Feel so grateful 🤍 thanks for watching!
Respect! Well done Amy & Kyle. 👍
Words you never here on a UK bike ride ..'this road surface is so smooth its beautiful'... the pair of you are an inspiration and may I say REAL LOVE RIGHT THERE...❤❤
Haha aww thank you!!
What an incredible Video! Amy your positivity is infectious, well done you and Kyle.
Isn’t it just. It’s literally impossible to watch any of her videos and not smile
This is magnificent, the most uplifting video I have stumbled across this year. Amy’s enthusiasm is quite incredible. I am one new subscriber.
Fabulous video Amy & Kyle both done amazing and must say Kyle your a top bloke for giving your good lady plenty of encouragement and praise well done my friend 👏👍
He’s a good one!
your energy is so high!
Really brave sharing about your period. My kids have been constantly updated on your progress and they all groaned in sympathy when I told them you’d got your period THE DAY BEFORE the ride. That will have made a huge difference to your energy and comfort. Even more well done Amy. And Kyle, you’re blummin’ brilliant. I reckon Amy is lucky to have such a great bloke as a husband. Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks so much 🫶next one out later today ☺️
Wow - the locals really do come out and cheer you on! How lovely to bring out water and snacks. I doubt that'd happen in the UK 😕 Really loving this journey - followed you on Insta as it happened but love the commentary and seeing the views, the checkpoints etc. What a buzz - and with so many people getting more and more tired you get a sense of the camaraderie. Brilliant!! Well done you two - what a team!
The locals in Yorkshire would do it. More of a countryside thing. Any place where people regularly say hello to each other I would say.
I rode the CarTen (Cardiff to Tenby) in May. Loads of support on the road side.
Thank you!! 🫶
@@andrewnorris5415I’ve ridden Tour de Yorkshire a couple of times and I can vouch for that 👍🏼 Indeed, so wholesome to see the gent filling bidons with water and kid giving away snacks and sweets!! ❤️ Well done Amy and Kyle. Awesome vlog
Looking forward to part 2
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to record so much of your ride. The support along the way looks fantastic and very welcome, I'm sure! Looking forward to part two, despite knowing the discomfort you experienced. Congratulations to you both, and all who participated and volunteered.
Thank you! Yes it was amazing, part 2 out later today, thanks for the support ☺️
Another classic ..enthusiasm to the max ..love it !!!!
Perfect video, thanks for sharing 🫶
Great watch, couldn't be there doing the next best thing. "Am going places I've never been before!" 🎹🎶
Absolutely outstanding effort the pair of you. I really can’t get my head around what you have accomplished in doing this ride. You both done amazing 👏👏👏
I've been looking forward to this video. Arguably my favorite youtuber. Thanks Amy and Kyle for this treat!
Aww thanks!!!
Even when you're smashed your joy is infectious. You and Kyle are smashing it, way to go!!
Thank you!!
Your videos are really nice to watch never boring from start to finish. Both of you should be sponsored by a big brand!
Love you guys. The world needs more people like Amy. ❤
Sooooo enjoyed that and looking forward to part 2
Been looking forward to this video all year. You & Kyle are brilliant together, a great team. What a brilliant gathering of cyclists from all over the world.
Thank you ☺️ it really was an amazing experience!
You are both an inspiration.
GR8 video guys, love your possitiveity and enthusiasm. The locals are fantastic supporting the event.
That was amazing. I can't wait fo the next installment of this epic adventure. Lovely Amy, and Kyle doing a stellar job of pulling you through it.
Great teamwork so far, and I am waiting to see those smiles at the finish line in Paris. Yippee and TTFN you awesome humans. Love it!
PS you are doing it right if you are smiling and enjoying yourself the whole way.
Fantastic Amy, that was a wonderful ride just what I like to see. however am so sorry that nature had to come at the wrong time and made you not comfortably enjoy the ride.
Kyle, you did a wonderful job and you seemed more motivated than others when you reached Breast. we're so proud of you two.
Thank you so much, Kyle was great 🙌
Amazing guys...keep going!
Wow, what an incredible video for part 1, what a magnificent pair and team you make.Great filming, scenery but your positivity is infectious and honesty coping on this event as a girl. Makes me laugh as nothing appears to effect Kyle and certainly not the heat with all his kit on.
