Good morning, I have a jjrc q39 highlander 1:12 4wd rc but the reverse gear does not work. I don't know if I have to link the remote with the car or how to do it. Can you help me to solve the problem of the reverse gear?

Mine ran well for about 10 runs and then the reverse quit. I haven't been able to find a replacement ESC/Rx for it yet. I am hoping a new ESC/Rx will fix the reverse problem. I tried the FY03 ESC/Rx but even though they have the exact same part # (FY-RX01), the FY03 ESC/Rx is black and won't bind with my JJRC Q39 Tx. I have ordered a new FY-RX01 in the grey or silver color and hope it will bind. There is a video here on YT about the Q39 lacking bearings on all 4 wheels. It has bushings, not bearings. The LEDs do not light up. If you want lights, do not plug a lighting system directly into one of the 2 spare plugs on the ESC/Rx. They are the same voltage as your 2S battery and will burn up a system unless it can handle 8.4V. Use a DC to DC stepdown converter to 5V.
But can you control it going straight , wide open ? It seems , they make many of these cars to go really fast, but you can't control them going straight. I'm New tothis hobby and don't even have one of these yet, but I don't want one I can't control by simply going in a line.
