- Thank you to Kevin Engelking and Engelking Dyno Service for letting us film our dyne experience! Do you think we got the horse power we wanted? We took our 4.1 Limited Pro Stock pulling tractor to try and get some horsepower before we head to the Midwest Winter Nationals for an indoor tractor pull!
Thanks for following along on our farming and tractor pulling journey! We appreciate our growing community and love sharing our lives with you. As always, let us know in the comments what questions you have or what you'd like to see!

Thanks For The Video!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
Always!
Thanks for sharing, I hope you guys have lots of fun and pretzels ❤️💯🙏
Always!
Thanks for sharing. This guy is practically in our backyard and we had no idea! I’ve seen his White run and it’s one of my favorites! Very interesting.
Oh wow!
Hope you guys have lots of time for fun! Thanks for sharing! Love you all ❤
We will!
Keep the videos coming my new friends ! 🍺🎉😎
Thank you! Will do!
What a great video!! Thanks for sharing with us!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for showing us the dyno setup 👍 give em’ hell at the ship boy💪
You bet
When you guys are at the ship, go talk to my buddy Nick at fluidampr booth near the end of the track. He's also the new competition director for empire State pullers in NY. Good luck this weekend!
Thanks!
I like the corn planter analogy!
It was a good one!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Love the channel. Dyno pulls are great for braking in an engine which we really don't know if it's a new engine or just trying new parts. Top secret operation👍
Thank you!
I know this asking something that won’t be answered but is it possible to watch you guys build up an engine??These engines have always fascinated me.
We will get more videos of us working on it
Oh! I can't wait for pulling season! Been slowly getting throu the play list. Unfortunately I'm gonna miss our local pull this year damnit.
We can’t wait for pulling season either!
Awesome video, keep them coming
More to come!
I will be in Shippshy tonight, good luck
Thanks!
The Dyno must have helped those were 2 nice pulls at Shipshawa fri & sat Larry from Pa
Sure did!
you will meet a lot of you tube farmers at the big show... let us know who you meeet .... and have fun
Thanks!
Englkings Dyno
Yes!
If it's making close to that White tractor you will be fine . That tractor is a hoss
True!
ALL OF IT !!!f!
Right!
Avery, can you and Mason do a break down video of the tractors? Frame, engine, trans?
We can do that this winter
I realized after I posted an earlier comment that this was Thunder clutch and by class rules doesn't allow intercoolers.
Yes!
Have you ever considered creating a channel membership?
We just got that but I’m not sure what we would all do with it!
@@NewAgeCustomFarming maybe the outtakes or bonus footage, the inside scoop 😁
4.1 what Liters? Is that a DE stroked B series Cummins? Methanol where are the spark plugs?
4.1 inch turbo diesel
Everything is a secret, I have relatives that run JohnDeere on east coast
True 😂
Caminhão passando trator😂
Just my guess , Somewhere between 1 and 10,000 hp lmao jk😂😂 great video !
More like 26 😂
Did you you eliminate your intercooler? Seems like I saw on a video from last year, there was one. If you did what was your intake air density going into the intake manifold this year compared to last. An engine works on burning pounds of air to pounds of fuel. You may be running higher boost pressure now , but the heat of compression from the turbo lowers the air density. Pounds per cubic feet of air. Running through the intercooler after being compressed by the turbo will increase the air density more pounds per cubic feet of air. Banks engineering (Gale Banks) has done some nice you tube videos on the subject.
The godfather of Diesel and forced induction. Gale Banks has completely changed my mind about engine tuning
I could immediately see Banks fanboy from the beginning of the text. How many championships he has won in classes where there is real competition ? Everyone knows that cold air is denser, Banks just made a number of it.
@@V8Lenny Something wrong with being a Banks fanboy? He’s a genius
@@WingspeedGarage no he is not, everything is basic engine knowledge. He is a businesman though.
@@V8Lenny yes it is basic engine knowledge but it wouldn’t have been without pioneers like Banks. And even if air density is basic there is a lot of engine tuners not considering it
How much,,, ALL OF IT!!!!
Exactly
I don't know anything about racing tractors, only racing cars, but the thing I don't understand is why it doesn't have a built-in radiator for cooling.
then there would be another thing because it doesn't have an engine oil cooling system which on a racing car that subjects the engine to enormous stress is important to avoid ruining the engine.
I would take other measures to avoid damage during the race;
As a driver I would rather lose and finish than lose and still have the car broken due to technical problems.
its more than likely a dry block, meaning they dont run coolant through the motor. the engine and head gets filled with a cement like substance, that way you can run way more boost and rpm without a engine block failure. you fire these up make a 30 second pass then shut them off.
It's 25,000 for a aftermarket block . So most run a dry block with alot of bonus support . Taking a 466 block and turning it into a 640 . Being thin they split . There are videos of them exploding
There is no need to exaggerate in releasing horses so as not to damage anything.
each piece is calibrated for the effort it will have to make so if you want more power you need to have an engine and transmission calibrated for the desired power.
However, no racing car is perfect in every single detail, unfortunately.
you need to try, try, try again to reach perfection this is the real secret that a metalworking engineer should follow if he wants perfection
I don't understand what this has to do with the increase in engine power which is another matter based on the technical construction data, the cooling only serves to avoid the engine melting.
To correct any four-stroke engine on the valves and pistons there is only the lubrication of the engine itself which only serves to reduce the wear of the parts that compose it, the cooling is only around the piston liners.
dry cooling I don't quite understand what you mean because if dry you mean air cooling for an engine is quite a delicate thing because they have temperature changes based on the climatic conditions so to be functional they are functional but there is more risk of causing damage from overheating
@@albertorossi2793 A stock block is rated for 150 hp. 466 cubic inch . Now bore out the block to to 640. You have taken alot of metal out of the block . It pretty thin between sleeves . So you apoxy the water jackets for strength . The compression is alot lower than a gas engine most pulling tractors won't even start without starting fluid . Most pullers won't make 2 passes unless there are 15 or so tractors in the class it gives them time to cool it down with leaf blowers . The first puller in each class has the option to turn it down or if the do a sled reset.
Can the lads talk more ,give more info on what's going on
Some of it’s top secret but we’ll try!
You need to mute the radio 📻 sounds , lol kool dyno thanks BigAl California ,,,praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
Working on it
Get enough to balloon the tires
Right
Four turbo more power
Hahah
and the torque and hp was?
That’s a secret 🤫
@@NewAgeCustomFarming 😁👌🏻🏁
Did the boys go to school for diesel mechanic
Nope
658hp
501
The guys aren't saying much😊
Top secret
Tractor pullers never tell horsepower numbers because their engines never make the power they dreamed it doing.
We don’t want the competitors to know 😂
@@NewAgeCustomFarming knowing your hp numbers doesnt help your competitor at all.
I get a kick out of seeing how much of that is not real tractor. I don't have a problem with that. How much real car is in a NASCAR. My guess is even less.
True!
What are you on about? Looks exactly like my Dads old tracor he used to drive round the orchard , collecting apples really fast.😂😂😂
Horsepower ??
Lots of
Horse power numbers and old girlfriends are two things guys will never discuss!
What?! Those are the 2 things guys will ALWAYS discuss…
