Very good overview and comparison of these 2 RCs. I do agree the 2995 is amazing! The chassis and driveline are bulletproof like you say. I have a brushless setup with the same large tires and have never broken one part!! Keep up the cool videos!!
Awesome comparison dude, thanks! I have had my 2995 for over a year now and still love it! She is very nimble and like you said, has a bulletproof drive train. I also just bought the 2995. Really great buy. I also did a brushless setup and along with an upgraded serveo i got rid of the servo saver horn and just went with a basic aluminum horn. You are correct with the drive train. I can do standing back flips on concrete with 3s. I didnt change out the shocks, i exchanged it 70 weight oil and it was a dream. and great review.
Man this is exactly what I was hoping for. I recently decided to build my son a dirt track at the house. We are new to year hobby and this is going to be his Christmas present. I picked the 2295 up on an Amazon sale for just over $100. I'm waiting to pick up the 901a closer to the holidays. I think these two will get us going. Thanks man!
I think so too. When you’re ready, don’t forget about the coupon I have with my link. Also, keep in mind shipping from Banggood can take some time. Glad you liked the video!!
@@DerbyCityRC awesome! I'll check the link in your 2995 vids. Also bezgar has a similar buggy on sale for $89 regular $200 "Amazon". It's the HB101. Looks unbelievably underpriced. Let me know what you think.
Those are decent cars. It’s the same thing as the Deerc 9201e, but with a different body. I have a video on that one too from a couple months ago. Not bad!
Some really interesting differences I didn’t know between the two cars, in addition to the obvious centre diff. Have the same esc issue, but happened by using only 2s. We will see, if that happen again. Thanks for all the good video content!!!
Wow! Hopefully no more issues!!
You’re welcome, glad you like it!
mate can you please verify that the metal front cvd shaft from the 901 fits the 2995? as i broke mine on the fc610, and as i cannot find it, please check if i can use the one from the 901a.PLEASE!(you said they are longer on 2995 but if..)
Ya they don’t work unfortunately.
Grab one for the 2995 from Haiboxing-hobby.com
👍👍
I just ordered ! i dont know if it is a trusted site though but I payed through PayPal at least!
Thanks a lot mate..
( I will have to sell it cause i believe i will have hard times with the spares here in Greece..hello arrma granite!😉😉)
Which one did you get?
Are you able to order from Haiboxing-hobby.com?
Parts for the 901s are also on sites like Pxtoysrc.com.
Last I checked they didn’t have parts for the 2995.
@@DerbyCityRC yes mate! everything is ok!they also answered my questions!i am waiting for the part to sold it asap( i have bought the tyres from your video also!and i will sell them also as the Vorteks has 14mm hex wheels..)
Thanks a lot mate!
Salut j'adore cette vidéo car ce sont deux voitures très solides et très fun !
J'ai une petite question rien à voir avec la vidéo, ton système d'accroche au mur pour les voitures ça ne les abimes pas ?
Thanks! Ya I’ve wanted to do this comparison for a while. It shouldn’t hurt them hanging like that. Hooks mounted under both front control arms. Prevents flat spots on tires too.
@@DerbyCityRC oui c'est pas mal ça évite d'abîmer les pneus c'est une bonne idée ! Je ne sais pas comment stocker les miennes, je commence à en avoir de plus en plus et l'étagère va être trop petite :(
Yes I ran into the same problem lol. Still don’t have enough room for all of them. But looks like we finally have a new house to go to, so once I get it set up, I should have more room 👍
You say at F540motor 3500 or 3900 KV
The one I have to put in my fc610 is a 4000kv I believe
F540 fit hbx models
What scale are they
Both 1/12
That will be the most efficient setup
Top video ..did you notice on the 2995/610 the ESC itself has some weight to it I was like it's as weighty as hobbwing bl60 lmao makes a wltoys 45amp seen like a piece of paper lmao 😂😂😂..... I don't mean to brag or nothing but I got 17mph out my flyhal out the box :p haha 😂 I stuck in a 3660 3500kv on a sc8 and 16t pinion and so far only tested it once and hit 46mph on 2s but I think if I go to 4s it's a 60mph beast lmao 😂
Ya I did notice that lol. Also yes since the Flyhal has bigger wheels, it is a bit faster. I think mine did 17 also when I did my fc610 review video. I should have mentioned that. Good point! And I believe my Hobbywing Max10 pulled 46 on my 2995 with those big tires also. Can’t remember for sure so didn’t want to over sell it lol. That’s with a 3300kv
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the info on the using thicker oil in the center diff I put some 50k in as highest I got and dam she handles alot better for some reason
Still doesn’t wheelie too easily?
I haven’t decided what I want to try in there yet.