Thanks for such lovely words ☺️ Kyle did amazing!!
A great video, well done to both of you what an achievement.
Miss Amy, Beautiful sunrise. Both you and your pack mule, AKA Kyle are BEASTIES!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the post. Standing by for the next one.
Wonderful. Congrats! My dream ride.
Been looking forward to this, Kyle's a bit of a beast isn't he 👌 would've been class if your Dad went along for the ride too, all three of you together 😂. Fantastic ride both 👌
Haha my Dad happily watched us from the comfort of the sofa 😂
Love this, well done you two! 🚴♂️🚴💪🏼
Thanks for producing and sharing this video which brought back so many positive memories and impressions from my own PBP experience. I was in the same starting Block Y than you and finished only 2 hours after you. So, essentially I had the same phantastic views along the route, shared the same hospitality by the French people in the country side and so on. One of my own next big goals will be London-Edinburgh-London in 2 years. So by chance might see you and Kyle there. Please stay safe. Best regards from Germany, Jürgen
Ahh glad you enjoyed it!! Yes we will be doing that so hopefully see you there! :D
Couple of gems you’s 2 💪
Well done guys!!! Just like to say the video is brilliant giving us a real flavour for what PBP is like. Looking forward to the next episode!
Thanks for watching ☺️ glad you enjoyed it, next one is out later today 🙌
Starting out in the dark, but it is actually AM. Glad she mentioned it.
Thank you so much for sharing and documenting your ride - it’s super inspiring to watch! Especially thank you for speaking about your period and how it’s impacted how you feel on the ride xx
Thank you for watching 🫶
Wow, you guys are nailing it. Well done
Lovely video, you’ve really caught the spirit of PBP 😊
Well done you two! Yippee and woo hoo! Merci beaucoup for sharing your adventures with us and bonne chance. 👍🚴🏻♀️🚴🏼
Merci for watching!! 🙌
Bloody brilliant well done to you both ❤
Tracked you on your journey and Nige now watching the vlog it looks like you enjoyed even though it was the wrong time for you Amy. Great achievement to you both.
Hi Amy I'm a doctor and just a bit of advice. Next time you're on a very long ride and your period is due, get some mefenamic acid tablets from your GP which help with stomach cramps aka period pains or ask him/her to postpone your period with norethisterone. Well done you and Kyle on finishing PBP. I am hoping to do it in 2027.
Well done guys. I was wondering how you two were doing. Bravo. 💪👍
what a brilliant film
Well done you two your doing amazingly well. Great footage really well documented, I would love to be able to do that one day. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you! Next one is 2027, you can do it!
Plenty of time to train and get my fitness up.@@amy.cycling.adventures
Looks bloomin wonderful, some lovely roads! Well done both.
I’ve only watched a minute and I can barely contain myself. It’s SO great seeing you actually riding when in real time it was just numbers on a tracker. Woo hoo!!!
Ahh thanks so much for watching and following us along ☺️
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the two parts on the PBP ride. Thanks to you both for putting in an incredible amount of effort to bring out such an awesome experience for the viewers like me. I am sure this inspires a whole lot of upcoming riders to dream big and try their hands at fabulous rides like the PBP. CHEERS ✨✨
Glad you enjoyed the videos - thanks so much for watching 🥰
@@amy.cycling.adventures As a matter of fact, we all should thank you both!! Btw, I wondered how you managed to capture the footage, maybe by some sort of handle bar mount or something, but then I realised that you were holding it with one hand and holding the bike with the other hand. I think that's incredibly challenging unless one has the ambition to encapsulate the whole ride in the best possible manner!
Wonderful vlog! Yippee! Congratulations to you, Kyle & everyone else! Looking forward to Part 2! 😊
Thank you!!
So great to see what it was like for you both, after following the live feed. Brilliant teamwork, looking after each other all the way! ❤ Amazing milones!! You both did so well, and with your period, Amy!! Xxx
Thank you so much, really appreciate the support 🤍
Day and night hard ride, 👍 Very strong all of you. 👍 Amazing
648 views in 35 mins. Your channel is growing.....Nice one!
