Can you do a video on Pokémon evolution using the Question do Pokémon evolve as a life cycle or is it related to their battle prowess like in the game and in the anime( ash’s Pokémon not evolving for some reason while his other team member transition to their final form)
Okay are there really golden sun themes playing in the background? In the psychic pokemon video it was the jupiter lighthouse theme and that one must have been the one of the magma rock. I am noct complaining. I think its funny.
The tale of a ditto: chapter 1: it's 6AM, 2 stones side by side on the ground, when suddenly, one of them reveals itself a ditto! - "What a beautiful day!" says ditto. Ditto then looks at the sun and accidentaly triggers transform. chapter 2: everyone is dead, our solar system is going crazy and the neighbor system is gonna have some problems with asteroids. The End Hey, check the pokedex before replying, ditto CAN transform into objects
Kylian Wieringa but what about the other planets in the other solar system. They will be attacked by asteroids. But what if one of those asteroids is a ditto. And then ditto is gonna attack alien planets or something! there is so much that we still dont know! We need a sequal. And then another one. And then a prequle! Maybe even a ditto connected universe of movies!
(physics teacher here) You're right that convection (transfer through motion of fluids/gases) wouldn't transfer much heat for very far, but you're ignoring radiative heat transfer. Anything that is of any temperature emits energy through radiation, which is just light. This isn't impeded by the atmosphere (and why the sun warms the Earth). Radiative heat transfer depends on the temperature and size of the object, and awhile ago I estimated Magcargo's radiative heat output. While it's not world-ending, it is worse than you make it out to be. I found that if you're closer than about 100 feet the temperature will be about the boiling point of water, so if you get closer or stay there for long, your blood would start to boil. tl;dr you ignored radiative heat transfer from Magcargo which would cause your blood to start boiling if you get within 100 feet of it.
Yes with that size. The approximate equation is: T_o = T_s*√(R/2d) where T_s is the temperature of the source (in this case Magcargo), R is the radius of the source (assuming the source is a sphere. Magcargo's height is 0.8 meters so let's use an R of 0.4), d is the distance between the source and wherever you want to find the temperature (we're going to solve for this), and T_o is the temperature away from the source (which we're going to say is 212 F which is 373 Kelvin). 373 = 10255.372*√(0.4/2d) 0.03637 = √(0.4/2d) 0.001323 = 0.4/2d 0.001323 = 0.2/d 0.0066143 = 1/d d = 151.18725 m which is almost 500 feet so I actually was quite low in what I said before. Yes the atmosphere would mitigate this a bit and Magcargo's "radius" isn't very accurate, but it's close enough to at least get an idea. Actually you can use the same equation above to find the average temperature of the Earth due to the Sun, and you end up getting about 42 F. The actual average temperature of the Earth is about 58 F which makes sense that it'd be a bit hotter due to the greenhouse effect and that the Earth has some internal heat of its own. So this equation is pretty good at estimating these things.
You área Also forgeting that you aren't in a closed room, and the air arround him is in constant movement The Shell also encase the heat, just like a pot, so you must take it in account
Magcargo probably works like Ponyta in which the flames and heat they produce is controllable to the point where they can refrain from hurting people they like or don't wanna hurt.
I believe it's a coincidence the shiny is purple, in gen 3 the shiny colors were determined by preset palettes, hence why so many pokemon are ugly green/purple.
There are ugly green shinies, but the majority of ugly shinies is either pink or purple. Green is better than either of these colours in almost every case.
Could you explain magneton’s Pokédex entries? It supposedly can raise the temperature 3300 ft around it by 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit and evaporate moisture around it, according to it’s yellow and silver entries respectively.
magneton is electric. most likely it opporates not on true magnetism but static electricity, most likely propelling itself along with electric currents in the air as well as using it to float. It is technically an electric conductor which produce heat which is advantageous in this case as it would keep moisture off of it in order to keep it from rusting. If it was just a magnet it wouldn't survive or float at all as heat causes a magnet to lose its magnetism. So it's just a static electricity conductor that doesn't actually use magnetism but something similar.
