These animatronics appear to be exactly that with self awareness while going by their programming to entertain people at the place.

According to the timeline this game takes somewhere above 2020s-2030s despite the vague year 20XX so we’re in the modern era with advanced technology plus advanced artificial intelligence. These animatronics appear to be exactly that with self awareness while going by their programming to entertain people at the place.
