I just geared up a lizard. Spent 8-10k gold on greens did the research under fire + 1500 rep quest for 2 champion items giving me the score for lfr. Then used my own key and pushed m+ to 12 and sat there for a week. If I got over a 12 I dropped it and I didn't do 11 incase some left or something and tried to brick my key I was still in the right range. Tons of over geared people looking to do 11-13 so pretty easy to get at least 1 ringer. Once I had most of my gear at 12 and 20-30 crest I jumped into 16-17 to start getting my craft items to 447 and any new champion or hero items to 437. Got to 440 in 2 weeks. Mind you I can play a lot more then the average but the road was pretty easy and smooth.
I feel like people have totally forgotten about the Forbidden Reach. You can still, sometimes, find groups farming rares or that mountain area. Those drop 385 gear tokens that you can mail to alts. Just do that with your main for a bit then send to your ALT and go from there? Between that and the cavern storyline, you'll have enough to LFR.
Sadly, Forbidden Reach is usually empty and groups are super rare. You're better of picking up the weekly Rep quests, the heroic dungeon quest and just doing the main Zaralek campaign with an alt while queueing for the Heroic dungeons. You'll get gear, random events that get you upgrades, some people doing the rares there, enough flightstones to upgrade the gear you get and you get both rep quests and the H dungeon quest done at about the same time which net you even more upgrades.
@@diode_wow Yeah I got lucky ealier this week and found a group that quickly farmed some stuff that I was able to send to my warlock. I think it was three pieces. That really helped. But it is hard to find a group.
you can also join a raid group for researchers under fire event to get that tier 4 weekly reward, which guarantees you a champion piece of gear! I also discovered recently that in order to get t4 reward u just need to be there when 12/12 objective gets done so you dont have to worry about being late to the event.
I’m a returning player, started about a month ago. Didn’t know anything about M+ and nothing about the modern ways of getting gear. Took all about an hour to figure out. And I got my fury warrior to ilvl 427 in about 9 days of playing. That’s with a lot of time wasted and including leveling it from 57-70 the slow way. But just starting at 70 with money? Just buy 372 gear to run heroic for the weekly, then run M+ on ur own key. If you’re on an alt and know mechanics etc, you should be able to spam M0 to M11 within 4 hours max on ur own key. I did it in about 6 without any knowledge of the dungeons. In terms of total time from starting M+ to ilvl 427, I’d say it took about 4 days of playing (maybe 5 hours a day). Woulda been probably sooner but I didn’t know about crafting orders. And with the vault and catalyst, got a 4 set tier in the same first week. So realistically, if your already level 70, on an alt and know all of the dungeons at a higher level, you should be able to spam M+ and get a guy up to at least 420-425 ilvl within 3 days of spamming dungeons. Without doing worlds or raids. Then obviously start spamming up to 16+ for aspect crests. That’s just a lazy and efficient way of doing it for anyone that doesn’t wanna travel around much.
Just the ring really but it's getting a big nerf in less than 2 weeks. The 2set from belt/boots/bracers might be worth though until you have much higher ilvl.

Rare farming groups are very active. I see at least 2-3 every day recently.
