They usually stay around 100, maybe a little over. They got a lot of displacement to fill and combist with that 100+ psi. I can't imagine the size and materials of the head studs and main caps
@@joshlewis5065 Man, you and me both. Aside from some of the catastrophic failures I've seen, I'm surprised they last as long as they do, with the amount of torque these things generate. 😳

@@geraldgoodiii6993 a top fuel makes 3 times this power, that's a whole different league.
Might make 3 times the power. But the Torque on a diesel is about 3 times the hp. Our farmstock makes 750 hp and 2100 ft lbs of torque

There is at least one tractor dyno in Germany who is capable of testing a super-stock tractor.
But since there is only one diesel super left I doubt we will see a dyno pull of it
It's no worse than a deceptively factory tuned Volkswagen.

3-4 gallons
beermoney uses people who have no clue what they are talking about while responding, they use 12-13 gallons per pull
Holly crap I had no idea there were even hub dynos that could even measure tractors at this power and TQ range

IH Block in this tractor and the turbo size is over 6 inch
How come the dyno hubs are barely turning after the pull? Was that a normal pull or just testing the spool?

Nice vid but I only count 3 turbos. One off the left side of the engine (high pressure) when looking at it and then two at the front (low pressure). Looks to be a 6 cylinder engine as the intake is on the right. The high pressure turbo feeds almost directly into the intake manifold.

Wow! What an incredible setup! Curious........what is the block based on? I'm assuming it's a billet block, but what's the displacement and what stock motor is it based on? Amazing turbo sounds? Also, what is the maximum boost pressure with all 4 turbos spooled? What is the turbo arrangement? Two smaller spooling the two larger? or a different arrangement? Thanks!!
It is an International Block and boost is over 200 pounds and i believe its 2 small feeding 2 big ones
its a stock block, 480CI, dt466 engine originally, max boost around 400 psi, these 2 atmospheric turbos feed a slightly bigger turbo and that turbo feeds a 143mm turbo on the manifold.
What kind of boost numbers do these typically run with the quad chargers?

Its hard to wrap your mind around that! Insane boost! I work on aircraft and engines and its pretty wild. Modern turbofans can have compressor discharge pressures in the 600-700psi or more and temperatures approaching 1000°F just from compression. Its hot enough to turn the compressor cases blue/purple/ straw colors. Titanium tubing is all sorts of pretty colors.
@mytmousemalibu EGT's on extreme Diesel engines will approach 1400º F. But you want to keep them under the 1200º range or you start hurting valves and turbos. But for all-out competition where an engine only runs for a few seconds at full-bore...
I've seen spikes of up to 1600º

Can somebody give me a break down of the science of using so much what looks like either? Like is it because the poor beast will hydro lock on so much diesel when its cold??
they motors decompress and so when you start them you use ether to help start it and wait for oil pressure.

Seriously what's the odds of showing the people how a motor like this holds in that kinda boost pressure? I'm sure there is some serious hoops in that block and that fuel system must be unreal. Show so tech stuff for us nerds

@@beermoneypullingteam yup n million too but not the whole way u see more rpms to get head of the competition then bring done 6000 rpms to 4500 at the end n the pressure decrease 1 million to 500 to 400 to 300 225 psi 4 turbo timing as well lower in beginning then higher compression then lower n a better timing 😁

@@janisvaskevics93 remap a mechanical pump? do you have the slightest idea of the power and fuel this thing uses? 13 gallons in 300 feet at WOT, without that much fuel it would run hot and wouldnt spool those turbos at all, any massive diesel will bellow smoke before the turbo spools.
