It's a bizarre thing to see, let alone be a part of, when you're in it, there's mutual respect and everyone just wants to release pent up energy by jumping around and shoving into each other, someone falls, you pick them up, someone gets legitimately hurt, I've seen bands stop the show and part the crowd like the red sea to let paramedics through. That being said, you come in, not ready, and react with actual violence? You're leaving on a stretcher.

both are great in totally different ways. If I didn't have deeply personal reasons for Who Is Gonna Be The One being my favorite song, this would be my favorite. The lyrics are so deep and the vocals are os amazing that if WIGBTO didn't exist those alone might be enough make this song my favorite even if the music was "only" middling by Jinjer standards. And yet I almost like the music of this song even better than the lyrics and vocals.

When you react to these groups like Jinjer, Nightwish, Epica and so on you really need to pull up the lyrics and look into the actual meaning of the songs, cause so many get it completely wrong, this song is about how we are being controlled by fools (the Teachers are government, media, social media, internet etc) (translation simplified)

I can safely say that this depends a great deal on the musical exposure as a child. I spent most of my teen years on death metal, black metal, some thrash metal, industrial, and hardcore. This is home for me. However, perhaps it’s easier to take in the vocals if you think of them as rap vocals delivered through distortion. They are far more rhythmically oriented than melodically oriented, and thinking of them as a rhythm instrument may make acceptance of them easier.
Tyler Peacock I fully agree. My teens were the same. Heavy vocals are my home. It's easy for us to pick up the lyrics and I'm always surprised when others aren't understanding the lyrics.
i got used to it pretty quick, but that's probably because im into rock since my younger years (im only 20, but still). so you're definitely right! but i think that even if you're not used to this sound, and the screamo, you can get used to it if you expose yourself to it.
