Amy, you are incredible. I have done some rides where I didn't think I would finish, I just wanted to get off and push - but then you realise, it's still quicker to keep riding and you'll get to the finish sooner, so you just keep peddling. In just keeping going, you inspire others.
On rides like this you learn much about yourself, your body, your bike fit but the best of all is the camaraderie of fellow cyclists and the support from all the volunteers along the route. Congratulations on finishing the worlds most famous cycling event.
I’ve just watched part 1 and 2…. Seriously so impressed with your efforts.. even riding 10 miles with any kind of pain is a nightmare so chapeau to you Amy that’s incredible… so glad you carried on to complete your mission! Wow, what an experience… I hope everything is healed and recovering well .. ❤
Wow Amy, you must be the hardest person on RUclips, a couple of hours on a bad saddle would bring most people to their knees, can't believe you managed to keep going to the end, it must have been excruciating. I thought you were hardcore for surviving the rain on the 24hrs but this was beyond next level. Great, honest, videos, well done to you and Kyle for completing PBP, now get some much needed rest and a new saddle 😃
Bloody hell, I've been through all the emotions and I'm only watching the video. Fantastic achievement for you both I'm sure after a few weeks you'll both think of all the great memories. Thanks for sharing just remember Amy you not only rode it you filmed it as well. 🚴🚴🚴
Well done Amy, for carrying on even through your pain. I saw a video of some guy who bailed and got the train back to the start just because it wasn't going the way he wanted, and he wasn't enjoying the route. Absolutely arrogant! You are a testament to perseverance and tenacity, You should be immensely proud of yourself. What an achievement
This is fantastic. Your enthusiasm and perseverance, even when in obvious pain and so tired, are inspirational. And Kyle is so incredibly cool all the time. What a guy. Totally inspirational duo, nice one.
“Snack up” I might just nick that phrase! A tough watch seeing you in pain, sheer willpower and teamwork got you through. I’m in awe, saying well done just doesn’t cover it.
When something really challenging comes upon me, I’ll be thinking about Amy persevering through PBP, and I’ll know I can make it too. Well done! You’re an inspiration! And Kyle, those words at the end, so sweet.
Aww Amy my heart felt for you when you were having a little cry. Your mental strength is phenomenal. We know how great a cyclist you are and it frustrates you to not be at your best but Wow Wow Wow. Amazing girl. Amazing 🎉🎉🎉
I was 31 when I did my first PBP in 1983, wow over 40 years ago now... I skipped the 1987 one and came back for another go in 1991 after doing 12,000km cycle touring around western Europe for two months, I finished that one in about 70 hours. I was back again in 1995 but after 400km sickness put me out. You are a natural commentator, so cheery, well most of the time :)
It’s 10.00 in the AM and I’ve only just got to watch this. An amazing journey for you guys and you’ve rode the dream ride that many such as me weren’t able to do so. So proud of you both ❤️ TTFN ✌️
What an awesome experience. I need to up my riding game. At one of your stops I like how they wrapped the crepe in toilet paper or at least it looked like toilet paper 😆
I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, but if Kyle can finish that ride looking as fresh as he did on what appears to be a series of jambon beurre and sodas, I need to give my diet a re-think! Congratulations to the both of you on an amazing cycling accomplishment!
Broke my heart to see you having such a rough ride home. Way to hang in there. Only you know how hard it was to endure those last couple of hundred miles and most would probably have given up. You guys made the first half look so easy.
Oh Amy!!! You made me cry😢😢. I'm so proud of you and what you and Kyle have done absolutely fantastic. You were obviously in so much pain but wow what mental and physical strength. Absolutely brilliant ❤
What a little star you are. Congratulations to you and Kyle, awesome achievement. Thanks for capturing the emotion of the moment absolutely brilliant. That you shills, trolls, attention seeking weirdos is how you make a RUclips video.
Well done!!! You're a trooper for sticking to your guns and finishing, Kyle was right, you would have been full of regret if you had caught a taxi so close to the end. Wounds heal, memories live on.
Even with the discomfort, you're still like an excited little puppy. I love the attitude - not giving up despite the pain, and already looking forward to doing it again. Well done to the pair of you
Thanks for sharing all of your emotions. I can feel with you, I was also crying on my second PBP in 2011, but I also finished. Congratulations to you and your husband.
