So let me see if I have this right: She's grinding up a 20% grade, holding a Go Pro on a gimbal at arm's length and narrating coherently the most uplifting & enjoyable dialogue. I have such incredible respect and regard for you. Love you Amy and Kyle!
Great effort 👏.Our road club did Winnats Pass a couple of months ago. Instead of Froggatt, we did Owler Bar first. The cattle grid at the bottom of the Pass is a real rhythm killer. Thank goodness I had a 34 cassette. When the wedge, on my Garmin display, changed from purple to orange, it was a real relief !
Winnats is one of those climbs that just does me every time. Used to ride it quite a lot as I lived in Sheffield, never once found it easy. I think it must be just the wrong gradient that I can't quite get the rhythm somehow. Well done.
New subsciber here, I love your positivity👍That was a cracking ride, my type of terrain as I live in Scotland😉I did 110 miles with 6882ft of elevation gain yesterday but I have an e bike so its a little easier to climb those big hills😂I will be 66 next month and still love my cycling, always will😊Very nice bike you have👌

Turning left at the top Froggat lets you drop straight down to Hathersage. You went right which detoured across Sheephill and up over Stanage Edge... great seeing my local rides featured... well done!
Kyle’s getting better at filming, I love watching your videos, I could watch these all day long, also please get a lock or something for your bikes if you haven’t got one already, gives me anxiety seeing you leave them outside, I panic if mines not in view 🤣
@@amy.cycling.adventures that’s made me feel better knowing you lock them up, I see loads at local cafes I go to and people just leaving them, happy cycling & enjoy the bike, lovely colour 😊
Exactly, and it was an *actual* century = 100 millones; none of this _kilometer_ foolishness. Granted the latter is still a serious ride, but a _metric century_ is *_not_* a real century.
You guys rock! Love watching your videos, congrats on your new sponsorship! Stay safe and healthy, ride on my friends. Can’t wait to get off the indoor bike and get out and ride here in Minnesota. It’s been doom and gloom here.
Really, great. You guys are the best. Definitely don’t ’spill anything down’ the T Shirt! Are you doing a ‘blummin eck’ mug? That would be good. Have a good one. You really suit that new bike Amy.
I went up Winnats Pass yesterday, for the first time! In a car, admittedly, and with my bike in the back, but I didn't realise where I was until approaching it thinking "This is damned impressive AND damned steep. It looks very familiar from various videos I've seen of hill climb competitions..." Got back to base and checked a map "Well, well: so that was Winnats" It was glorious weather, very sunny...
Amy, good, strong ride....Remember, the Pinni and Canny need some tender loving care in the form of a good cleaning after such rides...Do invest in a good degreaser for the drive train and warm soapy water for the cleaning. Better to get into the habit at this point. You're a serious recreational cyclist at this point so this is a great way to keep the ride quality as good as your attitude! .......Please, don't make me send the bike mech police after you guys!!!! Cheers, Pjw
Amy, have you ever considered doing technical skills sessions? If you're more comfortable in controlling your bike it will help improve your confidence when descending (how to properly nail the apex of a corner, shifting your bodyweight around etc).
Lolol, back in the day when my other half came out for a pedal with me, he too let rip, proudly standing out of the saddle, waving his bottom in the air 💥💨 - not that I ever encouraged him by laughing, of course😉😁. He also scoffed up the stodgy option at the cafe (just like Kyle😂), regretting it first hill we came too🤢😂 You two are ledgends! Loving the banter and what not 💯🫶🙃
Winnats is deceptively tougher climb than it's gradient implies, there's steeper out there but it's a fairly constant gradient between the cattle grids and it also acts as a bit of a wind tunnel the last time I was there I was recovering from a knee injury and already struggling then a strong gust of wind hit me and I ground to a halt and with no way of restarting I had to hike the rest of the way up leaving my mate wondering where I was
Miss Amy, Thank you for a lovely post. Ride looked like fun but cold. I had thought that you had bought Lobster Claw gloves for the winter? Kyle sure could use a pair but the way his hands were super red at the bathroom /food break. The Cinnamon/Apple oatmeal looked fantastic. With a Chester appearance at the end, you are the best.
