Absolutely love seeing the boys back together and watching how good Matt's swing is, even after a hiatus from the game.
Guys: My wife just got home and asked me what I was watching? I said, "Matty's back - I'm going down the TXG video rabbit hole." She walked away shaking her head.

I just can’t say it enough - this channel IS Ian and the Dirty Dawg. This is just what we needed as we come into the snowy season, our favourite channel is back!!

This is the only channel that I consistently come back to. Mattys swing is so fun to watch, makes us all appreciate what the same clubs that we all swing can actually do.
Woods and Hybrids are the most interesting part of the bag...lots of good options for every player

I would really be interested in an explanation video of what Matt's old delivery where he didn't spin the ball looked like compared to where they want to go. Crazy difference in spin and launch! I have high speed and higher launch and spin, would love to knock it down a bit for the wind I play in...

Yeah he loved it in the initial review, that would be a good one to try.
Moved to G425 hybrid this season from Mizuno CLK (which I loved). I play the 22 turned down to 20.5 for that same slot above the 4 iron. Loved it so much that I now also have the 25 turned down to 23.5 which swaps in and out for my 4 iron depending on course, wind etc. They have been brilliant for me.
The Boys back with the great content. good timing as I was looking at a club in this kind of slot (22* Hybrid/6-7 wood)
Awesome video, really highlighted the need to me anyway of getting fit for clubs / shafts that have a performance window either side of how you swing on fitting day👍

Top end of the bag gapping is part art part science and course dependant I find. Currently gaming a Fli Hi 2i and Miz 5wd down to 16deg. Both for specific shots on the home course.

If you haven't tried the Tour Edge Exotics E722 5 wood it's worth a test. It's so easy to hit and is my favorite club in the bag.
I don’t play any fairway metals. I have the Ping G425 4H at 22degrees and 2H at 17degrees, with Ventus 9x shafts. Fills the gap perfectly from 4 iron to driver.
Any chance you could do a hybrid comparison video for models available late 2022. Nobody seems to be reviewing the latest hybrids

Hybrid 235 yard carry, 242 total. Fairway wood 255 carry, 265 total. Ball speed 152 hybrid, 162 fairway wood. Something like these numbers.

Question. Why don't you ever try Cobra King Tech hyprid? I mean that is a hyprid with the best adjustability of all hyprids. You have hozel setting options plus you can also play around with weights.

I know you didn’t want to go there but what is the reason for all Matt’s spin? I have a 425 with stock Alta shaft. My attack angle is similar, but club speed is around 95 mph , ball speed is around 140 and spin high 2000s. Carry 215-220. Does his extra club speed just translate to higher launch and spin? Is there just no shaft that can take off say 1000 spin? Is the (rich man’s) curse of all that club head speed he has that spin loft can go haywire on him?
Could you guys do a comparison of the mizuno pro 225 2 iron vs the mizuno pro Fli hi 2 iron?!?
I started with FliHi, but couldn’t quite love the size of it. 225 2i is best I’ve ever had/hit. Ventus Blue 90x hybrid shaft. Ridiculously long and pretty forgiving.

Drop the 4 iron and add a 3h/18degree. Using his current hybrid as a 4h would be much more versatile imo

How do you compensate with the swingweight due to the heavy weight of the adapter?
I am wondering the same thing. Thinking this may be be part of the club champion merger somehow. I was fit at my local CC using these adapters and nothing felt right. My driver ended up at D9...still not happy with it, or the hybrid I got.
By reducing the head weight where possible. Most woods and hybrids nowadays have a weighting system. All our fitters have OEM weight kits to manage swing weight in the fitting bay.

Why not try a Callaway UW?
I’m a fan but it’s less versatile than the G425 as it doesn’t have a loft sleeve. I always prefer the option of being able to adjust the club in the future if it no longer does the required job.
i wouldve thought the apex uw 19 or 21 would be perfect here?
It’s not as versatile as the G425 as it’s not adjustable.