Most of the earlier ones likely were. Then we get Pokken Machamp who CAN unleash 1000 punches in 2 seconds but only under the right conditions, like it is suggested here about Magcargo and it's heat.
Some of the entries even get worded as if they are telling a joke rather than being serious, and many others seem to be more just relating a mythological story or old wives tale about a given pokemon.
I think it is temperature on the inside of its shell. I think some pokemons can generate pressure so strong inside their body to make magma temperature. but again, pokemon is magical creature. they can choose who they want to harm and who keep safe from their hazard. example of this is when ash was riding ponyta/rapidash
Honestly, with entries like this, I just subscribe to the theory that it's your trainer character writing them on the spot; So sometimes they're ridiculous like this because the kid burned their hand on it, or something.
When you showed that Smokey Bear poster, I got a weird feeling of an upcoming fire-bear Pokemon. "Only you can preserve forest fires." MidCoreGamer does not actually endorse the continued existence of forest fires.
Worth pointing out that those “10 trillion degree temperatures in a lab” occurred over absolutely minuscule fractions of a second-the reason they weren’t catastrophically destructive is because heat transfer does happen over time. (One source I found for a different temp, “only” 4 trillion degrees, said the reaction reached that temperature for only a billionth of a trillionth of a second.) Magcargo sitting around at 18,000 degrees basically _forever_ actually allows a good deal of heat transfer to occur.
Or maybe The Pokedex was written by a 10 year old Pokemon Trainer who likes to over-exaggerate the entries. "Wow, Alakazam is super smart, it must have an IQ of like A BILLION"
About these Pokédex entrys... Do you know who writes them - according to the lore? The trainer. You! A ten year old. (Most of the time) That explaines why they are all different in the editions and always over the top. And btw. thanks for the Shantae Music.
Pokémon Red; Oak: “Oh right! I have a request of you two. On the desk there is my invention, POKéDEX. It *automatically* records data on POKéMON you've seen or caught. It's a hi-tech encyclopedia.“ You've got the point that it isn't directly stated, but the assumption that nobody has collected any data prior to the trainer is at hand. (request) That or the Pokédex AI is writing the additional text. Like Google translator...
After watching this I realized that when you catch a fever(due to thermodynamics) the heat transfer works the exact same way and that’s why you could stand a few feet from someone and they have a fever of 100 yet you don’t feel any heat coming from them
When the last BGM track kicked in around 7:30, I didn't really process what Lockstin was saying anymore, and at first I couldn't place why. Now, I've never had an ear for music (I'm tone deaf beyond all belief. Can't tell the difference between a note going higher or it being lower but at a higher volume. Completely indistinguishable to my ears), but my mind kept going back to Golden Sun, a game series I haven't touched in literally over a decade at this point, and so I resolved myself to sample its OST. Sure enough, the track in question is Desert Heat, from the first game. Very fitting, given the video's topic. I'm still just completely floored by the fact that one song reached out to take me from 5 AM insomnia today to a decade ago under the covers in the wee hours of the morning with only my gameboy and my sense of adventure for company (though now that I say it, I can't help but wonder if those two things are related). Props to your editor for their choice in BGM and taste in RPGs. Now, I think I'm off to reclaim some of the joy from my childhood, sleep and responsibilities be damned. Love your content so so much, Lockstin.
Maybe some Pokedex entries were written by children instead of actual scientist. A child would easily say something like "that snail is 18000 degrees!"
Aside from that it's also known that some Pokemon can control how volatile the element they control are. IIRC Ponyta and Rapidash can make their fires not burn trainers they like and trust. Why wouldn't Macargo be able to lower it's temperature?
There's only one problem with Magcargo Like you said, he is living and won't cool down so it will keep heating stuff around him He won't melt everything around him but no, standing next to him won't be like a bonfire as it's constantly way hotter than one
So the more magcargos there are in one place the bigger effect on world? It should be a part of some pokemon team "Now that I gathered 1000 macgargos, i will place them in *important place*, and detroy everthing there!"
