Quiet it doesn’t sound quiet & mine sounds like a 747 taking off when it starts up & switches off & every time you make a cup of coffee. My friends Breville is quieter. My husband & son work shifts & can not use it while they are asleep during the day because of the noise & mines only 3 months old.

It’s kind of hard to determine if the sound you’re hearing is normal or not if I can’t hear it. But it does make a noise when I turn it on and off. Listen to the sound in my video so you can get an idea. Hope this helps

Hmmm? The only thing I can think of is cleaning the components of the milk bottle and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, maybe it’s the kind of milk you’re using. And if that doesn’t work, then you might need to call customer service. Hope this helps.
Hey mate, I have the same machine and we love it. Just wondering if mine has a leak on the small red condensation tray inside the main tray. We catch the water (with another mug) when the machine is doing self clean but we are still getting a lot of water on the drip tray regardless. Not sure if it is normal. Thanks
My old machine is being replaced by this one due to a failure (free upgrade woohoo). My only concern is I have a very nice SAGE burr grinder, I don't really need the machine to grind my beans. Can I go straight ground beans into the machine?

Thanks, Lam lam! The 3 bean buttons are your choice of the coffee aroma. Like if you want a strong coffee aroma, you select the button that has the biggest bean. But if you want a mild aroma, you choose the smallest. I’m not sure about the x2 button. What I know is that it allows you to regulate the temperature of the water.

@@DaporotiYat yes, it always “flush” its pipes first. You don’t HAVE TO leave a mug under the spout because there’s the water catcher basin is there. But I just think it’s a good idea to avoid overflow.
I don’t know much about other coffee machines as this is only model I’ve ever owned that has milk options. I think this one has a good range of milk-based selection though.
A lot of people have asked me this question and I’m really not sure why this happens. Sometimes, I just push the bottle in to make a more snug seal and that does the trick

Same with mine. There’s a couple of things that you can do. You can do an espresso first and then press the coffee button. I like doing this cause it gives me a stronger coffee. You can also simply do 2 coffees for one cup
I am hesitating between this model and the version without automatic LatteCrema. I always drink coffee with milk. Do you think the LatteCrema system is worth paying the extra price for this version? Hi Ibon. If you say that you always drink coffee with milk, then I think it’s worth paying the extra price for the LatteCrema system. It really does save you time and effort. And yes, you can store it in the fridge when you are not using it. Just make sure to give it a nice rinse regularly. Hope this helps.

Hi Anthony. The bean grinder is set at 5 in mine. But I think this depends on preference. Play around with the dial and see which one works best for you. To adjust the water/milk to bean ratio, do the following: 1) put a cup underneath the spout 2) hold-press on the coffee/milk-based coffee button until its blinking 3) allow it to pour water/milk up to a level on your cup that you desire 4) then press the coffee/milk-based coffee button again This should save the settings for that option. hi i got this machine and i’m using pre grounded coffee and when i try to make it coffee ends up at the trey under and barely and coffee coming into milk do i need to adjust the strength settings inside to 5/6? thank you
If it’s preground, adjusting the strength setting won’t do anything because it’s for when you use beans. Did you turn on the machine before you put the ground coffee in?
Help please! I just bought this coffee machine and it won’t recognise the filter. I tried several times and I still get the red notification thar I need to change the filter. Is there anything else that I can do?
You’re talking about the water filter, right? I’m not sure why that is. My machine does not have that kind of functionality. It doesn’t try to identify the filter. As long as the water filter fits in the slot of the water tank, then that’s okay. You might have to call customer service for that.

Kind of a tricky question because it depends on the drink and the cup you’re using 😅. But you can adjust the water level though. I actually have a video on how to make adjustments to the drinks
One question if you don’t mind. After making a coffee does the machine make a dripping sound within the machine for a while after finishing? I believe it’s an internal flush and it goes into the drip tray but I’d say after every 3/4 coffees I have to empty the tray. Is this the same experience for you? Delonghi support think it’s normal but would like another opinion. Thanks 😁
Hmmm? It does make a flushing sound afterwards, but only for a very brief period. But I don’t think it goes into the drip tray, at least not in my experience. I only need to empty the tray when I empty the pulp.
The rinsing water goes into the drip tray which you can empty after several uses but you can use a cup when rinsing. It doesn't keep dripping if that's what your asking. Nothing to worry about.

