Hot take: Trapp and Rheka killed Katie and are relieved the official cause of death was an accident. They are hesitant to let the details out because that might connect them to the murder. They were at the peperoni festival waiting to strike, but they are each others alibi so they aren't being questioned.

@@Millie-kp7fh not totally sure maybe they had contracts for his live role-playing show or something that prevented his firing. All the other shows they do are recorded in advance, and they had like 6 months worth before they did the mass layoffs.

You know the sadness of this missing person sketch is that much sadder given the state of collegehumor
I get the feeling that the writer for this one wanted to make a literal take on the "R.I.P. in Pepperoni" joke but that alone wasn't good enough, and so he or she brainstormed other ways it could be embarrassing besides the cause of death itself.
the writer is the one with the end card so yes that is tottaly something Katie would do

@@gabrael1989 the company went pretty much entirely bankrupt. Collegehumor now has a crew of like 2-3 people, which is why all they've released is old episodes of Breaking News that had been on dropout already.

Ya'll are so good at making these videos, it took me two watches to realize that the police badge that guy is wearing is foam with a picture of a badge on it.
This might have been written by Katie to smoothly transition her layoff from the company. I'm guessing pretty soon, we'll have more such videos of other members of the staff leaving.
