I lived in Berlin for 2.5 years, and even delivered my youngest son there. We arrived shortly after the wall fell, and stayed through the reunification of the country. It was quite an experience.
Wow it must have been quite a different experience back then and Berlin probably looked very different as well! It’s definitely an interesting city with a long history. I visited the wall last year and it’s cool how they’ve turned that into an art piece instead of getting rid of it completely so you can see some parts of the history!
@@Teanbujo it was amazing, frustrating, and constant. Much of Berlin is probably still the same. But it is cool to be able to say I was there. We saw Checkpoint Charlie be removed. We saw special trains we could ride to the west stop running because travel became open. We even helped film two movies while we were there, one of which was mostly filmed on the east side. I have so many memories.

I love the spreads you did ❤ It seems like a good time you had in Berlin with your sister😊 I'm coming from Germany but from the southwest. Have been to Berlin several times, though, because I have some relatives there and my parents lived there several years before I was born.

Haha I’ve only tasted a little bit of wasabi with sushi before so the spiciness of the wasabi nuts surprised me 😂 I love Asian food though and would love to travel there sometime in the future! Berlin in summer is a boiling pot, I wouldn't spend my holidays there.... I liked the nearby areas, less urban and with fresher air.
Yeah I guess urban city trips aren’t for everyone and sometimes it’s nice to spend holidays in a more calm environment! I live near nature so for me Berlin was a nice change 😄 would love to explore the nearby areas though sometime!
@@Teanbujo Oh, that makes sense. In my case it's more about the weather, I don't like the heat. I enjoyed Berlin a lot more in winter and autumn. I love Stuttgart and Frankfurt in autumn ❤ But yeah, city trips are not everyone's cup of tea, at least in summer.

@@Teanbujo In Frankfurt (am Main)... avoid the Hauptbahnhof and surrounding area. It's awful. And in summer it's 10x worse. The rest of the city is beautiful, specially by the river and Bockenheim 👌👌
