That thing is creepy as heck, especially with it's head missing (which is funny cuz doesn't Freddy get beheaded in one ending) and the stomach opening to grab us (which reminds me of the Funtime animatronics). While I am disappointed we'll never get to see those scrapped Freddy voicelines where he gets possessed by the program in action, I can still dig what we got. I'm mostly just relieved the real Freddy is (hopefully) safe, because holy cow I would be so upset if this is how he ended up XD

Also, the fact that Cassie actually tries to fight off against them makes it more realistic and lively than just "guess I'll die" thing Gregory does This DLC is a big improvement imo

I like how the DLC tells us in multiple ways that this Freddy is not the Freddy we know. The word "prototype" on his sole, the fact that the surprise gift in his stomach has never been opened, his head missing and his apparent non-existence when Cassie wears Vanni's mask
These jumpscares are probably the best in the whole series TBH. Instead of the simple camera shake, they are way more involved and actually move around, and Cassie actually tries to fight back. They are a bit more brutal as well, for example the endos literally grab Cassie by her hair. Overall very well done, and I’m hoping to see this style of jumpscare continue throughout the series.
I'll be honest security breach was good enough but it wasn't scary like some of the better fnaf games like fnaf 4. But ruin on the other hand makes me hesitant to play it cuz it genuinely looks terrifying
There are also 2 moon jumpscares and they are really good. He makes them when u go with him without turning on the generators. If u havent turned on anyone, u will see one of the jumpscares, and if u go with him after turning on only 1 of the generators, u will see the other.
Eclipse actually has an actual jumpscare but it’s more of a secret to activate you just have to ignore the 2nd generator and then you could just walk into them and boom

I think security breach was their sort of test run, New territory that was bound to have tons of mistakes Here they've learnt alot more and are more confident, so I think they will atleast fix alot of security breach if not just remake the entire game with their more confident abilitys. Quite a step up from the base game! The atmosphere of the place, not just being a scream in the face, and the fact checkpoints are good(i was more afraid of the backtracking than the monsters in the base game), its a solid step up

You know how there is this general theory when it comes to games where “every death creates a new timeline?” I like to believe theres one timeline out there where Cassy manages to escape every murderous animatronic with relative ease, then dies by getting hit by a random go-cart.
It is interesting that basically all of the animatronics, except mimic, aren't really evil in this. Each one of their "death" scenes seems like they are just trying to stop you, not attempting to kill, Freddy's seems like he's trying to protect you except that his body is now a gaping maw, thou Roxy looks like she's trying to bite you. The rest just seem like they are trying to stop you and knock you out. And from what we learn, yea everything is trying to stop you except mimic and the BEARAI. Which the BEARAI I think id the new form of afton also trying to release one of his new bodies, the "glitch trap" in this is more protective and trying to stop the mimic getting out.
Idk why but eclipses cutscene later on was kinda sad for me knowing that the pizzaplex was gone to ruin and eclipse talking on the daycare being flooded with kids in the morning
It's funny how Monty goes from the most intimidating character in fnaf to a weird, endo-skeleton, dog-looking thing with a mohawk, missing the bottom half of his body
It's cool how Cassie attempts to escape the animatronic when the player gets jump-scared; for example, when Monty jump-scares her, she will try to pry his mouth open to escape him.
I think I like the new directions they’re going with on jumpscares, instead of just yelling at your face, they actually show what they do to you before cutting to static.
Only problem I feel like I have is that I feel like the jumpscares got less scary later on, I felt like the security bot, chica, and monty did the jumpscares the most solid. Especially monty for be from the way he comes from the pipe at such a rapid and aggressive manner while having the messed up distorted voice but kinda went a little downhill and obviously monty trying to move around to find you but if anything he’d never see you and just be nudged into you. Other than that I feel like it thats all I really kind of it for me to be let down by but even then it’s still a improvement from main game

5:21 Sorry, but this is not glitchtrap, the name of this character is the Entity also known as M.X.E.S it's a program designed to contain and prevent the escape of the Mimic, the Entity will do whatever is necessary to contain them and hunt those down who attempt to free them. The Entity is hostile towards Cassie, who is unknowingly trying to free the Mimic, who is mimicking Gregory.
M.X.E.S jumpscare is really cool, im glad they didn't just make him into a new version of afton and bring him back. i like the idea of him just being a security system.
It honestly feels like the glitchtrap in ruin was a good guy, because we were basically shutting down the system that kept grimic locked down there, and he was trying to stop us at all costs. The fact that when we turned off the security system in the end he got sent back and trapped in X-something system (that's the security system I talked about before) meaning he was part of it helps this theory. Last thing is that grimic told us to avoid him, meaning glitchtrap is not his ally, moreso enemy which would be correct in my theory

The jumpscares in FNAF RUIN are more "detailed and developed" than the security breach ones. There's more scene, more movement, they're more Scary and i actually like the fact that Cassie fights back, like in the monty's one.
It's the best animated jumpscares, the game is extremely well animated, and it's very similar to my favorite Five Nights at Freddy's, Sister Location... where you get tricked the whole game, and there's even a "scooper" room!
I’m very critical of ruin but these are undoubtedly the best jumpscares in the series, whoever animated these deserves all the praise, the pure terror of an animatronic preparing and positioning themselves for attacking the player, seeing Cassie failing and struggling to fight back as she just has to accept her death, as compared to just “woah animatronic in your face” To be fair to Scott, he never had the budget or knowledge to create similar animations, completely different types of games. But steel wool improved 1000% from security breaches mediocre jumpscares.

