When will 🇺🇸 doctors start learning about Addison’s? I was hospitalized 4 times , with no answers . It was 3 years of being told “ it may be in your mind “… blood pressure 40/60 , passing out … I know some have it worse ♥️ 🕊️

Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea in adrenal insufficiency occur due to several interconnected factors.
The deficiency of cortisol impairs normal gastrointestinal motility and mucosal integrity. Additionally, cortisol deficiency causes hyponatremia and hyperkalemia which exacerbating gastrointestinal issues.
Aldosterone deficiency further contributes by causing significant sodium loss and water depletion, resulting in hypovolemia and decreased perfusion to the gastrointestinal tract, which can trigger nausea and vomiting.
