Well duh of course you can go faster with skills and companion buffs. When you mention Fudgemuppet's 'top speed' of 180, he's talking about the engines that give 180, which you didn't use. You used top speed of 150 instead. Now try the 180's plus all of those skill etc.
I actually get max speed 280…that’s with a TWO! I modded my Razorleaf so I get the Spacer/Mantis intimidation thing too. I run 4 White Dwarfs and max out my cargo and habs so I have around 1500 cargo. I run AIO + LQ + CQ + CS habs. I have Sam and Sarah and Barrett. I’m L4 pilot, L4 Ship design, L4 engines…I think that’s all the relevant stuff. But yeah, 280 max speed and over a thousand once boost is applied. I only run 4 PB weapons and a EM to knock out engines so I can dock and pirate. I think of my ship as a gun running pirate. I’ll steal your ships, grab your contraband, sell your food trays and egmund desk assistants and strip your ship to the bones and then register and sell it. I also run a pair of ballast shielded cargos and a frequency scanner :)
Don't pay much attention to these neg comments Sir Critical, I found your guide quite interesting and helpful. I built both of my ships using your guide. As with most guides, a person doesn't need to follow them precisely, in order to obtain satisfactory results. Honor, Salud!
not a very practical ship is it as you need cargo no mater what on this game!! collecting and selling is so easy important to make money who cares for the fastest ship when you have a versatile ship that can do everything! but that is only my opinion!
no its not bugged, it just requires experimental research perk, you can only mount 4, and other stats are so so all that is a tradeoff for a higher top speed.

you were supposed to use the 3015 cus it has a top speed of 180, not because of a higher thrust.

Ummmm I’m hitting top speeds of 1300 with a 1200 mass razor leaf with 1600 shields
The reason A’s are the faster is because they lack hull (hp)
I take it the fastest has to be a class A
Speed is deternined by the class of the engine, not by the class of the ship.

Does Sam give a extra 100 top speed? If you remove sam wouldnt the top speed be in the 800s?
In my game the R3000 Alpha Grav Drive only shows a jump range of 25 LY. I had to go to the 4000 to get 30.
