Hi Kyle, thank you so much for the video. Very explanatory. I've been trying to chase a knocking noise on front suspension of my AMG w211, to no avail. I'm thinking of backing the nut off the sway bar link and re-torque, as you mentioned that might help, but I really have no clue what this bar looks like. Can you provide a part number from the FCP Euro site so I can identify it? Much appreciated.
My 2008 CLK350 creaks. I noticed the lower forward control arm bushings are worn. That must be the reason. I did notice recently, when I turn onto the road from a parking lot, it seems a little sway happens. I will have to check that rear suspension a little better. As you said, about 150K miles. Mine has 160K. So I definitely need to check the rear suspension closer. I noticed the front tires started wearing on the sides quickly. This information is still great for my car too. Thank you.

Hi Kyle, great video. I have 80k on my R230 SL55. I plan on changing out my lower arms, since I would have to take the arm out to change the bushings. If I purchase the eccentric bolts and supply them to my alignment shop. Would most shops know how to adjust it to stock specs? Thanks again.

i have the abc suspension in my car and for a while I thought i had seepage from the system somewhere because of extremely slow oil dropping from the control arm. I feel like maybe its one of those bushings/hoping.

How do you know when its your rear shocks or springs when I hit bumps it feels like the gl 450 bottoms out or hits hard what could this be.
With the advent of the 4matic would you recommend aftermarket wheels on a e500 4matic wagon?
My 09 E350 sport with 101k miles has both camber bolts installed with the maximum for positive camber and the alignment numbers still indicate that my camber is too negative. And yes the front tires are wearing on the inside. My question is , of the components in the front suspension which one when replaced is most likely to correct the negative camber? There isn't any creaking noises nor knocks in the front end at this time. I see on FCPs website kits for the front end but I am not sure which would be better given the negative camber situation which I want to correct.
I have an 08 E63. When I go over small bumps (say speed bumps) I get a creaking noise. I've replaced the thrust arms and sway bar links. No change. Someone mentioned that it could be the air struts. Is that possible? They air up with no issues. Could the air struts generate noise over bumps?? Thanks

Hi there Buddy! I’ve changed the airbags and the compressor with new ones on w211 but it won’t rise up no more . Compressor kicks in but it won’t inflate the bags . Please help!

I just ordered the syncro design control arms you recommend for my 09 clk 550 coupe. After reading the reviews on them, everybody seems to say that they vastly improve the steering response and handling. However, I wanted to get your opinion on a separate issue. Will these cause premature wear on the support bracket that they attach to? Have you had any frame damage issues? There’s no doubt that these will make it handle better, but I also want the car to be safe. Thanks!

Hey guys, I have a 2008 E350 4matic. I'm replacing the struts, upper control arms (i have the new ones with pressed in bushings and ball joints) and lower control arm ball joints and bushings only. I need the proper chart for the torque values but can't seem to find one. Can anyone help me out?

I’m trying to pinpoint what is wrong with the used Benz I just bought. It’s an older 2006 E350 4Matic, but I really like its look. Only thing is when I come to a complete stop right before it stops it makes like a thud noise and I have no idea if it’s transmission related, air suspension, or brakes. hello, I have 211 avant-garde in 2004 due to the fact that the springs have sat down, it is not possible to make camber, but the softness of the ponds will go to me and how can I raise the clearance of the spacers, too, I cannot stand more and more. I have colors on the spring 2 sticks are green, please help me choose a spring