I wonder why pokedex is full of insane description. Who wrote this thing? And notice just how many description that contain uncertainty word (like: it said to be, according to the rumor, people said, etc. The point is its not a fact yet) wich could explain most of creepy entry out there. But the question remain, who wrote pokedex entry? (At least in the game) I think its us, the player. Because the professor always said they need our help to collect data before giving us the pokedex.
I know you probably won't see this, but I don't think the thermodynamics comparison is complete here. Yes, heat generation is relative to the density of the object, but you missed the main point in regards to this despite bringing up the evidence that would lead to this conclusion. Macargo generates this heat. It is not formed from it and then cools off. It is always at this temperature. That means Macargo HAS to be the mass equivalent of an object that could perpetually generate this level of heat. I get it. Pokemon is Pokemon. There's no scientific accuracy to be found here, but you can't half-ass the comparison to make it sound like Macargo actually makes sense in accordance with thermodynamics when it doesn't make sense regardless.
I never read pokedex entries, because absolutely none of them make any sense and they ruin the whole francise for me because of how ridiculous they are. And I also strongly believe that there are still non-pokemon animals in the pokemon world just like there are non-pokemon plants.
this was awesome ^^ I like thinking that Magcargo's inner body temp is higher then the outer temp (Since its the same for us). I am big fan of Digimon, and the main argument that most people that hat it is "Can soso-mon's flames reach double the sun's temp" And most of the time I rebuttal with "if he were really that hot, the pokemon world would burn up." so anyway, liked the vid, and keep using your noggin ^u^
Oh man, I love all of the Golden Sun music that has been playing in the back ground of your recent videos. Very nostalgic. Well, now. I'm gonna go play some Golden Sun.
I like the theory that, cos the dex is being filled out by the tween/teen player character, some dex entries are just a scientifically ignorant kid exaggerating. For example, if Machamp really threw things clear over the horizon or threw thousands of punches per second it's attack and speed stats would be extremely high.
I like the theory that all the pokemon entries are being made by the protagonist once he or she catches a pokemon (this is the reson they are given the pokedex after all, to help study the pokemon themselves). This may be the reason a lot of the entries are ridiculous, like, you can't have an iq of 3000, but a 10 or 12 or 14 years old wouldn't know any better and would make those exagerations. This is the price for not hiring professionals i'd say.
Incidentally, Professor Westwood, the man who supposedly wrote the Pokédex, admitted that he might have exaggerated some of the entries...Looks like the anime was self-aware of what was to come.
I like the idea presented by a series of comic strips that explain the ridiculous entries: they're all written by ten-year-olds. Kid sees Magcargo > Kid touches Magcargo > Kid's finger is burned > Kid declares "It must be hotter than the suuuuun!"
While I did learn something interesting, I feel that either way I should have reminded some folks about the MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) Mantra: "It's a show, I should just relax."
And remember, Magcargo has some form of heat supply that's countinously providing the heat, cause the heat dispers constantly so it would not be unfeasible to say it can deposte/ vaporize whatever it walks on. Fun fact: Earth's solid core is 8000+ K/ C, and the plasma inside the sun is over 40 times as dense as its solid counterpart.
I have been complaining about this for a while now. Like do people realize how hot a light bulb is? About 5000F(studio lighting is actually hotter than Magcargo); measuring light in units of temperature isn't just a coincidence.
Oh my gosh I LOVE the Age of Empires 2 music you used!!! Such a throwback. Played that a ton thanks to my dad. As for the actual video, I appreciate this. It always bothered me when people brought up Magcargo to be this insane Pokemon that would melt anything nearby.
The pinkish purple color is probably a coincidence because shinies were determined by an algorithm until generation 6. Gen 6 and 7 was when GameFreak manually made shines.
So you translated 18,000℉ to ℃, and that got me curious as to what the original Japanese entry was. Turns out they used 10,000℃ (18,032℉) so it looks like when translating they rounded the number. Which makes all of the sense.
