By being able to influence the face angle (vertically and horizontally) and lie angle, lie angle influences launch direction and strike point, we now have more tools to help our clients. Just because you don’t understand it you’re trying to diminish it. For any good fitter this is a an amazing breakthrough. To unlock so much potential in a single club. Manufactures are MILES away from being stumped when it comes to developments in Drivers. I have heard about some things coming in the next 4/5 years that will be revolutionary. Again, just because you can’t imagine what those could be don’t try to influence others to think that’s the case, it’s just outright not true.
Congratulations to Cobra for joining the big boys club as relates to adapters. Hopefully Taylormade and Ping will follow suit on a more refined adapter considering how much these things cost. And on that note Taylormade and Callaway need more ADJUSTABLE fairway wood models.
Just read on another website that true fitting has to come from a Cobra cart with shafts that have the new adapter. Larger fitting studios use a universal adapter so they can fit different shafts.
It looks like the shaft still rotates for some settings which sucks for the people that like to use a Align grip or have the shaft spined but still like to tinker with the settings.
I notice that the Max D has a very late draw affect, not a consistent shape, more like a late hook. Is that standard or can be adjusted to smoothen the path out via the 33 settings?
Like Ian says, have to give up lots of adjustment to achieve 10k in a driver head. But it’s a hot buzzword that will sell drivers. These guys are always unbiased and have the best info🤘

I think this emphasizes what most already know, most golfers don’t practice or take lessons because they would rather play. Having 30+ options, I agree is excessive, but most people want the bandaid, and there is at least a few settings that will bandaid the swing. I don’t see the settings as being overly complicated, once you find a setting you really don’t need to change it.

With their absolutely subcrappy customer service to go with that, Cobra need to move stock more than most others. Ordered 3 woods, Driver, 3-wood and 5-wood, all with a custom shaft in May. All of them arrived with standard crap and i still haven't received the correct order. All i hear is they blame it on they have had so much to do with the success of Darkspeed lineup. I love the design and the feel of the heads. It's just that they do not hold what they promise. Exiting lineup for sure, but i'll be damned before i drop another $2K on this company. Super gutted with their customer service.

I still enjoyed the video but I kept waiting for you to modify the setting and show the new flight but you kept switching clubs so I was wondering what was going on.
This adapter is useless for those who work the ball both ways. Last I checked, golf courses have dogleg rights and lefts. In my opinion the draw biased is to much draw with a good hit. It saves the horrible cut fade. This adapter is for higher handicaps. So how do you get better? Ian is a good golfer, and with this adapter, he looks horrible hitting. Plus Ian hit the ball with every driver/ adapter very low on the face. That would be annoying, not hitting the center of the club. I guess Cobra wants bad golfers spending for an overpriced club and adapter. Bring in a high handicapper for the video, not a scratch golfer.

Finally got my g425 out of the bag and put in the Darkspeed with Ventus blue. Such a great combo. New adapter makes it so easy to dial it in

Does Cobra still make an offset 3 wood? I had one in 1997, was the best 3 wood I ever owned.

@@ph469I would just go for the regular X or Max and then set the hosel to be draw biased rather than being locked into the draw bias with the D.
