A couple of things I forgot to mention in the video: 1. You can plug in the DualSense directly into the PS3, but you will still miss out on vibration, six axis and PS home button functionality. 2. The adapter SHOULD allow you to use the DualSense on the PS4 too as it's advertised to do so on the website. However, I do not own a PS4 so I was unable to confirm this for myself.
Thank you for showing us how to do it. I just bought the XE2 version of the converter and I can confirm that it works perfectly by using this exact method.
Thanks so much for this awesome suggestion and explanation for how to use the Brook Wingman. Because of this video I have been able to find a way to keep playing my ps3 after I broke the stick while being too aggressive trying to clesn it for stick drift. I still regret breaking my otherwise ok but old controller, but now I can use the DualSense and have all the functions. It's great. I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this! I love my PS5 controller and it's nice that I can use it for a lot of games on my PS3 but I definitely love the fact that with the adapter I will have full support. I also like that it's a simple plug and play and not a lot of setup
Thanks for this video, it motivated me to buy one. I've just received the XE 2 version, i'm really happy to finally be able to play certain games that weren't working with the dual sense.
Thanks so much for the great content. Speaking of rumble , how is it compared to the original dualshock 3? Which one has the better vibration feel on PS3? Dualshock 3 or dualsense?
Apparently, I really need to buy this Wingman thing. Thank you for your video. Bought PS3 a month ago, and after using Xbox One and PS5 controllers it is really difficult to back on DS3. Dualshock 3 is way more uncomfortable, especially in first person shooters.

Question, can your turn on your ps3 with the dual sense and have all the features still on or do you have to pair the controller to the usb dongle each time you turn on the ps3?
I can confirm that Wingman XE (pink) works on Nintendo Switch console on its latest firmware (V1.4g). Motion controls and vibration do work too. But for Nintendo Switch I prefer 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter over Brook Wingman XE. If your right analog stick is too sensitive, you just have to disable 3DVR Magnification. This function is enabled by default. If you want to disable it while your controller is connected to Wingman XE, you have to press: On DualShock 4/DuaSenese: Share+Circle. And if you want to enable it, you have to press: On DualShock 4/DuaSenese: Share+Square. I can't test it with Xbox controller because I don't have one, but I think you just have to press buttons on the same locations as on DualShock/DualSense controllers.
Will the DualSense charge when used (in game time) wired with the adapter? Does PS3 menu's charging indicators works as correctly as when used with original PS3 Dualshock controller?
@@sausy6586 , it is interesting thing about that. On XMB screen - no it has not. But on black screen (when we press and hold ''PS'' button) we can see charging process. But, iis unclear for medoes it charge the gamepad? I play via cable, so it is always in working statement.
They do have a Bluetooth mode. It’s combined with Microsoft’s Wi-Fi Direct protocol, which is what all Xbox controllers use by default. You just hold down the Sync button and the controller will start scanning for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct signals to pair. Nothing different in procedure. 😄

The PS5 DualSense controller does not have analog buttons. Neither does the PS4 DualShock 4 controller. They are both full-digital buttons. Meaning they are either “on” or “off”, no in-between.