Hey Lockstin how about this idea for a theory? How light would the gravity in monster hunter have to be for all of the giant monsters to exist? And on that note, would a real world T-Rex be able to physically defeat some of the monsters since they adapted to different gravity strengths?
The suns heat does not heat up the Earth, heat transfer requires a medium. It’s the light being absorbed by the ground/other opaque objects and transforming into heat
Hey gnoggin here’s a theory how Do repels well repel every type of Pokémon? The obvious answer is something similar to bug spray but on a massive scale but how can that scale also include fish inanimate objects given life and ghosts This is something I just recently thought about
That possible 0 typo just reminds me of the time when the online games' host/distributor/whatever of the country I live were going to give 1500 of its paid currency (the currency used to buy premium items on their games) for all players as a apology for the server's instability, but accidentaly gave 15000 of said currency, of course people got pretty excited and start to spend it right away, but then came the 20 hours rollback and everyone was sad again. PS: The sun is small as heck, and you know that.
not going to brother looking if anyone has said this, but another reason the sun is not to bad is that space is a vacuum and heat doesnt transfer as fast or far when its only method of heat transfer is radiation (as a vacuum has no molecules for conduction (solids) or convection (liquids or gases) to occur)
I think you should do a video trying to make sense of the Pokémon pantheon, explaining the purpose of every legend, and which ones you think are singular and which ones there are multiple of
i always thought it's shell kept it's heat in check like maybe one of those clay oven things. if you bust the shell open all the heat would explode out and it's body would goop all over being just lava and all.
5:26 you are completely wrong in that part. the sun does not transfer any heat directly to earth because vacuum as you stated is nothing. and heat is just the energy gathered by particles(which in vacuum are almos non-existent). The sun transfers heat to earth through infrared waves which as a type of electromagnetic waves ARE able to travel through vacuum.
I wish I found this video sooner, all of my friends call my shiny magkargo dumb because of his pokedex entry, but now I have something to combat them with, thank you.
Thanks for watching!

The tale of a ditto:
chapter 1:
it's 6AM, 2 stones side by side on the ground, when suddenly, one of them reveals itself a ditto!
- "What a beautiful day!" says ditto.
Ditto then looks at the sun and accidentaly triggers transform.
chapter 2: everyone is dead, our solar system is going crazy and the neighbor system is gonna have some problems with asteroids.
The End
Hey, check the pokedex before replying, ditto CAN transform into objects
Big fan of your work, can we get a sequel to "The tale of a ditto," I can't handle the cliffhanger!
Yep indeed ditto can transform into objects
electro cat gamer I-X what cliffhanger? I think it's really explained everything
Only, it would turn into a ditto-sized version of that sun
Kylian Wieringa but what about the other planets in the other solar system. They will be attacked by asteroids. But what if one of those asteroids is a ditto. And then ditto is gonna attack alien planets or something! there is so much that we still dont know! We need a sequal. And then another one. And then a prequle! Maybe even a ditto connected universe of movies!
Mon's not hot,
I tell ya Mon's not hot.
The Dex says "Avoid Magcargo"
I tell it "Dex, Mon's not hot."

not with that size
Yes with that size. The approximate equation is: T_o = T_s*√(R/2d) where T_s is the temperature of the source (in this case Magcargo), R is the radius of the source (assuming the source is a sphere. Magcargo's height is 0.8 meters so let's use an R of 0.4), d is the distance between the source and wherever you want to find the temperature (we're going to solve for this), and T_o is the temperature away from the source (which we're going to say is 212 F which is 373 Kelvin).
373 = 10255.372*√(0.4/2d)
0.03637 = √(0.4/2d)
0.001323 = 0.4/2d
0.001323 = 0.2/d
0.0066143 = 1/d
d = 151.18725 m which is almost 500 feet so I actually was quite low in what I said before.
BUUUUUUT
Can you see that Shell?
You área Also forgeting that you aren't in a closed room, and the air arround him is in constant movement

If only the kids knew their teachers google account is kirbydude
It would still be a very bad idea to touch an 18,000 degree creature though.
First Last you will lose your hand instantly.