I find Freddy's design very unique and quite terrifying to be honest, without his head and with his stomach being a mouth, he looks like an alien which really fits in with Fazer Blast's whole " outer space" theme.

These jumpscares are so much better than anything we’ve ever had in the series. They saw what The Glitched Attraction did and said “We can do that.” Took them long enough fr. Base game jumpscares are soooooo bad.

It's not Glitchtrap. It's actively trying to prevent you from making contact with the Mimic.
Small thing that blue rabbit is NOT Glitchtrap. Its a security system program called M.X.E.S. Its only purpose is to stop you from freeing the Mimic who mimics Gregory's voice. It will try to do everything even if it has to kill you.

I really like that they added animation to Cassie. Adds a bit of shock and awe to the jumpscares.
The Mini Music Man's melted face and all those mascot suits were definitely the scariest things in this dlc. So freaky.

It is interesting that basically all of the animatronics, except mimic, aren't really evil in this. Each one of their "death" scenes seems like they are just trying to stop you, not attempting to kill, Freddy's seems like he's trying to protect you except that his body is now a gaping maw, thou Roxy looks like she's trying to bite you. The rest just seem like they are trying to stop you and knock you out. And from what we learn, yea everything is trying to stop you except mimic and the BEARAI. Which the BEARAI I think id the new form of afton also trying to release one of his new bodies, the "glitch trap" in this is more protective and trying to stop the mimic getting out.
Idk why but eclipses cutscene later on was kinda sad for me knowing that the pizzaplex was gone to ruin and eclipse talking on the daycare being flooded with kids in the morning

This dlc is sooooo good! The jump scares are more realistic then Gregory's. The whole thing feels much more refined and complete then security breach
It's funny how Monty goes from the most intimidating character in fnaf to a weird, endo-skeleton, dog-looking thing with a mohawk, missing the bottom half of his body
It's cool how Cassie attempts to escape the animatronic when the player gets jump-scared; for example, when Monty jump-scares her, she will try to pry his mouth open to escape him.
I like how Roxy actually was being nice and actually let Cassie go she would never kill anybody
The Jumpscares that actually kill you feel more like short cutscenes due to how a bit more longer they are

Only problem I feel like I have is that I feel like the jumpscares got less scary later on, I felt like the security bot, chica, and monty did the jumpscares the most solid. Especially monty for be from the way he comes from the pipe at such a rapid and aggressive manner while having the messed up distorted voice but kinda went a little downhill and obviously monty trying to move around to find you but if anything he’d never see you and just be nudged into you. Other than that I feel like it thats all I really kind of it for me to be let down by but even then it’s still a improvement from main game
I think Chica's needs better sound design. That scream playing over the entire thing just makes it really goofy imo.

it's a program designed to contain and prevent the escape of the Mimic, the Entity will do whatever is necessary to contain them and hunt those down who attempt to free them. The Entity is hostile towards Cassie, who is unknowingly trying to free the Mimic, who is mimicking Gregory.
And Mimic1 (the program) is most likely Glitchtrap. So the Entity is the antivirus to Mimic/Glitchtrap's virus

It honestly feels like the glitchtrap in ruin was a good guy, because we were basically shutting down the system that kept grimic locked down there, and he was trying to stop us at all costs. The fact that when we turned off the security system in the end he got sent back and trapped in X-something system (that's the security system I talked about before) meaning he was part of it helps this theory.
Last thing is that grimic told us to avoid him, meaning glitchtrap is not his ally, moreso enemy which would be correct in my theory

The Monty Jumpscare being on the catwalk made me realize that everytime I played Ruin Monty just... Fell off the ledge.
I love how in some of the jumpscares Cassie actually attempts to do something to stop them like grabbing hold of Monty's mouth
The jumpscares in FNAF RUIN are more "detailed and developed" than the security breach ones. There's more scene, more movement, they're more Scary and i actually like the fact that Cassie fights back, like in the monty's one.

It's the best animated jumpscares, the game is extremely well animated, and it's very similar to my favorite Five Nights at Freddy's, Sister Location... where you get tricked the whole game, and there's even a "scooper" room!

I’m very critical of ruin but these are undoubtedly the best jumpscares in the series, whoever animated these deserves all the praise, the pure terror of an animatronic preparing and positioning themselves for attacking the player, seeing Cassie failing and struggling to fight back as she just has to accept her death, as compared to just “woah animatronic in your face”
To be fair to Scott, he never had the budget or knowledge to create similar animations, completely different types of games. But steel wool improved 1000% from security breaches mediocre jumpscares.
