I do like the sponge method with the grey. I make my own rust powder out of 0000 steel wool in a jar of vinegar. I've done several batches and they all come out a different shade of rust. Cheers from eastern TN
I REALLY like the final product. Those look great! I wish I'd done something like that on an old bridge on my logging layout. But, I used a local bridge for a local flavor and it had been painted a reddish color 100 years ago, so rust isn't too noticeable. Anyway, keep up the good work and keep challenging each of us .
Amazing work, the camera probably don't display the work to the quality that is there, that rust actually looks like it is gritty, very sharp. Cheers Rob
Thanks for the comments. I think I need a bigger layout. I do have another Walthers kit in the pipeline, but it is probably several months away. You should check out the channel ModelerManMike. He has the best Walthers build videos I have seen. Unfortunately he only did a few before he quit posting videos.
So many bridge weathering videos here. I think yours looks the best AND is the easiest. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it. This actually made me rewatch the video. Ugh, the music! I wish I hadn't done that.
Excellent tutorial! Very convincing effects, I’ll be trying them all👍🏼
Gray spikes of color are shadows🙂

Thanks for the comments. You are correct. Most of the builds look better in person than in the photos.
Nice !!
I was thinking if I can make it with thick cardboard. I have lots of thick cardboard. I only need to buy straight tracks.
Thanks, 🐾🚂 BearCreek
Could you do Walthers greatland sugar refinery?

Very interesting video, but did not care for the background 'music'.
