Edit: I just watched it, was the first video that played on your site! Good to see it works for a whole lot of hair too, I had questions regarding weight. :) I included a link to the original pic I posted on my website and forum in 2008 under "more info", that was my first go at this easy bun.
Its the same principle pretty much, you twist and then pin the twist with the hair fork (that might take some practice) Then wrap the ends around and secure the whole thing. :) For accessories check out etsy!
Thank you :) medieval maiden sound great. Yes my hair is naturally a very dark brown..its def. a brown but in certain light it looks close to black. In my newest vieo you can see my 4" roots. There is different hennas out there, some cooler, some warmer, some more potent. I used to order BAQ henna at mehandi. You can henna again after a few days to intensify the color...thats fine for the beginning. Later on you probably won't need that anymore.
Thank you! That hair slide is perfect for a half up also since its sort of wide. :) I know most of Hikkis songs, the deep river album was a great one too.
Thank you, I don't speak any spanish cause I'm primarily German/Japanese, the other parts are way in the past of my familiys history, before my grandparents pretty much, so I best speak German, then English, than Japanese (really juts a bit) and some french I picked up in school. I would like to learn spanish though. I do understand it a bit (frequent visits to Spain as a kid)
@DieSushiBitch It was hard to tell how long your hair was in your tutorial, but it was clearly shorter and of a very different texture. No need to explain, I think people can figure out the differences of our hair for making the buns. I like your shiny, fine hair. I have seen it many times at LHC. I have been there 5 years now.
I have to check out your tutorial then! :) I think most people with long hair come across that style idea once their hair gets way to long for just twisting it up. At least a bunch of long hairs in my forum found out like that.
Thank you for no linking. My hairtype is 1a/M/ii atm. But friction, cohesion and stiffness also play a big part when It comes to updos. This bun should work for anyone though...its just "clip and wrap". I have been on LHC since '05 too, so I might see you there! :)
oh my god..you are beautiful. like some medieval maiden. : ) is your hair naturally a really dark brown? Mine is and I'm just beginning henna. The first application didn't make a huge difference, but my friends noticed it was warmer. I hope to achieve your colour..it's just what I want! Also, is it ok to apply henna often? Like if I applied it last night, can I apply it two nights from now again?
@DieSushiBitch I like your tutorial. Good that it works for us both although we are very different lengths. I had never seen anyone else with this style before I made my clip bun tutorial. I will link you in my sidebar for those with shorter hair.
Well, now you have seen that it was 'in style' a year before :) (guess Germany is fashion forward^^) if you want I can email you the original pics and forum sections from back then. I will have to decline the offer of being linked...I'm trying to keep my channel rather small and private and appeal to a slightly different group of viewers, thank you though.
Actually, especially thick hair can be held up well, you just need to learn how. Try the celtic bun for example. Hair styles can hurt at almost any thickness...7cm or 10cm does hardly matter if you place the tools badly. I had to learn to make styles without the pulling. Average thickness is 7cm/2.7", maybe the stylist is wrong and you are more around the 4-5" which still can be managed without a problem, even better when longer. Good Luck!
+Christine Reilly I hope I can be more active once I get my old netbook fixed. Editing videos will still be hard though since a netbook is too slow for that. If you half your hair length you can do longhair styles sooner. Meaning stle the top half and then wrap the bottom half around if that makes sense ;)
It is not that much difference to make the bun with upper thigh length than compared to knee length, you have just more to wrap. You can note that in your tutorial that more length just means more wrapping in case you want to make short haired ladies understand it better! Thanks for watching, Emi

hi are you on the long hair community?.. I thought I seen you there...I'm a member there too=)
+Christine Reilly Have been since 2005 but it is hard to participate without a computer :(
great idea to do that with slides!
+everydayglamorous Thanks :)
I like the song of your video...but I don't know the name, I don't think it's Utada's
It sounds like a Latino song -.-
RUclips removed Utada Hikaru's song a few years ago due to copyright problems. I had to chose from their music.
Thùy Linh An old song from Spain, "son of the moon" -> hijo de la luna.
Thank you! I love this song too...especially the French version ^^
I think jjj is coping the hair tutorials from you.
a) weil man dann schoener Musik hoeren kann.
b) weil ich so besser die 2 Sprachen jonglieren kann.
c) weil ich ne ganz doofe Stimme habe
^^

RUclips blocked this video worldwide, so I had to change the music to a RUclips song! Now it is back up :)
@brownsuga1212 thanks :)
