The whole background plot line with sarah is killing me. her confessing her feelings after just having a baby with her husband, continuously calling robin, asking her out and showing up to her home. THEN robin gets ENGAGED and sarah calls robin congratulating her, asks if she should have ANOTHER BABY with her husband like some sort of way to try and fix her collapsing marriage then IMMEDIATELY says she's unsatisfied with her inexistent relationship with robin. what a trip i love it😭
I did this challenge a while ago, where I had 2 Sims go start an off the grid farm situation. With 2 adult Sims, it wasn't too hard, but then my sim's partner died while she was pregnant with their 3rd child and so my poor sim was a single parent to a child, toddler, and newborn while tending the garden, repairing the wind turbine, cooking the meals, milking the cow, collecting the eggs, and doing the laundry 😭 It was the first time I was genuinely stressed playing the Sims.
i'm so serious the Scott couples gives insane poly energy, the first time I played Cottage Living my sim got in a throuple with them before that feature even existed
Makes me want to start the legacy with it and pretend it’s the family founders/settlers in the 1800s and be rich old money famous in the “modern” generations 😂
The EcoLifestyle fabrication skill needs to be part of this series. I suggest traveling to Evergreen Harbor for the dumpster diving and for the recycling and fabrication skills. Then you can make almost all the furniture in the house!🏠
I mentioned on the first video, but I love playing off the grid with Simple living. I also use the mods from BrazenLotus. They have a Preserving mod, where you can dry wheat to make flour, yeast, sugar, etc. They also have a mod that will allow you to create logs to use for wood crafting. I love using their mods for this type of playthrough.
Your sim “Justin Guy” (just a guy) is really reminding me of my test sim, “Gene Eric Mann” (generic man) whom I got too attached to and started a whole playthrough with. Two icons, honestly
One thing I do when playing with all this craziness is to make my sim a spell caster but only for scrubaroo spell it helps to keep the cow and lama clean and happy
If it helps, my partner's grandpa had a farm and they never had the farm dog inside, even during the harsh winters in the prairies. She got multiple doghouses outside, each with a comfy bed and a heater to keep her warm. She'd even bark when visitors arrived to let her grandpa know that people were on the grounds, and after he let her know that it was okay, she'd come over and ask for pets.
I was waiting for part two! Love this series, makes me want to play that way in the Sims, I just don't know as many tricks as you do to make it work more efficiently
Maybe starting a club with Justin would help because you could set household tasks and gardening. Anytime the sims are home you can start a gathering and have them autonomously work on skills or clean up
I'm sure someone's already done it but it would be cool to have a let's play of someone like Rapunzel/Snow White/Sleeping Beauty where you are restricted to your location and have to live off only your lot/neighborhood. You have to avoid people, be completely off the grid and have simple living. For relationships, you have to rely on people visiting your lot for potential relationship prospects. If you have cottage living you could talk to the birds, etc. since many of them get helped by wildlife.
Cats and Dogs will go in to the P-bush , sometimes obsessively, and "battle" other animals . The Feather pile and notification of the cat being sprayed by a skunk indicate that's what happened around 7:25 & 8:10 timestamps. I have ended up putting fences around the bush (leaving the Right Side of the directional arrows on bush at least one grid tile away as thats the side sims access it on) I set the gate to Deny access to All Pets as I usually have the "Anything Goes Party Bush" on lot's. The Pets can need a pricey Vet Visit after altercations in the Shrubbery , it's best to block them from it unless you like the hassle.
Anyone else remember lilsimsie’s original off-the-grid let’s-play from years and years ago? She had a cottage in the outdoor retreat world and the series just stopped. So glad she started a new one!

Now you have the Bees you dont need the Soy wax, you can use Bees wax to make the candles, just getting the Bits is the hard part. and if you raise the Roof Turbines up onto a tall column it will look like a wind farm and not so big on your roof, that way you can just put them at the back of the lot
If you use a regular trash can and put plates in it you can rummage for bits and pieces with every item you throw away. You get about 10-15 per time. Easier than a recycler!

The pee bushes are so obnoxious if you have pets. They’re constantly getting sprayed by skunks and bitten by squirrels.
