Well, I said screw it and popped the new card in and the psp read it just fine. Pops right into the games when I select the sd card. Now my only worry is a sticky square button. Thank you so much again for your replies and the info!

if you are worried about bricking your psp; you can install temporary CFW and then copy all data to the other cards. it's easy follow a tutorial

Depends if the sd card is formatted and your Psp is running cfw and Psp folder structure

i did that but it didn't work. My psp cannot take the firmware of 6.61 or 6.60, my psp is a 3001 and firmware of 6.39. Is that the issue?
