I’m sad seeing the last few vids from the lads on this channel. Absolute legends. Learned so much from Ian and Mike over the years. Happy new year boys and all the best on the adventures 🎉
R.I.P. TXG 😢😢 Things will never be the same again. Ian and Mikey have been instrumental for me and my equipment purchases from TXG. Love you guys and all the very best on your endeavors. Lest not forget the fucking ball striking machine Matt Blois who pushed the envelope with his inquisitive questions and distance.
The sad part is he won't be talking about fitting and his expertise for some time... I'm assuming... none compete clauses typically last at least 1 year.
Started golfing for first time in 10 years this year. At the beginning of the year I bought a set of T150s over the Mizuno 245 without being properly fit. After discovering these guys on RUclips I began to learn so much about the new tech and the importance of getting fit, so I went to Club Champion in St. Louis and sent my irons away to get new shafts. What a night and day difference. It makes me wish I discovered these guys before I bought anything to begin with. The T150s are great, but I used to game Mizuno MP 33s so the 245s were so hard not to buy over the T150s. My favorite clubs are my Mizuno T24 wedges and Mizuno putter. Awesome videos guys.
My quick takes: - Cobra King Tour performed like Titleist T125. Launches and spins like T100 with T150ish ball speeds and an in between footprint. Best iron I tested as a high single digit - Ping hybrid was excellent but super hot to the point that gapping it was a challenge. As a precise club, I struggled. But if you use hybrid as a backup tee option it’s excellent. Preferred tsr3 with more adjustability to dial in.
Thanks Mikey and Ian for everything you have done! I have learned more about fitting from this channel then all other channels combined! It won’t be the same!
You nailed it on the head. I have in my bag the Mizuno 245 irons and they are awesome. However, I have been looking to upgrade to the Callaway Driver and 3 wood plus the Ping hybrid which has had raved reviews. So in 2025 I am taking my game to the next level on the woods. Thank you. Happy new year.
Thank you, Mikey and Fraz, for making great golf content all through 2024. I will keep an eye out for your future projects and confirm what's others have posted about the standard of CC videos with out you two. Are just not worth wasting time watching. Good luck for 2025 boys.
Man what great picks, y’all literally picked my whole bag brand wise…TD ai smoke driver, smoke max 3 wood, ( still testing hybrids/5 woods ) Mizuno pro 243 irons, sm10 wedges 50,54,58 is what’s in my bag this year. I played the mg4s before going back to volkeys, the weighting of the volkeys just feels right, mg4s something was off, alittle to light for my preference. Gonna miss you guys, no one will nor can compare to you 2
I went all tour edge exotics c725 for top of the bag. Driver, 3 wood, and the two and three hybrids. I expected to walk out of the fitting with titelist again, but that diamond face seems to work for me. The pro v1 left dash has been a revelation for me this year, too.
I currently play the G410 hybrid (4h but lofted 1 degree weaker at 23 degrees), which in my hands has a tendency to produce a ball flight that is a bit flatter than I would like, I can manipulate the club face to counter that but would the G430 hybrid be an improvement?
I’ve been fit for a DF3 and awaiting delivery so can’t wait for it. Great video as always guys and a great choice of bag for 2024, no argument from me but I still love my 2023 Paradym irons Joe fitted me for. All the very best to you both for 2025 🥃🤙

This is ridiculously difficult considering the vast range of handicaps floating out there. I’d give honorable mention to PING for there wedges in wet or dewy conditions and their irons for their ease of use, forgiveness & uncanny front-to-back dispersion!
I had every intention of getting fit for the Pro 245 Irons and the G430 Max driver. I was right about the one, the driver. But for some reason my swing didn’t get along with the Pro 245s. I didn’t hit them bad by any means. But The P790s gave me much better numbers so I went with them. No doubt the 245s are some of the nicest irons out there. Wish I had them in my bag but can’t argue with the data either