Life is about adventures and experiences. It's these that you remember and share despite any ups and downs and the spanners of life / biology throw at you. As a dad of two daughters, I admire what women achieve despite the challenges thrown at them. You both look happy and thats all that matters. Having the support of the locals just adds to the experience. Look forward to seeing how you get on, but just qualifying for the PBP is impressive. Great job. 👍
Ahh thanks for watching and for such kind words 🫶
Amazing great video both - what an adventure and lovely duo you make on screen. looking forward to see how the return leg goes. Chapeau!
Well done Amy. Great video
well done you two!!! of course you can do it
Woohoo - go guys! Huge adventure!
You're doing great guys especially in that heat! Keep going and enjoy it, amazing cycling feat.
Great ride Amy & Kyle ! Congratulations 🥳
3:43 Safa Brian? Did you forget the sunscreen? You're tomato red hahaha. 600km in a day is SICK. That's amazing. Furthest I rode solo is 100km and that took me 7 hours cuz I bonked at around 80km in the 108F heat and had to stop to de-cramp and find ice/beach showers to cool down. 27C ain't bad at all!
edit: Shoulda kept watching the video! That's so cute that people give out stuff. So nice. What a trip.
Thanks for a cheerful ride!
Catching up on your videos. Loving the content and your northern humour. Keep up the good work.
Thank you 🫶🙌 glad you like it the videos!
PBP about a month after a 24hr and having period pains. I'm not surprised you weren't at your best. But you were easily good enough and looked like you had a more comfortable ride than most. Well done to Kyle as well. Going from beginner to riding PBP in the time he did is very good and I doubt many could do that. Changing saddles close to PBP could have been very bad but might possibly have made things better.
I agree about the cost of food at controls. But at least it helped me lose some fat, so I am not complaining that much...
Yes haha I have been busy! Thank you, Kyle did awesome ☺️ haha true it wasn’t that bad really ☺️ such an amazing event!
I've been waiting for this with more excitement than top gun 2 . I've even commented before watching it 😂
Haha 😂 thanks so much for watching!!
Good to see your smiles at the outset & to hear you mention the butterflies in your stomach -- keep it going, slow & steady. Kyle is like a dog chasing a car when he sees another group of riders.
Heroic ride! Loved the vid looking forward to the return leg!
You both did great! Thanks for sharing your info for the ride. I enjoyed following your progress on the map on their website.
I have to say how inspired I am after watching your videos. You, Kyle and your fellow Derby cyclist are such lovely people. I do like long rides and exploring new places on bike. I have never considered doing an Audax, after watching these videos I now want to have a go at PBP.
Ahh thank you for watching & so pleased to hear you’re considering PBP! Go for it ☺️
Oh my god! Love watching you two your so positive and happy hope you enjoy it all And take care and well done both of you 😊😊😅
Well done to you both amazing. Looks a fabulous cycling adventure
By chance while surfing the Internet I finally found you. I was a spectator I saw you both, without knowing who you were, at the Fougères checkpoint on Wednesday morning and your smile lit up the entire bike park.
Ahh hiya! Haha we were having a good time 🙌 thanks for coming to support ☺️
@@amy.cycling.adventures I have a question that bothers me a lot (lol), as I'm French I don't really understand everything you say in your videos, what is "melonies" (or "meloneys"?)
@@lessons5553 it means miles 😂 it’s just a silly thing I say!
Thks. Wondered about that, did not find any translation
Well done & thank you for sharing this challenge/adventure! Makes my sportive from Bakewell this Saturday seem like a trip to the local shop!
Massive good luck!!
Great video. I like your infectious enthusiasm! The yippees are superb and I admire your husband for being able to accept all the noise you make on a ride for at least 600km (I await part 2) - what an unsung hero. I dnf'd in 2007 and I completed PBP in 2011. Positive mental attitude is 99% of the deal in events like PBp All things being equal - fitness, bike fit, and weather, it all comes down to mental attitude. Weather one can never control but I see from other vids that you are ok with fitness and bike fit. Really nice to watch - for various reasons I had no plans to do PBP again but maybe I will have to look at this again. 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
Ahh well done on PBP!! Yes mental attitude is a massive part of it, got to keep the positive self talk going ~ haha yes Kyle does well to cope with my hyper-ness although part 2 might be a little less enthusiastic 😅 well you’ve got 4 years until 2027, so maybe see you there!