Impressive. Perseverance over adversity got you to the end. Kyle is right though, its about the memories.Hope your recovery is swift and you heal quickly. You should both be very proud of what you achieved. 👍
Ultra-kudos for completing the ride given the pain, heat, exhaustion and discomfort you were in. Also to Kyle too who just seemed to power through and especially up all of the hills. And yet, despite the pain, you refused to give up, telling yourself and us over and over again how you were not going to give up and that you would make it to the end. And you did. Your attitude shows that this type of cycling is as much about mind-power as leg-power - and you have both in spades. And I also loved the fact that even through the tears you smiled, you sang and said hello to the other riders or locals. Great watch Amy and one of the best videos I think I've seen from you so far. I think it shows that there's a lot more we are going to be seeing from you in the months and years ahead. Chapeau!
Ah thank you so much for such a lovely comment :) It can't have been that bad as we are defo going to do it in 2027! Pain doesn't last but the good memories do I guess!
@@amy.cycling.adventures That's true, although I do vividly remember the pain I was in after PBP 2019 as mentioned in comment on your last day in France vid
Amy....... You absolute warrior! Thoroughly enjoyed both of these PBP video's. A really tough watch when you were in tears.......but a massive testament to your resolve and endurance. Massive congratulations to you, Kyle and everyone who rode it or had a hand in the behind the scenes organisation of the whole event!
It seems like at the end of the ride you were in your own personal hell. Apart from the saddle of hell, the lessons learnt in the pub will a great session 👍 Well done on getting to the end with Kyle...
Former Aussie PBP rider here, a great cheap way to have cold water while riding is to cover your water bottles with a thick sock, sew them on at the bottle neck with some strong thread, colour coordinate them if your want to, soak them when you fill up the bottles, voila, cold water as the water in the socks evaporates.
Hello Amy, A big CONGRATULATIONS to the both of you for completing the ride... I know it is a bit of a cliché but pain is temporary, but failure is permanent. Take care. Paul,,
Amy, I have the greatest respect for you! You are a true fighter in the saddle.....I take back my previous commentary regarding your singing....You can sing for me anytime!! Cheers, you courageous gal. Best Regards, Pjw
Amazing ride Amy. You just pushed through 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’ll be 63 in 4 years but you may have inspired me to give it a go!! Kyle fantastic ride- so strong 💪🏽 Julia
Awesome, awesome ride Amy and Kyle, congrats. The memory of your accomplishment will stay with you for a long time. Amy, your courage to battle through the pain and discomfort is quite formidable, respect to you..
Amy and Kyle - phenomenal, your positivity and tenacity in the face of such adversity is inspirational. I am doing London 2 Brighton this weekend and a mere 55 miliones seems a breeze, I will channel your positivity. congratulations
That was a real rollercoaster of a ride. Well done Amy and your ride partner husband Kyle who didn’t seem to have the same sores as you. I had a better time riding with my club mate Jackie who finished in 76hrs. We started Sunday evening so were on a 600,300,300 schedule for our ride that worked well.
Amazing ride by both of you. During the little section of tears you could see a very very determined set of eyes and face. Chapeau, Chapeau, Chapeau !!
Great achievement Amy and Kyle hats off to the two of you,Amy you are one hard lady to battle through all that pain, you are an inspiration to all you ladies, loved the videos and full credit for finishing, keep up the good work.
Amy, you crushed it! I could feel how much hurt you were in and you just kept going! Your optimism and positivity were shining through, even through tears. So impressed! Thank you for sharing your journey.
What a great video of your experience. There were certainly many UPs, but the downs are also expected. You are so entertaining with your “woo-hoo”, your “walking like a duck”, and your honest crying with the pain! Quite an accomplishment!
Out of the 497 females that started over 33% DNF and u came in the top 50 well done one hell of a ride and thanks for taking us along.
Amazing perseverance! Congrats to everyone involved. Thanks for filming this Amy, hope you had a great rest
Thank you so much!
Phenomenal effort by both of you. One could tell Kyle was exhausted, but it still seemed he gave Amy strength to pull through. What a lovely couple.
Thank you, yes he really helped me get to the end 🙌

Think you have captured the real experience on this video. Highs, lows, pain and carbs. Lots of carbs. You even got Kyle doing a jambon dance 🕺!
Even with the discomfort, you're still like an excited little puppy. I love the attitude - not giving up despite the pain, and already looking forward to doing it again. Well done to the pair of you