You'll loose more then that
Though strangely, a girl in the anime was able to hug it without getting burned...how the heck did she manage that?
Aura Dragon448 Marcargo can most likely control it's body temperature, after all they don't want to melt everything they touch.
Magcargo probably works like Ponyta in which the flames and heat they produce is controllable to the point where they can refrain from hurting people they like or don't wanna hurt.

True, but it's a very impressive coincidence- if you ask me. ☺️
There are ugly green shinies, but the majority of ugly shinies is either pink or purple. Green is better than either of these colours in almost every case.

Renyx Ghoul & God Slayer memes have always been popular.... look at rage comics for example

An Age of Empires 2 track unexpectedly kicks in at 3:57.
Fraser McNiven how good
5:41 And there's also a track from Shantae: Half-Genie Hero here
how do you explain why gardevoir is hot?? i mean... it's not even a fire type!
Oh, you are looking for the regional variant gardevoir, it is from the 34 Region, type fire/poison.
wrong defination of "hot"
Gardevoir is hot because you are basic.
You know which Pokemon is hotter than both of em? Primarina. And she's a Water type
mr. mime is pretty hot as well tho.
Daaaamn it’s hard to pay attention to you when you put that amazing Golden Sun Lamakan Desert theme, I just love it so much
I still think most Pokedex entries are exaggerating
Most of the earlier ones likely were. Then we get Pokken Machamp who CAN unleash 1000 punches in 2 seconds but only under the right conditions, like it is suggested here about Magcargo and it's heat.
Yeah, like it is said that magickarp can jump over mountains, and still they don't do crap.
Some of the entries even get worded as if they are telling a joke rather than being serious, and many others seem to be more just relating a mythological story or old wives tale about a given pokemon.
what did you expected form a researcher that is 10 years old??
Matthew Smith not really, we know that it is within their capabilities, figuring out how though is the fun/annoying part.
I think the professors are only lazy

YES MY FAVORITE POKÉMON, tbh wanted a *_mega magcargo_*
Worth pointing out that those “10 trillion degree temperatures in a lab” occurred over absolutely minuscule fractions of a second-the reason they weren’t catastrophically destructive is because heat transfer does happen over time. Looking back at when I used Amino, I hate the Amino phase in my life. All I think about is how cringy the ppl were, and how cringy I was

yeah, literally right there in that quote

Maybe some Pokedex entries were written by children instead of actual scientist. A child would easily say something like "that snail is 18000 degrees!"
Ponyta has some ridiculous entries:
Apparently, It can clear Ayers Rock in one leap, even though it trains by jumping over growing *grass*
Most of them are.
you can't really cherry pick it's either they all make sense or they all do not
Do I care tho
No they're not.
Noah Smith Yeah that's real convincing.
Am I the only one who read the thumbnail caption as “No Thot”
Girls says: "take of your shell"
Magcargos not hot.
DEAAD MEEME

Aside from that it's also known that some Pokemon can control how volatile the element they control are. IIRC Ponyta and Rapidash can make their fires not burn trainers they like and trust. Why wouldn't Macargo be able to lower it's temperature?
Looking at pokedex entries, the people at Gamefreak are really bad with numbers, for Japanese.
They’re not Chinese.
There's only one problem with Magcargo
Like you said, he is living and won't cool down so it will keep heating stuff around him
He won't melt everything around him but no, standing next to him won't be like a bonfire as it's constantly way hotter than one

So the more magcargos there are in one place the bigger effect on world? It should be a part of some pokemon team
"Now that I gathered 1000 macgargos, i will place them in *important place*, and detroy everthing there!"
And also the fact that it's scientifically questionable to leave describing Pokémon species in the hands of ten year olds.
again, pokedex isnt written by the protagonist it's automatic, done by an ai, stated in basically all the games.
Lockstin: (makes this video)
Me: dynamaxes Macrago
I wonder why pokedex is full of insane description. Who wrote this thing? Pranav Sriram so you mean they are "capable" to do it, but they don't always do it. Ok, make sense to me.