So what if height is okay replaced bushings etc but when you hit bumps vehicle hits hard feels like I have no shocks
I installed 2 remanufactured Air Struts on the front of my W219 CLS55 5 weeks ago. An Arnott tech explained that I must NOT deflate the Struts during installation - to install them as-is. So, I received them, installed them as is and the system leveled itself properly and done. I read elsewhere that deflating the Strut during install, then energizing the Strut after installation can/will destroy the Strut during jounce from pressurization ... don't know how true that is but the Arnott Tech know their product.
Is it very uncommon for springs to go out. When I hit a speed bump slow and at correct speed it seem like a violent jolt!
Hey Kyle. @4m17s in the video, the 4Matic front lower strut bushing is shown clearly. Are these available separately? I had one go and it was Cdn $2k for the entire arm and about 6+ hours labour. All for what appears to be a maybe $20 bushing. I'd like to replace the other one in-situ before it suddenly costs me another $2k. Are these 4Matic lower front strut bushings available separately? I have 2WD Suzuki Dzire Vehicle MT version.
I had a issue in my 1000km run new car.
When i start engine and turn electric power steering left side approx 10deg it make knock noise.
Then while driving its not there.
Then again whenever car shutdown and start after 30min this knock sound comes when steering turn left at 10deg in engine idle and wheel stationary ( On both Plain and semi plain floor ) and its not sound of tyres and steering or floor.

I was debating doing this to my s class but i feel it will take away the point of the car.
@@jameslemerond7581 Find the Arnott air suspension. I think that they are around $450 per shock and they have a 5 year warranty. I have an E55 with 4 year old arnott fronts, and 8 month old rears. They feel really good, highly reccomend.
Yeah, I did the same too. There's too many parts to contend with that fail for the airmatic setup and I was losing money like crazy. I'm happy with my strutmasters setup.

I must figure out how to destroy joints on my mercedes. I knocked wheels on curbs at 50km/h at least 10 times while drifting with no damage. I hope the new mercedeses are as good as this old ones.

Floaty culd definitely be shocks, but if that hasnt fixed it, that would be really difficult to diagnose without access to the car.
I have slight know when turning slowly in and how of a sharp turn like in my driveway or parking spot only. All bushings are good and lubricated and the rack is new any suggestions
You Wish I haven’t done anything to the suspension but check all the grease points and bushings and components and to verify that rack is new .
You Wish my alignment feels perfect no sway or off centered wheels

Hi Ihaka, It can be a bushing, a bad strut mount, or a strut. The best thing would be to raise the vehicle and inspect everything first. Take a pry bar to components and see if you can pinpoint the sound.

Also on the off chance anyone has any idea how to bring back up the regular coil spring rear suspension on an avantgarde model to factory height? Mine first I noticed that it was broken, then after replacing it somehow it still sits low. Lower than other, lower milage models anyway.
Thanks, Eddie! Really glad you liked the video! As for springs, did you replace the rubber spring seat when you replaced the spring? It's possible the rubber is worn down and causing the difference in ride height. Also, check for bodies in the trunk, that will cause a lower ride height too.

Hi Mirjan, you may want to get the vehicle looked at, and possibly get an alignment. Your rear wheels could be riding on the inside of the tires.

Hi Mazhar, squeaking noise could be rear shocks, sway bar links as well as bushings. Depending on the mileage on your car, it might be time to do a full suspension refresh!

I have a Mercedes E500, 2003 that has been sitting in my garage for many months now because the Automatic transmisión box is broken and I haven’t been able to fix it. The car has been parked like I said for a long time and (because of the suspension I think) it has become super low now, almost to the point of bringing the tires down low. How bad is that for the entire car?
It sounds like the air suspension has leaked all of the air out of the system, could be bad air bags, or lines or seals, definitely not good. Perhaps you can try starting the car and letting it run and see if it will pump the suspension back up.
W211 nicest car ever made E55 AMG with all the bell's and whistles my dream. I've a E200 W211 rarely drive it, battery is always dead, how would one get rid of the yellow gunk that forms in the oil, its not a busted head gasket it's just moisture from not being driven for 3, 4 months at a time, I've changed the oil 3 time's used liquid molly flush but it's still there I can see loads up near the cams would that have to be physically removed?
to get rid of it just take the car on the highway for 1hr or more and the moisture will evaporate out. The extended engine temperature will do the trick.
