I agree, I feel like if they gave the game back to Scott he could fix it in 3 months. Scott knew how a horror game is supposed to work. Truthfully though a half decent game dev could fix these issues. (Teleporting animatronics, lacking story elements, forgetting about chicas voice box having an effect on Freddy’s voice. 6am no save point, missing boss fight with Freddy after all the upgrades (or killing him in a way that feels earned) repeated voice lines, wrong subtitles, the audio slider having an effect on the story somehow)

I mean I think he was probably trying to give the game a fair shake and be a bit more gentle especially since it's a part of his channel's history and his fame on RUclips, but I do kinda wish he had been a bit more critical. maybe he is in the later episodes, idk.
The consensus is that the game is undoubtedly very glitchy, but that some of the design choices are amazing: the sun/moon character is awesome, the Pizzaplex is incredibly detailed and MASSIVE, the new take on the animatronics is wild, etc. Basically, it's a very ambitious game, one that would have been epic with about another year of production to work out kinks and ensure the story and mechanics meshed well, but that as it stands now, is simply unfinished.
I say this with absolute respect for the team and a big fan of the franchise! Lots of people, myself included, have greatly enjoyed Security Breach, but I wanted to catch Jack up on the consensus so he has a bit of context going in! If anything, the glitches can add to the fun and laughs.
@@somedaysasi people just need to understand more of a situation first imo it is 100% of the time more complex then people think to do simple seeming things and fix them and its just… rediculous to me to see so many people so angry in general (not meaning you) at a team of less then 15 people who did all this in a relatively short amount of time and given a total deadline contracually to release before the hollidays and its not unheard of for such a deal to be made when they would otherwise have ran out of money for production atleast in this case the game IS here and can be fixed

He retired half way through the development, and the team that continued to make it gave themselves WAYYY too soon of a release deadline. They had to cut a lot of content/story out of the game to make it somewhat playable by the release date. If you go back and look at the original trailer(s), the plot is different and characters like Vanessa + Afton were supposed to appear more and play much larger roles than they did. (you only see Vanessa/Vanny a handful of times, and Afton only once in a specific ending) So, the game is lackluster because Cawthon left and the small development team continuing it bit off more than they could chew, unfortunately.

The consensus is that the game is undoubtedly very glitchy, but that some of the design choices are amazing: the sun/moon character is awesome, the Pizzaplex is incredibly detailed and MASSIVE, the new take on the animatronics is wild, etc. Basically, it's a very ambitious game, one that would have been epic with about another year of production to work out kinks and ensure the story and mechanics meshed well, but that as it stands now, is simply unfinished.

I say this with absolute respect for the team and a big fan of the franchise! Lots of people, myself included, have greatly enjoyed Security Breach, but I wanted to catch Jack up on the consensus so he has a bit of context going in! If anything, the glitches can add to the fun and laughs.
@@somedaysasi people just need to understand more of a situation first imo it is 100% of the time more complex then people think to do simple seeming things and fix them and its just… rediculous to me to see so many people so angry in general (not meaning you) at a team of less then 15 people who did all this in a relatively short amount of time and given a total deadline contracually to release before the hollidays and its not unheard of for such a deal to be made when they would otherwise have ran out of money for production atleast in this case the game IS here and can be fixed

i think jack's got some pretty accurate thoughts on the game at the end there. but can we just appreciate the vocal range of the voice actor for sun? He does sun, moon, AND freddy here, AND he was Funtime Freddy in sister location. He sounds like he's having a blast with the sun and moon voices, and he made freddy sound so gentle at the same time. I think he even voiced a funny among us fnaf meme and it's gold.

@@michaelmonstar4276 I'm not a huge fan of Cawthon, but he's not the main reason the game is shit. He retired half way through the development, and the team that continued to make it gave themselves WAYYY too soon of a release deadline.
They had to cut a lot of content/story out of the game to make it somewhat playable by the release date. If you go back and look at the original trailer(s), the plot is different and characters like Vanessa + Afton were supposed to appear more and play much larger roles than they did. (you only see Vanessa/Vanny a handful of times, and Afton only once in a specific ending)
So, the game is lackluster because Cawthon left and the small development team continuing it bit off more than they could chew, unfortunately.