In my experience, yes. I always put a cup underneath the spout when I turn on/off the machine or flush the milk frother, but everytime I empty the drip tray, when I’m emptying the pulp, there’s seems to be water in it. However, I’ve seen my wife not put a cup underneath the spout when she turns it on/off. So maybe that’s because of her. I might need to do a little bit of experimentation so I can get back to you with a definitive answer, @Dan Bambridge.

My experience is that the grinder you have doesn't make an even grain. I assume the Magnifia has a burr grinder.

Hi, I installed the filter in the same way as you, but the last time you press the "milk frother icon" button, the indicator light of this button and the red one with the filter flashes and nothing happens and water should fly. only when I press the milk frother once more does the water start to flow. Can I be sure the filter is installed?
Hi KarolKa. Unfortunately, there’s no indicator that will let you know that the filter is properly installed. You just have to make sure that when you put on the filter, it snaps on securely and it doesn’t wobble around when you move the water tank. Hope this helps.

Have you been able to adjust froth levels on the machine? And adjust milk temp? I bought machine 2 weeks ago and that would be my only complaint. Wondering if the above 2 are adjustable
Did you turn on the machine first and allow it finish it’s initial flush? You need to do this before putting in the coffee. Also, did you press the ground coffee icon? Make sure that you press it before you make your coffee selection.

weird how Delonghi changes teh button options by region, each model for different countries has a different button layout, not just picture and name but different function. e.g. the u.s. models have 'Over Ice' and no Doppio+, and a 'latte macchiatto' button instad of the foamed milk button that does both the froam milk and the espresso. there's a couple of other quirks too
Hi Gabe, great presentation. I've save a couple of your other videos. I got my Magnifica Evo today. I went through the setup steps, got to installing the water filter, but instead of the filter indicator blinking, I got the "descaler required" indicator blinking light along with the "general alarm" indicator. I pressed the descale cycle button because it was the only button lit, (the first bean button is lit too) I get a continuous clicked sound. I will be calling Delonghi service # tomorrow, but thought maybe you can shed on light on my problem. Thank you.

Hi Sara. Sorry for the delayed response. Been on holidays. I meant to say my mill level is at 5, the default. If you want a creamier coffee, then you have to set it towards level 1. And yes, you have to make sure you adjust it while you're making coffee and not when the machine is idle or turned off. Did something bad happen when you adjusted it?
I noticed in your video, when you making latte, the machine just put one shot of coffee and stops. My machine keeps going, and put a lot of water as well, at the end it looks like just clean water. Latte taste horrible and very watery. Is there a setting for it, or a faulty machine ?

I’ve had mine about 2months, great video btw. It’s slightly different - must be a UK version, mine has an option for latte machiato. My wife has messed with the espresso measurement, it now does a huge cup instead of a shot, any idea how to change it back to a single?!

I do notice some water in the tray even if we put a mug underneath the spouts. So maybe it’s normal? Hope this helps

I recommend removing and putting it back in the fridge. You don’t want to drink coffee with milk that has gone bad.

can you just leave the machine on for the whole day? Or do you turn it off after making your drink?
It has an auto-off function. So it will turn off by itself even if you don’t manually turn it off after making a drink. Hope this helps.

I think there are several versions of the Magnifica Evo. Mind doesn’t have a button that’s specific to coffee over ice.

I don’t think you can adjust the foaminess of the milk.
With regards to the latte, you always have to press twice each time.

hi i got this machine and i’m using pre grounded coffee and when i try to make it coffee ends up at the trey under and barely and coffee coming into milk do i need to adjust the strength settings inside to 5/6? thank you
If it’s preground, adjusting the strength setting won’t do anything because it’s for when you use beans. Did you turn on the machine before you put the ground coffee in?

Help please! I just bought this coffee machine and it won’t recognise the filter. I tried several times and I still get the red notification thar I need to change the filter. Is there anything else that I can do?
You’re talking about the water filter, right? I’m not sure why that is. My machine does not have that kind of functionality. It doesn’t try to identify the filter. As long as the water filter fits in the slot of the water tank, then that’s okay. You might have to call customer service for that.

Hi, What’s the reference of the Delonghi? On your panel you have the doppio +, but the all the delonghi i found are with the long coffee instead of doppio+.

I haven’t tried soy milk but I use plant-based milk all the time like oat and almond and they come out very good!

