      @@mattkinsella9856 : If these people go back to Rwanda.. and that there is a subsidy.. cos housing is finished. Then can they not farm as well, and then send us back the money, and then they get a savings account to hold that money ? Isn't this how the ex-commonwealth countries WERE built on before ! Yes, it WAS !!! The problem that went wrong with the past, is not the idea of a Commonwealth but because the commonwealth areas and regions ended up being invaded. That is what literally happened. All except the ones that were islands.. and was not easily attacked. All the lands ones, have been absorbed, or attacked by the masses... and this is where we are at now. Literally. To think that, people... like traders that traded TEA LEAVES... were killed.... over TEA Leaves ! Back in the day. And a lot of social media happens now.. But how many people, literally ever thought to themselves..... "Actually, somebody in the USA defended my tea leaves, and this is how I got my pay and my salary".... Grown men, fighting one another, over tea leaves, and killed one another over this, and they died. How many commonwealthers literally think about it like that today ?
      Meanwhile, China is doing a bank run.. lol.... Well... There comes a time whereby one does not care any more. Let the world be, the way it would be. Even if you leave a country, come back, it's changed already.. and not what is said.. or whatever... My mom left HK in her 20s.. I went back and it was a metropolis already. And now, 40 years on, it is a concrete jungle just like NYC. Nobody cares, and certainly nobody gives a damn... And the usual thing too. The coolie/slaves or labourers on the ships. The ships have gone... and these individuals just want to stay. Nobody has told them anything, they never got to learn to speak the lingo. Nobody ever told them what's happened to their companies.. and what... and why... They still live in NGOs... and do not know what to do. Even the USA has actually removed the conditions in some of their supplies from reaching those ports.. They still do not know what to do. I am glad that I stayed in the UK and not went to find my fortune in Europe.. Cos I too would've been stranded back there too. Cos we were growing as a country, as a block.... and as usually.... once bitten, twice shy. Once cheated... not again.
      It is also strange for me to realise that.. a lot of people in the UK were also once upon a time... Europeans as well.. and then when war broke out, they fled their country. So then, they never did rebuild back their countries either. Cos I didn't know that was what truly went on either. That is still a surprising thing for me to find out, and about. No wonder there were a lot of people who wanted to tap into the actual HK network... Cos they saw them as allies, didn't they ? Back then...

    Any law that can not, by its definition, be applied to all of the citizens of a country, should be unlawful. For those thinking that if they don't do anything bad as Ms Begum then they are ok. Well, the law states that if there is suspicion that you have done anything that is against the interests of the UK, then you will find yourself caught in the net. I really dont know how this bill was passed into a law.

    • @luisfer9361
      @luisfer9361 2 года назад +15

      Yeah, I think the point here is not whether British fighters in the middle East are good or bad or whether they might deserve this or not. The point here being that this law opens the path to political deportations that can be effected based only on, as you mentioned, "suspicions" and not on thorough investigation and established processes and institutions (like the justice system). If you start solving structural problems such as crime and anti social behaviour (leading to terrorism) through deportations you'll end up with an Orwellian police state. Have you seen children of men?

    • @MeiinUK
      @MeiinUK 2 года назад +3

      I think the issue is coming back round in full face because, there did not used to be this "international entity" for one. And because people, or basically groups of people joined.. and realised that this is a possibilities.. then this is just... It causes chaos. To me.. I see the UK with its commonwealth system. This was enough, "as it is"... And we were not part of the EU back then, and so some of the human rights laws, did not overlap. Cos the UK had its own robust laws, to let people in, OR out of the UK in term of the Commonwealth. I know, cos my parents fell into this category. SO... when we, or if I did decided to go back home, so how come, the British companies did not hire people like myself, back to say in my commonwealth countries to begin with ? In HK ? Cos it should've been so.. but I was refused this kind of thing.. and so then.. when the money, or those banking sectors were basically ruined, destroyed and basically forced to bank run. And lose its money. What exactly did people expected ??? And now.. here we are.... Back to a kind of square one situation. And yet, when most of us, would not dare to have kids, and would think twice, and just abort or something. Here we are... many people have had kids... and the population is now reaching a whopping 7 billion. Even the Indonesian area.. alone... has reached like a mega whopping doubled their population under the last 40 years. UK cannot sustain this... Europe knows.. It was because of the infighting of the past, which led the exploration of new land, wasn't it ? Which created the America that we know of today. "The New World"....

The UK is populated mostly by people whose ancestors came over from Scandinavia, Germany and France. Only if you have Celtic ancestry can you call yourself indigenous to the British Isles.

    Can British indigenous peoples fill in 6 million jobs openings if 4 million skilled workers choose to return to their ancestral homes after loosing their rights to stay here or having their citizenship revoked? Immigrants do majority of jobs British peoples don’t want to do. Why try to collapse a system that works well? Most affected people would not be able to produce papers to the Home Office after becoming citizens which means they would be forcefully deported eventually like they did to the Caribbean wind rush people. Iran will permanently jail Iranian people who used to be British citizens as spies and traitors if they ever set foot on Iranian soil after loosing their British citizenship if they were ever affected by these proposals. Would that not violate international human rights to send peoples to permanent captivity or possible death? I don’t think that Tory descendant of an immigrant at the head of the home office have it in her to revoke 6 million citizens of their rights. History will never forget her if that happens. What is the main reasons for doing this now? Targeting Muslims? They don’t have the balls to do that. Stealing jobs to create jobs? Nope. They struggled badly to find simple lorry drivers. To sack 500,000 nurses, care and support workers and doctors then deport them? Doesn’t make any sense to me. You can’t train that many workers in one year. Maybe this plan is fake news? Hopefully? Confused about why the Tory party will want to use this power now? 🤔

Further, thoae this legliation is used against, will have very little say in the matter, weaher the findings agaisnt people are justified or not. A good example of this are people who re placed on the 'no fly list' in the US who are totally innocent yet powerless to protest. That all been said, however, in my humble opinion, there are some people who do indeed warrant being stripped of citizenship and should be removed from the UK, a good example being those abhorrent individuals from ethnic origins who were behind the sexual abuse of young girls in Northern cities of England and those that pose a serious risk to National Security.

    One thing that has not been mentioned in all of this? Where does this leave British born black and brown sportsmen and women? If they are representing their home countries (England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland. I'm thinking about footballers in particular), and they suddenly lose their citizenship?
    Well you can see where this is going to go.
    There would be absolute uproar and mayhem. With not being able to represent their home countries because the Home Office deemed that they did something 'wrong'?
    The football associations would clearly have a case against the Home Office. But if the Home Office (and Patel in particular), are determined to see this through, I would be very interested to see how this pans out.
    Can you just imagine how that would go down if managers could not pick their best players because of this Bill?
    Patel has clearly lost the plot, and has not thought this through. Does anyone honestly believe that the Tories would bring out such a Bill if they were facing a general election in a month's time? No chance. It would go down like a lead balloon. And the Tories would be hurled from power.
    But they have sneaked this in now, knowing full well that they don't face an election for a couple of years yet.

It’s one thing to say that it’s too easy for the Home Sec to remove someone’s citizenship, but to suggest that however many thousand are ‘eligible to have their citizenship removed’ omits the fact that they would have to do something very extreme (like moving to Syria to join ISIS) for the Home Sec to believe it is in the public interest. Home sec’s are quite busy and don’t just go around removing the citizenship of people they don’t like.