This is what happens when to let children make a wiki after giving them no formal education.
HEATRAN-sfer
I never read pokedex entries, because absolutely none of them make any sense and they ruin the whole francise for me because of how ridiculous they are. And I also strongly believe that there are still non-pokemon animals in the pokemon world just like there are non-pokemon plants.
0/10 No Numb Nexus
5:18 Yes it will. (Maybe) Slugma's Dex entry states it needs to keep moving or it will die
please do regice next
REASON: apparently it CAN'T MELT!
goodluck
this was awesome ^^ I like thinking that Magcargo's inner body temp is higher then the outer temp (Since its the same for us). I am big fan of Digimon, and the main argument that most people that hat it is "Can soso-mon's flames reach double the sun's temp" And most of the time I rebuttal with "if he were really that hot, the pokemon world would burn up."
so anyway, liked the vid, and keep using your noggin ^u^
I guess you could say this video was pretty spicy
0:16 Reasons why I regard Pokedex entries like bits of superstition (and myths) for most cases or exaggeration/hyperbole in others.
But.. But... But... How a pokeball can touch it?
They turn into energy when you recall them.
Noah Smith but you have to throw it on it first
Pokeballs are very Resistant
“You’re gleaming! What skincare product do you use?”
“Sweat”
The incineroar shirt is cool
personally, i like to think that most Pokedex entries are actually based on in-universe folklore and urban legends rather than 100% factual
Oh man, I love all of the Golden Sun music that has been playing in the back ground of your recent videos. Very nostalgic. Well, now. I'm gonna go play some Golden Sun.
To paraphrase Randall Munroe, "The lovely thing about physics is that you can just keep adding zeroes to something and nobody can stop you."
The people who disliked this CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH
I like the theory that, cos the dex is being filled out by the tween/teen player character, some dex entries are just a scientifically ignorant kid exaggerating. For example, if Machamp really threw things clear over the horizon or threw thousands of punches per second it's attack and speed stats would be extremely high.
OMG did he make a video on my favourite poketuber Numb Nexus favourite Pokémon and mascot MAGCARGO!!!
Me: (playing my 3ds while idly listening to video.)
5:41 (Shantae HGH music starts playing)
Me: "You now have my undivided attention."
where the hell did the trillion deggree experiment take place?
love this theory as it makes so much sense, but perhaps you could cover regice basically the opposite of macargo in terms of temperture
I GOT THE FIRST LIKE!!
I've never done that before!!
(God I'm a looser)
3rd view: LOVE YOUR BRAINS LOCKSTIN GNOGGON!!!
The shiny being purple is a coincidence, just a really good coincidence
I like the theory that all the pokemon entries are being made by the protagonist once he or she catches a pokemon (this is the reson they are given the pokedex after all, to help study the pokemon themselves). This may be the reason a lot of the entries are ridiculous, like, you can't have an iq of 3000, but a 10 or 12 or 14 years old wouldn't know any better and would make those exagerations. This is the price for not hiring professionals i'd say.
Yeah but in the anime, Brock once said that Water types are totally weak to fire types.
Incidentally, Professor Westwood, the man who supposedly wrote the Pokédex, admitted that he might have exaggerated some of the entries...Looks like the anime was self-aware of what was to come.
It's the episode that featured Slowpoke, Shellder, and Slowbro.
Professor Oak has stated that the Pokédex automatically records information on the Pokémon.
yep, automatic
ITS AUTOMATIC FOR FUCKS SAKE CAN PEOPLE SHUT UP WITH THIS THEORY JESUS
I like the idea presented by a series of comic strips that explain the ridiculous entries: they're all written by ten-year-olds.
Kid sees Magcargo > Kid touches Magcargo > Kid's finger is burned > Kid declares "It must be hotter than the suuuuun!"
I was going to suggest that maybe all that heat was how hot the inside of its shell is, but you covered that at the end of the video. Good job!
I loved this video! You should make it into a series like ”debunk the dex” or something like that
Unrelated: I’ve just now noticed, two years after this video was uploaded, that Lockstin is using music from AoE II in the video.