Hmmm? I’d say so. Yeah. It’s a bit loud. You should be able to find a moment in the video where you can hear the machine grinding the coffee

Kind of a tricky question because it depends on the drink and the cup you’re using 😅. But you can adjust the water level though. I actually have a video on how to make adjustments to the drinks

One question if you don’t mind. After making a coffee does the machine make a dripping sound within the machine for a while after finishing? I believe it’s an internal flush and it goes into the drip tray but I’d say after every 3/4 coffees I have to empty the tray. Is this the same experience for you? Delonghi support think it’s normal but would like another opinion. Thanks 😁
Hmmm? It does make a flushing sound afterwards, but only for a very brief period. But I don’t think it goes into the drip tray, at least not in my experience. I only need to empty the tray when I empty the pulp.
The rinsing water goes into the drip tray which you can empty after several uses but you can use a cup when rinsing. It doesn't keep dripping if that's what your asking. Nothing to worry about.

In my experience, yes. I always put a cup underneath the spout when I turn on/off the machine or flush the milk frother, but everytime I empty the drip tray, when I’m emptying the pulp, there’s seems to be water in it. However, I’ve seen my wife not put a cup underneath the spout when she turns it on/off. So maybe that’s because of her. I might need to do a little bit of experimentation so I can get back to you with a definitive answer, @Dan Bambridge.

Hi Bonnkaa! Unfortunately not. There’s no flat white option. And I don’t think you can adjust the thickness level of the foamed milk.
Ordered one today from Amazon Spain, in tomorrow. I'm an IT person working from home and drink a lot of coffee! I ordered Lavazza beans with it. How does it compare with your older coffee maker? My experience is that the grinder you have doesn't make an even grain. I assume the Magnifia has a burr grinder.
I’m not sure if it’s a burr grinder. All I know is that you can adjust the coarseness of the beans with the Magnifica Evo

Hi, I installed the filter in the same way as you, but the last time you press the "milk frother icon" button, the indicator light of this button and the red one with the filter flashes and nothing happens and water should fly. only when I press the milk frother once more does the water start to flow. Can I be sure the filter is installed?
Hi KarolKa. Unfortunately, there’s no indicator that will let you know that the filter is properly installed. You just have to make sure that when you put on the filter, it snaps on securely and it doesn’t wobble around when you move the water tank. Hope this helps.

Did you turn on the machine first and allow it finish it’s initial flush? You need to do this before putting in the coffee. Also, did you press the ground coffee icon? Make sure that you press it before you make your coffee selection.

weird how Delonghi changes teh button options by region, each model for different countries has a different button layout, not just picture and name but different function. e.g. the u.s. models have 'Over Ice' and no Doppio+, and a 'latte macchiatto' button instad of the foamed milk button that does both the froam milk and the espresso. there's a couple of other quirks too

Hi Gabe, great presentation. I've save a couple of your other videos. I got my Magnifica Evo today. I went through the setup steps, got to installing the water filter, but instead of the filter indicator blinking, I got the "descaler required" indicator blinking light along with the "general alarm" indicator. I pressed the descale cycle button because it was the only button lit, (the first bean button is lit too) I get a continuous clicked sound. I will be calling Delonghi service # tomorrow, but thought maybe you can shed on light on my problem. Thank you.

Hi Sara. Sorry for the delayed response. Been on holidays. I meant to say my mill level is at 5, the default. If you want a creamier coffee, then you have to set it towards level 1. And yes, you have to make sure you adjust it while you're making coffee and not when the machine is idle or turned off. Did something bad happen when you adjusted it?
I noticed in your video, when you making latte, the machine just put one shot of coffee and stops. My machine keeps going, and put a lot of water as well, at the end it looks like just clean water.
Latte taste horrible and very watery. Is there a setting for it, or a faulty machine ?

Decaf should be alright. You just have to buy decaffeinated ground coffee.

Are you asking if the cappuccino function actually produced a good cappuccino? If so, my answer is yes. It makes a very good cappuccino.
I’ve had mine about 2months, great video btw. It’s slightly different - must be a UK version, mine has an option for latte machiato. My wife has messed with the espresso measurement, it now does a huge cup instead of a shot, any idea how to change it back to a single?!
Hi @Eaglesham photography. I just checked the manual, here’s what you need to do:
1) put a cup underneath the spout
2) hold-press on the espresso button until its blinking
3) allow it to pour coffee up to a level on your cup that you desire
4) then press the espresso button again
This should save the settings for your espresso. I haven’t tried it yet. Let me know how you go. Thanks for the question. Learned something about the machine because of it!
