I would argue it actually require more time and effort to improve your looks, especially if you're obese or super skinny to begin with and you're going to be much better off when you combine both looks and game. Note - Game still requires a lot of practice and time to get good but I'm saying that it doesn't require as much.
Personal experience in my 20s and 30s was pay, net worth, height, all in top one or two percent, plus looks were OK - none of that mattered much if you were nervous. Job interviews, dates, you name it, if people see you are nervous/desperate they foolishly discount you and go for a less qualified person who doesn’t give a F and is therefore confident. All other things equal, I prefer nervous people because they actually care. Cant say the number of bad hires I’ve seen managers make by thinking like teenage girls.

Status is soo true. I'm not tall and good looking or have a ton of money. I dress well, never kiss anyone ass and I know my shit but that's not always been the case. Before I couldn't get almost any girl at all but now (with your help) I can attract most of the girls (even married ones! - it is not my thing though) without even trying to. So it was basically a twist in my thinking and all of a sudden I am a different man with a lot of options.
A great way to create game and status is to befriend several women without the intention of hooking up with them, or dating them. They will introduce you to other women, women you can get to know and invite to a date. That will be so much better than trying to approach women by yourself, relying solely on your own skills.

This explains a lot. Probably one of your most important videos, I'd say! The narrative in the industry was that you need to be an entrepreneur, look like a player, etc. to get girls for years. And they made a lot of money out of it. It made me extremely unhappy pursuing those things, because I realized I can never excell in all of those things and therefore it was impossible for me to feel good enough. Seeing it from only the perspective of two people, makes it much easier.

As a good looking guy, my view is looks helps and is an asset to have. But, it doesn’t mean much if you don’t have good social skills. Women aren’t going to throw themselves at you because you have good looks. It’s kind of like playing a video game and getting a 20% boost in health, going to 120%. You get an extra bonus. But, even that is only with some girls. They all have different preferences. A lot of women won’t even notice you if you have looks. Social skills matters a lot more.

Ive found on average attractive guys have better game. I think its because they are given more permission to be confident and women shit test them less for it. Its an unfair winner effect. Average or below average looking guys will get shit tested way more when they act confident. However if you can weather it, women will literally start seeing you as more physically attractive. For me, the goal is to improve my looks and money first. Then use both of those traits to improve my status and then afford high-end 1 on 1 coaching such as Todd's programs to actually improve game. Plus once I have my business making money while I sleep by it being a system that isn't totally dependent on me, I now free up more of my time to do game. I'm taking a long-term approach. People call it cope. But I'm enjoying the process.
Looks do more than give you a window of attention. As a strong 7 I can walk into a room of 5's and 6's (men) and without saying anything, be seen as the alpha of the group. Status is soo true. I'm not tall and good looking or have a ton of money. I dress well, never kiss anyone ass and I know my shit but that's not always been the case. This explains a lot. Probably one of your most important videos, I'd say! The narrative in the industry was that you need to be an entrepreneur, look like a player, etc. to get girls for years. And they made a lot of money out of it. It made me extremely unhappy pursuing those things, because I realized I can never excell in all of those things and therefore it was impossible for me to feel good enough. As a good looking guy, my view is looks helps and is an asset to have. But, it doesn’t mean much if you don’t have good social skills.