Age of Empires AND Golden Sun music in one video?
10/10 Lockstin, those OSTs are amazing.
This was a neat video. Keep up the good work!
On a random note, I like the shirt with Litten and Incineroar that you wore in parts of this video.
I have been complaining about this for a while now. Like do people realize how hot a light bulb is? About 5000F(studio lighting is actually hotter than Magcargo); measuring light in units of temperature isn't just a coincidence.
4:10
OMG!!! AGE OF EMPIRES II
I think it’s probably just hot on the inside, and you could touch it since it can travel on grass and not even burn it
Entei speaking to trainer: *Dont battle me, you will regret it*. Trainer: battles Entei. Entei: *bork*. Trainer: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
I greatly appreciate your use of Golden Sun music. Not just here, I noticed it in your Psychic video.
The pinkish purple color is probably a coincidence because shinies were determined by an algorithm until generation 6. Gen 6 and 7 was when GameFreak manually made shines.
"Over 900,000" with Vegeta to the right, very clever Lockstin.
Remind me to NEVER dynamax a Magcargo 😅
So you translated 18,000℉ to ℃, and that got me curious as to what the original Japanese entry was. Turns out they used 10,000℃ (18,032℉) so it looks like when translating they rounded the number. Which makes all of the sense.
Hey Lockstin how about this idea for a theory? How light would the gravity in monster hunter have to be for all of the giant monsters to exist? And on that note, would a real world T-Rex be able to physically defeat some of the monsters since they adapted to different gravity strengths?
It would still make everything it touches to gas and just dig itself down towards the core until it's getting ripped apart
Love that Rayman 2 Music. "Sanctuary of Stone and Fire", yeah...
The girl: "Take off your shell"
Magcargo: "Babes...Mag's not hot."
Gosh every video pulling out the golden sun music. You're really giving me a hankering to play it!
The suns heat does not heat up the Earth, heat transfer requires a medium. It’s the light being absorbed by the ground/other opaque objects and transforming into heat
My guess is Magcargo's body temperature doesn't radiate outward.
Stand next to Magcargo = Safe
Touch Magcargo = hand turns to black stump.
Maybe it's like the candy in those lofty pursuits videos, where the candy is cool to touch on the outside, yet boiling on the inside.
Also for the sake of comparison, nuclear fusion research generally involves producing temperatures of over 100,000,000°c
Nice AOE 2 music at 4:00. Really enjoy that little touch
Hey gnoggin here’s a theory how Do repels well repel every type of Pokémon?
The obvious answer is something similar to bug spray but on a massive scale but how can that scale also include fish inanimate objects given life and ghosts
This is something I just recently thought about
That possible 0 typo just reminds me of the time when the online games' host/distributor/whatever of the country I live were going to give 1500 of its paid currency (the currency used to buy premium items on their games) for all players as a apology for the server's instability, but accidentaly gave 15000 of said currency, of course people got pretty excited and start to spend it right away, but then came the 20 hours rollback and everyone was sad again.
Now explain the fact that a young child HUGS the thing in the anime.
I think you should do a video trying to make sense of the Pokémon pantheon, explaining the purpose of every legend, and which ones you think are singular and which ones there are multiple of
imagine magcargo catching fever.
i always thought it's shell kept it's heat in check like maybe one of those clay oven things. if you bust the shell open all the heat would explode out and it's body would goop all over being just lava and all.
Thermodynamic is pretty simple until you get to the minization of Gibbs free energy to determine the nature of phase transition.
5:26
you are completely wrong in that part. the sun does not transfer any heat directly to earth because vacuum as you stated is nothing. and heat is just the energy gathered by particles(which in vacuum are almos non-existent). The sun transfers heat to earth through infrared waves which as a type of electromagnetic waves ARE able to travel through vacuum.
Favorite non legendary Fire Type still it needs a new evolution or a mega or something.
I wish I found this video sooner, all of my friends call my shiny magkargo dumb because of his pokedex entry, but now I have something to combat them with, thank you.
