Thats exactly what I thought. They fired it up and I thought "I never heard a 500" V-8 naturally aspirated motor surge like that at idle, I bet they mean its a diesel puller motor".

Look at the water box bouncing every time it WOMP WOMPS💪💪 and you can hear the air getting sucked in that monster turbo. Is it a Deere?? Sure is a nice set up ❤️❤️
Been dynoing there a long time? Not concerned with a fire 🔥? Just saying, seen them happen & they usually make a huge mess! What does it have for water brakes? Has to be two I’m guessing? TRE in Texas had a flywheel come apart, (big power drag engines!) it cut the fuel line, building fully involved in minutes! Lost whole shop!
Its a prostock diesel pulling tractor engine. Its got so much air and fuel flowing through it, and at idle it can't properly utilize it all. Its like sticking your head out of a car window while moving down the highway, or drinking from a full glass and tipping it all the way up instead of just a little bit...its practically choking. But it's normal in this case. Its not built to do much idling.
@chrisrogers3175 the big bang at the end isn't normal, that engine had problems early on, the white smoke wasn't normal, and the box I assume that had coolant in it up front doesn't pulsate if the engine is right.... I'm not sure if they will post an update but as many diesels as I've been around, none have ever sounded so bad, the thing never saw much RPM and full load...
Oh the other pro stock lol

Totally got me on this one . I've gotten old and irrelevant 😂
Brave bunch of men right there. That thing comes apart it's gonna turn that room into match sticks.
My thoughts exactly as he's sitting on the other side of some 7/16osb...

Would have been nice to see the hp out put
That's what a 3,000hp+ diesel sounds like
I'm going to say more like 5k HP
@@tomreisinger6220 Even more so, 3k hp is just a baseline for pullers 🤣
Looks like a Cummins
@@dougdayboll4424 John Deere.
Some of these sled pullers are 6-7000hp and 300-400psi of boost.
I'd say 1:35 it had reached a category 6 vacuum 😂
That room looks like it’s been rebuilt before 😅
Hahaha. Right?
All right, can we see the data sheet on that?
yeah right they aint givin away secrets when they spent 50k lol
@@KingJT80all that billet is a lot more than 50k
It's been a while since I went to the drags, Pro Stock has really changed!
😂 puller, dirt, oil burner 🤣
Omg ! There's someone in the Box !
man that is a huuuuge charge air cooler 😳
Talk about your vacuum advance! That thing looked like it sucked the air plumb out the room.
Amazing pull! Care to give specs on the turbo?
I thought pro-stock were naturally aspirated V8s
Pro stock pulling tractor
Are you sure that's not a diesel engine I rebuilt a lot of them and that hunting sounds very familiar
Frickin A! Gives me a big stiffy! :)Thanks for sharing.
That’s asking a lot out of those casters.
Sounds good Kevin
Is is water or nitro injection at full throttle?
Straight water
What's that dripping out at the end 💦☺️😊😚
What are they spraying through the turbo?
I don't kiss and tell.. you can see it dripping out of the sucky parts 🙊🤐
Water injection
Oh man. Swap this into a miata
Just put tires on each end of the crank and sit on top.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaamd my pants are ruined. JeeeeeSUS!
absolute 0 then preheat to 29 deg but titanium block
How much RPM?
Is that water meth injecting before the turbo?
Water only per the rules, methanol is prohibited.
Why did it sound like a steam engine at first?
Cam, ignition timing, larger fuel lines, larger injectors
Whad it make!ffs
Doesn’t sound like ANY Pro Stock engine I’ve ever heard. More like the “Rump-Rump” idle of a blown alcohol to me.🤷♂️
Many stock tractors use turbocharged V8 diesels...

Lmao!!!!
Absolutely nothing. Why would you think something is wrong with it?

Yeah. Dyno testing is hopefully boring to watch. It can be hours of boredom punctuated by moments of stark terror.

@chrisrogers3175 I don't gue