These last few TXG vids have been bitter sweet. I got back into golf a few years ago, after a 30 year hiatus. I also dove in the deep end and starting building everything myself, really focusing on Japanese forged irons. It would be interesting to know how you tested. Did you test these yourselves, was it from customers or was there another method? I’m not doubting your results, but considering the “average “ golfer shoots a 91 on a par 72 I might have questions about some of these choices for the masses. You also left one brand out of a category due to price and yet you picked an expensive putter.
The LAB DF3 is $449 at Dicks, not really that much more than many putters, yet it is an awesome game changing putter. The Ti Fusion irons are $2100 so quite a bit more, as in $1000 more than a very nice set of irons. So I see why they did what they did. Not to argue, just my opinion. 😊
@@glennwisse6271 I agree, it’s all opinion and what works best for each individual. I’ve tested LAB, Evnrolland the high end 0dysseys and none of them work for me as well as my 3 year old TM Spider 2021 Hydro Blast. There are great putters at $250-300.

Yeah they filmed a few videos in October that’ll be released thru early Feb. I think they filmed videos (under embargo) for the major 2025 driver releases.
I dunno, the most successful (and winningest) PGA/LPGA Tour players raved about Qi10, P770, Spiders, etc. to have no representation feels like a bit of anti-TM bias. Just say'in...

Last hurrah
Best DTC?
Thought the boys were gone. Must have been filmed already
Yeah they filmed a few videos in October that’ll be released thru early Feb. I think they filmed videos (under embargo) for the major 2025 driver releases.
Paige looks different in this video
Yeah, finally got some junk in the trunk
Ball of the year? What is a WITB without talking about golf ball?
I dunno, the most successful (and winningest) PGA/LPGA Tour players raved about Qi10, P770, Spiders, etc. to have no representation feels like a bit of anti-TM bias. Just say'in...
It's a glaring omission.
I agree and disagree. It’s a matter of chicken and egg. Is the TM product that good (don’t get me wrong, of course it is) or are the best players so good that they accentuate the product? And TM PAYS the best players the best MONEY to have them play their clubs? 😂🤷♂️
@RaidersGolf19 No, they're great clubs. Have you hit them?
@@eric1020 just at stores in testing bays. Some days they work for me, some days not so much. Depends on what shaft is in that day. I’ve not been formally fit. I do know TM makes great stuff. One of the first drivers I ever had was a TM. 👍
They’re last couple vids without Ian and Mike probably tanked. Had to bring back the OGs. 😂
Plus they had Paige with a complete zip up, what are they even doing lol
I’m dreading the day very soon when no more Ian and Mikey videos are released. I hope everyone cancels their sub after the last vid drops.
Wait why are they leaving?
Best driver of the year is from Srixon, followed by Tour Edge Exotics
I would love to have seen the ball, though the obvious choice would be Prov1, but a mention of the Chrome Tour would have been needed. To me, that was by far, the best "new" product of the year.
Prov1 is overrated Srixon is where it’s at
We can all assume prov1 wins golf ball of the year
What, wait? What did I miss? Ian and Mikey are gone?
I wish I could have seen Ian and Mikey test the Takomo 301 CB/MB’s.
The LAB is hilarious. It’s actually a great 2 for 1 deal. $700 to putt worse andddd look like a chode.
Man that is the ugliest putter I've ever seen, I couldn't use that.
8:15 what was that brand?
Lab mezz
So no more Mikey and Ian?
The worst choice of golf ball is the titleist pro v1 and even worse, the pro v1x. You should have a Bridgestone golf ball or maxfli.
Is Mikey leaving as well? I'm probably in the minority but I like listening to Mikey more than Ian.
Ive always hated club champion tgx was 100% better i went to get fit at a cc a couple years ago they fitter claimed he couldn't fit my swing because of my closed set up and low hands at address even though i was hitting good shots on the track man and then they uncharge like 40% on equipment purchases insane
You still here?? 😜
Wait... Ian and Mikey left?? Where'd they go? First Matt and now this? What a shame. Smh. Viewership is gonna tank.
Bring back Ian pay him whatever you need to pay him
It’s our fault… We didn’t like & subscribe enough 😢
The stupidest thing this company could do is loose these two as the face of the business.
JUST BECAUSE A WEDGE HAS MORE OFFERINGS DOESNT MAKE IT THE BEST WEDGE!!!
I will be getting a in person fitted LAB putter in the spring!