@@DerbyCityRC mine will do a standing back flip from a standstill on a high punch but will not land lol 😂...Ive kept the stock shocks on for now but put in 1000cst 100wt oil and it don't sponge into what side you are turning ....I am happy with this 3660 3500kv but am tempted to try a 4300kv 3650 size
Ya my upgraded 2995 will do somewhat of a standing backflip too. I haven’t done anything to the center diff yet lol
Thanks for all those links and I can't wait for that flyhal video thanks for sharing as always great video 👍💯
You’re welcome! Thanks! Getting the Flyhal vid done asap!! 😅
Toss in the 16889apro with this comparison and I'll likely just buy all 3 lol
Lol well I already have a video comparing the 16889a pro to the 901a!! 🤣
I have 16889a Pro, and it's every bit amazing, as you would expect
It sure is!!
Does the swing arm on 2995 interchangeable to the 16889 pro?
@@bossamo1373 I have the Pro and Flyhal, and as far as I can see, NO, thicker pins and diferent length of the same
Fc610 3900kv 17t 40mph 2s sweet
I’m sure! I’ll be getting a 17t for mine. I currently do have a 3900kv in it.
Try gorilla glue original on broken parts but remember it expands
Good tip, thanks!
I have never bought anything from banggood is it hard or worth it 👌
Definitely worth it. They have a great selection of budget cars.
You can use PayPal for secure payments.
I’ve ordered many things from them.
Do you have anything thats not broken bro ??? 👀
Haha yes. I end up repairing the broken ones eventually anyway 🤣
@@DerbyCityRChaha yeah I know bro✌, I'm just amazed at how many broken cars I see in one place lmao 😂👍, but you do ride the holy crap outta them so it's understandable, but it does show us how good or bad these cars are before we go n waist money on junk or somthing we never wanted, I just feel for your pocket because it must be costly but at least ur getting the fun outta it and that's what it's about right 👍, Haiboxing realy surprised me with its durable quality for the buck and its guys like you and Kev who realy bring these things to light by pushing these cars to there limits and sharing it, great watching ur videos and they help many ppl I'm sure thanks bro ✌
haha I have those monster truck wheels @ 1:32 there on my zd racing rig picked them up for 26-27£ uk from ebay
Ya they are great tires and super cheap!
@@DerbyCityRC lol my rig also just ate it's front diff on my third now as well the spares for mine do come in 2's so at least the next time it brakes I can fix it
Lol seems to be a common thing when no center diff is present lol!
This video makes me happy that I sold my 901 and now have 2995 & fc610
Id be happy too 😄 but I also plan on trying to make the 901a go 100mph first 🤣🤣 Not very confident but will be fun to try
@@DerbyCityRC 7000KV? my 901 drive spur lost some teeth when I had a tiny 2445 5400KV using the 2.3mm 14T hbx steel pinion. the surpass hobby pinions didn't last long with the higher kv motors, good luck
No I’m gonna use the motor from my cheetah and a large pinion, but I haven’t done any test fitting yet or anything. No logical thinking of any kind really lol. If the spur broke that easy it may be a short test lol
@@DerbyCityRC good thinking, at least the motor mounts are easy to drill out for a larger pinion can't wait to see he final outcome and that discount brushless fc610 vid
Ya it seems the way they have the motor setting on top of the driveline will be easier to make adapters for for the larger motor👍👍. I’m excited for the fc610. I’m actually about to start filming that right now
I love this guy but I think he gave me anxiety on this video 🤯
Thanks! 🤣 why is that? Lol
Hey Evan! I really need ur help lol I’ve recently seen a video where you mention that one of the most common problemas that you had with hbx was the fact that the drive cup of the diffs broke and that it was easy to tell because one tire spin and the other doesn’t, we’ll it seems like I’m in the same spot with my 16889a pro but I can’t seem to find for the love of god the spares that I would need to fix it, could you please please help me brother? 🥲😓
I really don’t know if this is the video that you mention that since I have seen a lot of ur videos lately lol but I figure that I have a bettter shot of you responding at me if I comment in ur latest video! Hope it works
Hey I always try to respond no matter which video 👍👍 so can you tell what’s broken? The most common breakage in my 16889a pro is the wheel pin inside the plastic hex behind the wheel nut. Have you been able to confirm the actual issue?
@@DerbyCityRC hey man! Thanks for replying 🙌🏻🙌🏻 one drive cup of the rear differential moves a lot more than it should and it can spin without making the other one spin, I opened the diff and one spider gear was chewed and so I replaced it but it still does it, I’m trying to figure out how to take it off thou (the drive cup) lol thanks a lot for ur help man, I’m just about 10 months into the hobby and I have watched ur channel since the beginning of it lol love ur vids bro 💪🏻
There is a very small allen screw in the side of the diff housing you need to remove so you can get the drive cup pin out.
That’s great to hear!! Much appreciated!
How fast is the stock motor on 3s?
