the fact they didn't give us a corner cabinet is infuriating
With move objects I used the regular cabinet and placed two on top of each other to make a corner cabinet and I couldn't see any visual clipping so I might be doing that in all my kitchens lol
Yeah, I wish we got a normal corner piece as well as the shelf.

Laundry in the kitchen??? European inspired??? Where in Europe do they have the laundry in the kitchen??? I thought that’s just a US thing… never saw this around here, we have them in the bathroom…. Pls tell me if I’m wrong and there are european countries with the laundry in the kitchen…
Edit: ok apparently i was wrong and it is a thing in some countries. I just never was in those countries or the regions where it is common. Thanks for all the comments i learned a lot!
The sims 4 went from “obnoxious furniture” to “CC furniture” im in love❤
I think that refreshing spa day was one of her worst packs to refresh just bc it’s not really an “everyday” pack that people use. If they refreshed something like dine out, a lot more people would’ve bought it

yes especially because they arent louder than the talking, so we can still hear kayla perfectly fine 😄
Kittens galumphing in background is an added bonus! Hope Snap is doing well after her vet visit, wishing her hugs and cuddles. If they wanted to experiment with refreshes they should do it now when there are a bunch of new players since base game became free, as opposed to when they did Spa Day (which was HUGELY popular with everyone who already owned it).

Here in Germany it is not common to have a washing machine in the kitchen too.
im pretty sure they only do that in the UK :) i havent see it in neither poland, germany or the netherlands

I’ve only encountered that literally once in Sweden and that was in an apartment that was just the top floor of a house and out on a farm so there was no like communal laundry and no space to have a washing machine except for the kitchen, because the shower was literally right over the toilet 😹😹😹
Not common in Norway, unless its a very small apartment in the big cities! :)
Ugh not having a real corner cabinet is going to make this set very unusable. I wish we got both!
It doesn't visually clip if you place regular cabinets on top of each other with move objects on to make a corner piece (at least not in the kitchen I made yesterday)
I want them to refresh Bust-the-dust and add a broom for off-the-grid cleaning 😩

As a Scandinavian person I first thought that that wasn’t really a typical scandi house, but then I remembered that on all my walks I have been looking at that EXACT type of window and been annoyed that we can’t really do that in the sims. So yeah, it can definitely be a scandi house! I just don’t really know people who live in the modern style houses. And every time I think “what is a typical Swedish house???” My mind goes to Falu rödfärg 😹😹

With move objects on, you can place a cabinet on top of the dish rack so that it peeks out the bottom, for an actual drying cabinet

I’m using this lot for my latest family. Something I didn’t know is that the pizza oven causes a ton of fires. I had six fires and one death within 20 minutes of playing

One of our old apartments had the washer and dryer in the kitchen, and man was it one of my absolute favorite things! It was soooooo easy to be working on dinner and to swap laundry if it finished or start a load if you needed to.
As a Dane I love that they made a European kitchen set! and seeing you make a Scandinavian inspired a house made me so happy. It’s not really common to have the laundry in the kitchen here tho, at least not in Denmark, i’m not that sure about the other nordic countries or other places in Europe, please enlighten me people in the comments. Also we need more Scandinavian things EA :,))

Poor Snappy's office space has been thoroughly invaded by now! 🙀Has she hissed at the throne once known as hers? Is she still able to relax in there? 😿
Not that I don't love seeing Shrimp and Sunny, but I do worry for Snappy. Youngin's can be tough on older cats and knowing Snap's history with the cats back at your parents' house... I hope she is taking things well.

The washing machines are popular in Europe in kitchens because of saving small places up. Especially in flats, people use washing machines in kitchens cus in flats bathrooms are so tiny that there wouldn't be a space for it. It's more for convenience than looks

To have a washing machine in the kitchen is more of a apartment thing in Europe isn't it?
I live in Norway and here as far as i am aware if you have a house, you don't have the washing machine in the kitchen, usually there is a room for that, close to the bathroom.
Apartments (in Finland at least) have a space in the bathroom for a washing machine😁
@@neppislol Same with the normal sized apartments in Norway as well, but the really small ones in the main cities have a bathroom that is a shower, toilet and sink in a 2x2 sims style size, ISomeone I knew in Oslo had to remove the toilet paper when he was going to shower, or else it got wet, cause it was IN the shower itself XD
The house I live in have the toilet in one room, shower and tub in one and a room for the washer and dryer :D
We have the water heater and 2 freezers in that room as well XD

I'm American but from the PNW where there is a shocking number of people who are descended from Scandinavian fishermen. As as result of all those early immigrants, a lot of older homes in the seaside towns have a very 19th-century Norwegian or Finnish look to them. Ones that are renovated try to keep that vibe for the tourists, and a lot of them end up looking kind of like this! I can therefore conclude that this style probably arose in Northern Europe because they have so many old houses that end up looking like that once they're renovated. Either way, it looks great!
Watching you struggle with this build stressed me so much 😂 I would have just give up😂

I would like to see how James feels about this build. Black and white scandi! But not white! Very pale timber or mint colours! It looks great and I'm jelly I can't build this nicely
I don't wanna ask for too much since you already have to record and edit enough videos to upload 7 days a week, but I would LOVE it if you ended the videos by clipping together all of the shots where the kittens are playing, cus I can't see how cute they are through that tiny little frame😅

Keep the prepped ingredients in the sims inventory or seperate storage box or mini fridge?

To make columns taller i believe its either you press the bracket keys or the bracket keys + shift, i forgot tbh lol also sometimes when you're building the walls or messing with the structure of the house they will go back to default columns. Hope this helps!

This is such a silly complain but I'm SO FRUSTRATED that they added a drawing of a paella in the recipe book when you can't cook paella in game 😭😭😭 it got me so excited over nothing- not to mention the pack is all about italian food and paella is a spanish dish 🫠
I have been running the food table on my lot last night, and I have been getting non-stop brawling between the sims right in front of my table. This would cause my sim to stop attending the table just to watch the fights. On occasion, townie npc's would fight my sim while he was tending the table. This is really preventing me from playing the new content. Anyone else dealing with this?
