I've just picked this up in 38 with Blue dial and it's stunning. It's a wonderful combination of dressy and sporty, the bracelet is super silky, the dial and applied markers are executed perfectly and of course screw down crown results in 100m WR. I traded my Blue Datejust 36 exactly 2 years ago for my GMTc Black and it's like I've been reunited with my old watch but a super cool Oyster Quartz version. It's running at +0 sec so no issues there. IMHO the only minor negative is lack of micro adjust/half link. Give it time, it will explode like the preowned Explorer 1 36 - expecially the 38. There's nothing for £1700 to compete with it! No regrets here :-)
it's funny because I just read your comment on my replica Rolex video, and the fact you picked this beauty up tells me you know what you're doing with watches haha, appreciate the write up man I am DYING to get one (maybe 3) of these. Like you said, these WILL be a future classic

Just an off topic thing but I did notice your earlier videos weren’t lit well. You’re looking the goods now and so early on too. Keep it up! One day I hope to own the black and red fast rider from Tudor. It’s got a date complication that would help with my occupation. Plus it doesn’t too bad either.
Haha good observation David , I actually invested in some lightning equipment so show my ugly lol. That's a hardcore looking watch though not gonna lie. Would you worry about the black coating scraping off with time?
The Watch Movement I’ve seen some concerns of that since it’s allegedly pvd but on the site it says it’s full ceramic. I always tuck my arm behind me when I walk through doors also since I’m a paranoid lmao you don’t scrub so bad my guy haha
I actually also heard it was PVD last I checked which would be a shame since I personally am not against stealthy watches, I'm sure they must have updated to ceramic seeing as how Omega gives you full ceramic cases which are virtually scratch proof
It appears the watches didn’t get “gobbled up”. I wonder what happened? Could it be the SW200 movement in the 38 mm? Not being COSC certified? I’m in the market to purchase a 38 mm in blue and seeing some below retail prices.
Hi Mean! You'll be happy to hear it's doing above minimum cosc certification as per users online, you're looking at anywhere from +4 to +6 seconds fast all the way down to -2 seconds slow. Hope that helps!
Tudor still makes the Prince Date Just @ 34mm and also the Prince Date Day @ 36mm, each model has about 25 variants , eg steel, two tone and smooth or fluted bezels - these are models that are directly comparable to Rolex DJ & DD.(There is also the Princess range for ladies with a total of approx 50 variants ) The are sold in the Asian markets and listed on Tudor's websites for the Hong Kong, China & Macau markets. I find the Royal probably closer to reminding me of the Tudor Ranger 2and Tudor Chrono Time made during the 1970's - both having integrated brackets with perhaps the Ranger 2 having the closest resemblance to the Royal (except for the dial.)
Tudor is still owned by the Hans Wildorf Trust as is Rolex. That is good because not being publicly traded companies they don't have to cater to certain Tastes and can concentrate on exclusivity, and best of all, can not be bought up by SWATCH.
Pictures and video did not do them any justice, was’t a fan at first but I went down to my AD, try them on and fell in love. Put my money on em. One of the best watch deals in my life.

The Watch Movement thanks for your response ! Well i’ve already bought one. I got myself the sentry leather and i wanted to know if i made a good decision when buying this watch and if the quality/price ratio was good.
Honestly as long as you personally like the watch, it fits well, and it's within your budget you can never go wrong! But as far as the sentry, its a simple looking piece which is good, it's a tad expensive for a quartz movement, however, there's definitley worse offenders like on my "worst of the watch industry" series. Hi Sam, I actually just had a question about Era on another video.
