbage.
Why? Allowing whales to buy gold and get all the 392 ilvl gear without playing the game sounds terrible.
@@PendlayRoe yea
@@PendlayRoe You cant buy 40-100 primal chaos orbs. That would have been a fine limiting factor.
Ugh I just don’t wanna profession, way too much shit to deal with, it might screw me but I don’t care, not interested
My god this is so confusing
idk i don't wanna be a dickhead but but the order system seems like a big money milking machine. so non crafter are forced to pay a price for the craft that is mandatory to play the game at a high lvl. if only the token gets removed. nobody would complain.