@@amy.cycling.adventures part 2 was good. Suffering can be part of it. On my 2011 PBP I went down with Shermers neck just after I left La Perche control in the last 160km. I was so pissed off riding with one hand holding my head up - but I made it. I will be 64 in 2027 - still doable.
@@MrWarrensimmons wow that sounds so hard well done for completing it! Hopefully see you in 27!
Think you did really well. Don’t beat yourself up. Gravel rides are soo different than road. I remember when I started I constantly thinking I was going to fall off while still clipped in and injure myself. It just needs practice slow n steady you will get better with practice. It’s a confidence thing as well. Keep up the great videos also big congratulations on your book.
Kyle was like a dark-horse. He suddenly stepped up and amazed us all. Love the random bivvy. Amazing what 4 hours can do.
100% he smashed it! Yes loved the bivvy haha!
Well done to you both, great video 🚴🚴🚴
It’s nice watching this knowing that you both completed the ride. Well done 👏. You beat my longest ride by 800km…
Vache 🐮
La Vache Qui Rit - The Laughing Cow french advert from BabyBell cheese
👊🏻 smashing it
Well done to you both I couldn't do what you both do great video by the way.😎
Wow, nice! 😊 ride safe 🚲 🚴♀️
Unbelievably great effort from both of you. Maybe riding with the huge saddlebags before the event had a great training effect for Kyle. Hope the high energy lasts all the way to the end!
He did amazing! Thanks for watching!
Respect amy and kyle🏈👊💪
and Amy I love your ribbon on your helemt! Tremendous effort by you both...
It’s still on there ☺️ thank you!
Really good video. Feel as though I'm doing the ride with you! Shame about your period pains, that's a real bummer. Don't think I've seen so many baguettes! The roads look very 'samey', I think that would do my head in. Great you had Kyle for company and well done to him for such strong riding. Always take spare glasses 😉
Thanks for watching!! Yes he wishes he took spares still gutted about losing them 😅
Good going , Nice and steady is the winning game ! Some long walks into those controls from the bike parking rails. All part of the experience. Looks deceptive thinking it might be flat but obviously not just regular long drags by the way you seem to be hitting them time after time.
A great and different perspective of the pbp adventure
Well done guys 👏 Respect
Hi. You're both awesome. Well done.
Also on the saddle bit. Have a look at Jcob saddles. They served me and ultra cyclist Jasmijn Muller really well. PS. hope to see you some time at Caffe Velo Verde for a chai latte or porridge ;-)
Yes I love Velo Verde! Their porridge and chai lattes are the best! I was there at the weekend actually!
Well done to both of you
Only one saddle to buy Sweete, Selle Diva Lady. you are both Heroes. love from Australia.
Awesome WoW 👍🏻
Kyle with the suncream is smart it's no joke long term as a cyclist to get too mych UV. Looks like a fun ride
Awesome Amy
Awesome!!
🇨🇵👋 waiting 4 the next episode 😉...FYI, Baguette and Orangina are bad mixture and mean stomac cramps too 🫣🫣🫣
I agree that’s why I stuck to beer and Jambon Burre baguettes. 👍
What a way to spend time together!!! Super fun time and good legs for both of you!!! And of course tasty treats along the way :) P.S. will there be a review of the your cannondale Amy after this “short” trip ? 😅 doing analysis of which gravel/small touring bike to buy 🤓
Ahh thanks so much!! We’re doing a PBP Q&A vid soon & I’ll talk a bit about the bike ☺️
As you know, don’t go looking for pain on a long ride, it’ll find you….. Chapeau both.
Hello Amy,
A great video, thank you... such a good insight of the challenges trying to do the PBP... I would make a very interesting video if you could do a lessons learnt video and include the cost of the whole adventure...
Take care.
Paul,,
We are doing a Q&A video it’ll be out next weekend ☺️
im sorry but kyle looks like he's annoyed and he just want to get through it and you're here with all this energy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you guys look cute together! opposites do attract 🤣😂😂❤❤
😂 he tells me he did enjoy it really! Haha!
